Average Burger place. For one combo and one single roadside Burger it was $30. So I don't really love the prices. As for the food we got the best menu Burger which is a Smashburger and it was just okay. I love a good Smashburger and I probably will not go here and order this again. The cheese fries we're good. That's actually probably my favorite part of the meal. The service was decent. The two guys working at the counter were very friendly and helpful with the menu. However wait time for the food was rather slow. They said it'll be 7 minutes and it ended up being about 16 minutes. There is parking In the lot or on the street but it is pay parking as they've meters on the street and you have to pay to park in the lot period if you go over a block on a side street then it is free to park but know that it's by the beach so Place gets packed. I live nearby so I just walked. It is mostly outdoor seating which we had no problem finding a table. I saw there also was a dining area inside but I did not go inside to see how much seating is in there.

I've heard comparisons of this place to a local favorite: THE FRIENDLY so we decided to try it. It takes over the mission + garnet food hall next to Prince st Pizza. Parking is a little tough but anywhere in PB is tough. We ordered the "best burger on the menu" and the original burger subbed with grilled onions. The "best burger" is VERY SIMILAR to the friendly's but maybe a tad bigger and fancier bun. I have a little more bias to the friendly as it was my first smash burger but I liked that this bun didn't get soggy. It's also in a more convenient location if I were to bar hop around PB. The original burger was good but mid(?) it's not bad, just your average joe burger. I liked that it didn't make me feel heavy / meat sweats compared to a regular plain smash burger though. Service is pretty fast as well with mustard and ketchup self serve on the side. Food was ready in about 10 minutes.

Irv's Burgers is an LA area import that was established 78 years ago. The business has inherited one of the stalls at the Mission + Garnet Food Hall in PB. Along with a famous out-of-state pizza chain, they are now the anchor tenants to the facility with a rotating sign on the southwest corner advertising their presence. One stall has been converted to a sit-down dining area where customers can enjoy their food/drink on-site.Burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, sides, floats, and milkshakes were the main categories. I chose one of the four burgers and one of the two hot dogs for my meal. Best Burger on "The Menu" was a pressed to order double 1/4 pound patty with American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, and Irv's sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun. The best part of this item was the crispy edges to the meat from being smashed on the flat top grill. Irv's Dog was an all-beef Hebrew National frank served on a buttered and toasted bun. It was very plain and underwhelming for $5.I didn't encounter any service issues or a significant wait for my food. The staff seemed efficient and pleasant. If I were to return for another visit, then it would be to try one of the floats or shakes and not a homemade chocolate chip cookie priced at $5.50. Four stars for the Best Burger on "The Menu" and two stars for the Irv's Dog equals an overall three star rating for Irv's Burgers.

Kinda like carney food but pricey. Chili dog felt like it was leftovers style. Pastrami sando was thin albeit with good rye bread. Tater tots look like they were printed from a 3D printer. Nice seating area if not daves hot chicken style bz bz bz.

I enjoyed a nice old school patty melt from Irv's Burgers. I am glad to learn that places like Irv's are still offering old school, but great menu items, like the traditional patty melt on griddle rye bread. The patty is a classic in American diner scene. For only $11.50, they double up the all beef quality patties for this patty sandwich and include melted American cheese, tender grilled onions, Irv's sauce, and toasted rye bread. I asked for the sauce on the side. The patty melt was delicious indeed. I loved the exterior crunch of the rye bread and its flavor. They did it right here. The meat was tender and juicy, and the grilled onions were outstanding. I would put those onions on any burger. Every bite of this patty melt was delicious. The service is friendly enough, but a more welcoming sense of enthusiasm would be appreciated.

Manager running the front told us 9 minutes; took over 30 minutes and they added cheese and ruined our "custom burger" bc they weren't paying attention. If you have food allergies, avoid this place because they will harm you from gross negligence. I use to manage restaurants and this is beyond atrocious.

Amazing smash burger. I dont have to go out of my way to smash & dash anymore ;-) crispy to the edge. I got the 'best burger', but wishing I got the roadhouse instead, as that has veggies to balance out the heavy patties and sauce. BLT could use more spread, but was decent. Wasn't salty. Bacon was crisp.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of enjoying the new Irvs Burgers location in Pacific Beach. The quality and service is just as amazing as the Los Angeles locations. I enjoyed the Best Burger On The Menu -Lettuce Wrap, and my partner got the Original Roadside. We ended up adding Onion rings (with BBQ) and tater tots with their amazing Irvs sauce. There is a small dining room off to the side where you can feel the ocean breeze and enjoy your meal. This small and growing business has hit another home run with this location.

Wow .... The best burger on the menu was maybe the best burger I've ever had in my life. The service here was fantastic. They got my order out quickly and perfectly correct. Very cool spot. Hope they start staying open later than 10pm. This could be a late night staple.
