Delicious with a great view! Service is amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would HIGHLY recommend their shrimp mole. It was amazing. My sister also loved her Hawaiian piña colada. The parking situation was tough... but worth it! It overlooks the ocean!!

Seriously one of the worst dinning experiences I've ever had lolOur server was as middle aged-older women who you can tell is completely over the service industry and needs to retire, spoken from a server. Management, I'm sure you know who this is. We asked if they had specials (after being told on the phone they did) and got a harsh NO, then when we asked further we were told the specials for the day. I got a milky white espresso martini that I choked down, then saw the table next to me get a proper espresso martini served and just wanted to know why it was so different. She literally grabbed the server at the table next to us to talk to us and had to go to the back patio to breath... over that? She obviously didn't even make the drink, it's not like I'm yelling at her. Then she comes back and says he got a classic espresso martini, and I got the one on the menu. I say okay so what's the difference, she says the coconut cream or milk (can't remember the exact word) and I just drop it because her attitude was crazy. Just as a tip cream or milk and syrup are two extremely different things. On the menu it says syrup, so say I have a dairy allergy and drink the cocktail I would have an allergic reaction, If it's actually syrup they are serving and I had this hypothetical allergy I would have been fine. So idk update the menu if it is a cream or milk or just be honest and say my drink was messed up. If I may be corny, consistency is key. Not to mention the Negroni I ordered after (because that's a cocktail impossible to mess up) was in a martini glass. Like, what? You can't just ride off the view, put in some effort.

Party of 2 for brunch ordered the ceviche, 2 fish tacos and a Vegan Beach Bowl. Ceviche was absolutely delicious right amount of fish, citrus, onion, cilantro and guacamole. My friend had 2 fish tacos and they were excellent.I had the vegan beach bowl full of fun chopped vegetables loved the fresh herbs they put in the dish. The sauce was a bit too salty in my opinion. But the size of dish and all fresh herbs & veggies & noodles made up for it.The service was outstanding hostess was polite and welcoming. Sorry I didn't get the server's name to properly give him credit here. He was so knowledgeable @ menu, gave great recommendations, fast service and so pleasant. I questioned how I was to wrap up my leftovers b/c of sauce and he went out of his way while he very busy and wrapped it up for me. The view can't be beat! Gorgeous ocean and so relaxing!Impressed with our whole experience will be back soon.Thank you Jake's!

Probably the coolest bar in Southern California. Upscale but comfortable with views on the ocean and nice tabletop seating around an "L" shaped bar. Exposed wood beams and roof - very cool interior. Riley was rocking the bar like a pro, exceptional service, quick witted and quick with the drinks. In all my years attending the races I've only been here twice... great spot to watch the races with two flat screens. Went Strawberry & Candied Walnut Salad with the Pan Roasted Chicken entree. Of course, Ketel One Martini to help with handicapping the races "where the surf meets the turf."Definitely will come back soon. Check it out.

The view is fantastic as is the food.I started with the seafood chowder which was piping hot and absolutely delicious. I loved the little bits of corn added. I followed that with the fresh fish Caesar which featured seared tuna. Tuna cooked nicely rare and Caesar had nice big shavings of Parmesan cheese. Hula pie for dessert. It really hit the spot and you have to share it with a group. No one could eat the entire piece. Went for a celebration with six people. Everyone treated us very nicely, which not all restaurants do with a big table. Our waiter was lovely, as were all the staff.

The view and service and ambiance is 10/10, but the food is a 6/10. I recommend making a reservation to get the best table possible! We walked in on a week day and although we still had a view, there were 2 rows of tables in front of us.This place has a small menu with the typical seafood items:- Ceviche (2/5): lacked flavor. Used cooked fish instead of shrimp- Mai Tai (2/5 for flavor, 5/5 if youre just trying to get drunk!) It's super strong but not very enjoyable! - Chowder (4/5): good seafood flavor, served with bread- Seafood pot (5/5): lots of seafood and a great size to share for 2 (they will separate it in a bowl for you)Overall, I would come again, just for the seafood pot and chowder

They set up the table for my birthday it was so sweet. We always get a table by the window when we come to visit! It's worth the wait. Trying to try something new when we go - the seafood pot was really flavorful!!!My mom got the steak for the first time and it was VERY dry unfortunately. Usually she gets the ahi - she wishes she got that. The waiter was very nice and managers as well

Beneath the canvas of the twilight sky ,Jake's Del Mar stands, where the seagulls cry .A sanctuary where the sun bids the day goodbye ,In hues of orange and pink, the waves sigh .The ocean's bounty on a plate does lie ,With every morsel, the taste buds fly .A symphony of flavors, oh so spry ,A dance of sea and spice, none can deny .In vino veritas, the Pinot Noir's high ,A velvety whisper, a soft lullaby .It pairs with the sea's fare, oh so sly ,A sip, a bite, a moment under the eye .Service like the gentlest tide, nigh ,They tend to every need, they comply .With care, they guide, they amplify ,The dining experience, under the open sky .Jake's Del Mar, a feast for the eye ,Not just a meal, but a memory to classify .For those who seek a taste, do not be shy ,An evening here, your senses will gratify .

Excellent service with all the staff especially the valet team. This place is packed nightly and reservation is recommended. Beautiful view of the ocean and after your meal, you can exit towards the beach and you're footsteps onto the sand. Everything on their menu was delicious. Huge drink menu at the bar and huge whiskey menu for us whiskey lovers. Their seafood combo was excellent. I highly recommend. We had a fun time. Cheers!
