Today we needed to get away from the kids to enjoy some time to think and work a little before our dinner reservation at 7:15pm. We actually looked up "Places to work on computer" on Google and landed on Lestats. We literally wanted a place to sit and work on our computers. We also wanted to maybe enjoy a little coffee and a snack. Lestats delivered. We weren't really hungry or looking for a meal. We actually just had a cold cup of water and a lemon bar. It was big enough for two to share. The WiFi is fast, the lemon bar was sweet and delicious. We stayed for about 2 hrs working in a cool, calm, clean environment. There are also plenty of open seats. If you are in San Diego, CA and want A cool place to work on your computer, unbothered, we recommend Lestats. We see it is also open 24/7 too! Cool! Thanks,Ashley & Lindsey Head

Came here before on a Sunday night around 8pm to get work done. It was booming. Lots of people here. Bring headphones because nobody wants to hear your convo and also there was quite a bit of noise. I revisited on a Wednesday afternoon around 1pm and it was about a quarter full. I ordered a pup cup for my dog and a Funky Monkey for me which had banana, espresso, coconut, and white chocolate. I think the white chocolate masked the flavor of the other flavors. It was kinda too sweet which is surprising because I generally love sweet things. Drinks comes in 12-16-20 ounces. A cup generally costs between 6 and 10 bucks. I haven't had the food but it generally costs around 15 dollars and it looks okay. The staff are quick and sorta friendly. The energy was alright. Plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs and a few outside. Brought my ESA. They seem dog friendly in general though.

My go to cafe. Closes late and has free WiFi. Drinks here are really yummy and food never fails to satisfy me. I recommend a Mexican dulce coffee and a BLAT sandwich. Staff is always so kind! Lots of other people like coming here as well so you might have to sit next to someone if you're looking to use a power outlet. For the most part I haven't sat directly next to someone yet. Ambiance is very cute. Cool posters to look at and who ever is on aux should get a raise. 10/10 do recommend.

A large cafe nestled on University Ave. Le Stats provides a warm atmosphere for those hoping to work or study in a public location. The area is large enough so noise is not consuming while also allowing for collaboration. In regards to food, I really enjoyed their cupcake and cookie. The frosting is vanilla and rather plain but provides just the right amount of sweetness without being rich or overindulgent. I highly recommend it as an early morning hangout.

I absolutely love this location and the whole Egyptian theme it has going on. I ordered the funky monkey drink which was one of the tastier coffees I've had lately. The upstairs has AC and is nice and spacious, however limited outlets compared to the other locations. Also, the big con I have about this place are the bathrooms upstairs. It smelled super sour/mildewy and it was unpleasant to use because the smell was so off putting.

Got a chance to visit this coffee shop, got an overpriced tea for 6$:/. And it was a just a tea bag, that is why am telling it's overpriced. And baristas work place was dirty, pitchers were dirty too. Another espresso wasn't made good and fast enough. And selling a tea bag, it is little bit complicated.

There's a sassy male barista (dressed with a mustache for Halloween) who seems a little full of himself and acts like he can't stand working there and can't be bothered with orders. He stares at you blankly as you navigate their menu and then sasses you if you don't call their products by their exact name. Kween you know what I mean by coffee crumb cake, no need for the "you mean the coffee cake". Then had the nerve to scream out "Americana" (not Americano) and plop our drink and walk away. Go to Better Buzz or Starbucks if you want great service. The coffee CRUMB cake was worth a star.

Everyone seems to love Lestat's, and it makes me WANT to love Lestat's too. But why people like Lestat's is a mystery to me. The vibe of this location is pretty cool, I'll give them that. (Is this the biggest location??) Cool interior, spacious, and they have a giant menu of coffee drinks, a tea menu, plated food, and pastries. Perhaps you fellow Yelpers like that their expansive menu sets them apart from other bougie coffee shops? My biggest knock off their stars is that Lestat's coffee never tastes good. My recent cappuccino purchase tasted bitter, almost like one of those instant coffee machines from a hotel's breakfast bar. I'm more so of a straight coffee drinker, so the sugary flavored coffees didn't intrigue me. I soooo want to like their coffee because I don't always want to go to a bougie [insert any trendy cafe name with plants] coffee shop and pay $7 for 12oz. But you know what, their quality is worth the $7.Last note, please come only when you're feeling zen and not going to contribute to the road rage here. Because parking is a PITA.

I like Lestat's because they're open way later than other study spaces, and I come to this location mainly for their second floor, which is usually quiet. I would 100% rate this location 5 stars, except the bathroom situation is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! filthy, nasty, disgusting, stinky...... idk how else to evoke the visceral feeling of disgust that their "restrooms" bring up every time I have to step into one. It seems like it's an active biohazard. I have to hold my breath and I actively cuff my jeans so that they don't accidentally swipe across the WET (!!!) floor when I need to go in (it's always wet) We've been here almost every day this week, and I genuinely don't think that they've cleaned it once in that time -- I think I've only seen the bathrooms "clean" once, and even then it still reeked. This place has so much potential, but I genuinely feel gross coming in here sometimes (don't get me started about the elevator/area that the bathrooms are located in), and sometimes I opt to go somewhere else just because I don't want to deal with the musty air or haphazardly arranged tables. Again, it's a great community space and the customer service is great for the most part, but the kitschy charm is barely enough for the state of the most important
