Hello! Just coming on here to confirm that the owner's reply to my last review was 100% a lie. To begin with, the clerk NEVER ever asked to see our ID's before turning us away and repeatedly saying "it's just the way you guys look" so it's crazy that we apparently had an out of state ID. and second, we're both from California which would mean neither of us own any out of state ID's. Im not sure why this business owner thinks he can get off by lying and simply not seeing the customers side. I'd love to see the surveillance video the owner is claiming that the clerk felt threatened by two 5'2, 22 year old girls who apparently didn't look old enough. Thank you & do better!

Awesome sandwiches. Very close to the beach. Great stop to get a snack. Helps if you call ahead.

I bought 3 sandwiches and beer n chips 83$ way to expensive for sandwiches you can make at home.. save your money avoid this store.

Sandwiches are delicious. Best squaw bread ever!! Friendly staff and the lady was super helpful helping me decide which one to pick. Love they do pickle spears! Awesome find - I'll be back!

This place has everything, from alcohol to sandwiches. Yes there is a CVS down the street, but this place offers something that CVS doesn't... friendly service!!!The workers here are friendly and I believe the worker is the owner (not sure, so don't quote me on that). This place isn't cheap so I basically go in here to help support the smaller business people. We need more mom and pop stores around to compete with these larger stores.

A great, dependable deli sandwich spot at an affordable price. Kind staff, with a surprisingly good beer and wine selection for the such a small space. Simple and efficient...they do what they do very well.

Best sandwiches ever for a great price. Gotta try them! They have their deli hiding in the back of the liquor store. They are super friendly and always with a smile. And you don't have to wait much. Always ready in 10 min.

I feel the need to leave this review due to how my friend and I have been treated by this establishment. My friend and I are both 22 years old, we walked in to purchase a small bottle of tito's and were immediately very rudely turned away. We both tried to show our ID's and she refused to even look at them and said "the way that you look, no. I'm not selling to you." We tried to politely reassure her that we are of age by showing that to her with our ID's but she continued to rudely look us up and down and wouldn't even glance at either of our ID's. Now, the owner is trying to lie and say we came in with "out of state id's" which is very far from the truth since she didn't even let us show them and we've actually grown up in la jolla our entire lives. Not a customer friendly place. Save ur money and ur good day by buying from down the street.

Best liquor store deli by far! And forget the other sandwich places. These sandwiches are bomb. They make it with love and they'll even toast your bread. Squaw and rye are both fire, the avo is fresh, and meats are delicious.

THE BEST SANDWICH MAKERS EVER! Hands down great value. Always fresh ingredients. I eat here 2 or 3 times every week and they are consistently delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
