A nice little gem! I've been coming here for years and I'm glad they're finally open again. I love their beef nomuraki and their pickled jalapeños & onions just make it even better. I've never experienced a long wait as other yelpers have noted. The portions are great and the food is always hot- so I wouldn't mind waiting.

I've been eating this chicken and beef teriyaki since I was kid and it's still the same delicious recipe from their spot in Tijuana! I am so glad it's in Chula Vista! It always hits the spot!! The cucumber salad!! Crisp and fresh! The hot sauce and pickled carrots! The best! If you're extremely hungry... this is your place! HUGE portions that are shareable!!!!!!!

I was working down in the South Bay today and was craving a beef bowl. I yelped something, yearning for a great delicacy. I found this lil Asian-Mex fusion. I was skeptical at first, like Asian-Mex fusion? What does that even mean!! But the reviews were raving this nomuraki chicken plate and the pictures were tantalizing. I was hooked.Parking is a bit tough, but I got lucky with street parking right in front of the business. Upon entering, they have some Japanese motifs. The establishment was clean and empty. The menu is posted on their wall, decent prices for the portions they give. I opted for the nomuraki chicken with skin plate! Boyyyyy oh boy! It was a massive helping of chicken in delicious sauce over a bed of white rice, also accompanied by pickled cucumbers. It was grrrrrreat. I finished halfway before I hit my food wall. It's well worth sharing between two people honestly!! The plate was $8.23. They also have additional accompaniments in their little bar. Overall, worth the go to! Try it out if you're in this pet of town!

The food it's good I'm from Ensenada and this restaurant make me feel like I'm there, but sometimes, they don't have any food left 35 minutes before closing? I don't know if it's the staff or they don't really have food left, in my opinion, they close super early. This is the third time I'm trying to get food and the guy in the kitchen is like "tell them there's no food left" like "ya se me acabó" or making like hand signs, and the girl just laughs about it.

Can't beat the price for what you order portions are very good I would go again especially if you're hungry mouth watering taste buds explode very clean and family oriented from start to finish.

I've been eating from La Cochinita ever since I was a kid and honestly it's soooo good still to this day! Definitely worth the wait!

Chicken Nomuraki!! My favorite plate to get here is what I tried the first time I had it & has been my go to plate Me encanta acompañar la comida con la bolsita de chiles verdes & cebollitas que dan , muy ricooo todo !!

I got verysick yesterday. Salmonella poisoning .I think they are not handling the chicken safely. They have very few customers , maybe the chicken is old.I'm not coming back to that restaurant.
