86'd for coming in a few months back depressed and had my head rested on my elbow after a recent breakup. Barkeep takes my pitcher and says he can't serve me, "you're falling asleep"Tonight I walk into a full house and the same barkeep tells me they're closed. Take the star.

It's been 18 years since I visited this bar. Me and my friend went here to hang last two days ago, I thought the pool table was free, but not anymore.So We decided to just order beer. The beer costs went up to $6 each. I guess the inflation rate effect. However, some bars offered less than $6.It was Saturday afternoon and there was no crowd. I wonder why no one is in here. On the contrary, the bowling lanes were full.The ambiance here is totally different now, kinda of boring.But, if you want a place that is less crowded, this is the bar for you.Overall, I would suggest finding elsewhere. Applebees has also a sports bar and lots of beer options cheaper than Joe's 45.I hope the management will offer a free pool table again to attract patrons.Lastly, the parking is free and has plenty.

For the longest time, I've known this place as the bar inside Mira Mesa lanes (around 2-3 years since I moved here) - and it wasn't until last Friday that I discovered this place actually had the name of Joe's 45.I've come here several times for pitchers of beer for the games on Mira Mesa Lanes and also when we were buying shots for a birthday party at the lanes. The bartenders are chill and check your IDs every so often to ensure you're of age and then serve you your choice of drink.We played pool here and grab a drink here and there - my preference is pineapple with vodka - and just have fun. It's great for a night out and patrons around are quite friendly as well. Very comfortable place to hang out!

I come here even when I don't feel lile bowling! You go to dive bars and meet people and have to create the scene, jist go to Joe's if you want to watch some lovely persons already making the scene.I sot down with my pitcher of Blue Moon and watch the night unfold. Everyone putting in eight hours on the local lot returns to Joes despues, hanging out with the local flavor, the high-stakes bowling tournamesnts, and my favorite feature; a buff, dark, lovely-natured central Asian named Eddie.My favorite barkeep takes care of me. His name is Eddie. He keeps his guests all kinds of happy, and when need be, I see my familiar bartender cleaning the undersides of tables and waxing every lane, with that big heavy waxing motor. Spoken after being asked if he knows how to accomodate his current task, I can only vehemently believe that he knows what he's doing; at this point in life when I sympathize with other younger men carving their legazy into life, as much as I compare to the men I work with much, much longer, I look at that handsome bartender and as though instantly, I recognize him as the Cambodian version of me - who pays for his slumber in blood, sweat and tears.This place is fuckim' awesome. This places is great the staff is very friendly and can help with your drink selection they are very knowledgeable about drinks and beers definitely recommend this place to new comers and returning customers

Good Deals on Drinks and Food during MNF. Perfect place to grab a drink and/or food and/or a game on TV while you wait for a lane.

Had a nice selection of drinks, very friendly staff, i would suggest checking this place out, plus there is a bowling alley attached to it, brew and bowl!

Im a frequent visitor, bartenders Marissa, Bryce and Eddie are very nice... quick to attend and GREAT to make any mix drink.. fun any day if the week.

Best place to go for a drink! The staff is super friendly and the drinks are super cheap! Love the atmosphere especially during the night ;) Definitely recommend getting to know the regulars and the staff, everyone that goes there is awesome!

I am visiting from Seattle and stumbled into this small yet very friendly bar. The drinks flow like water here and the service is as good as you might find in any 5* restaurant. I however would like to make mention of one particular bartender Miss Stefani who is not only charming but always on point with here patrons.
