Humberto's is the BEST BEST BEST taco shop in san diego. don't come for me. their machaca burrito is the most delicious bite ever, i only wish they served it after 12pm. Also the salsa is some of the best taco shop salsa out there. Their tacos are huge and delicious also. 100% recommend everything on the menu but if it's breakfast you better be getting that machaca burrito. Parking is relatively easy in that little lot.

I tried a "California" burrito for the first time!The steak was good but surprisingly a bit tough for me (I enjoy a medium-well steak). I also found it to be dry. It does come with hot sauces which I added to the burrito. I may be used to east coast versions that have more moisture in the burrito from beans, pico de gallo, or sour cream in the burrito. The french fries were bland and didn't add anything to the burrito for me.Disclaimer: These are my personal opinions, and no hate to the California-style burritoI will say the burrito was huge and very filling! One burrito is probably enough to split between two people, seriously!I also liked the Jamaican drink! It tasted like a sweet cranberry juice.

Great customer service, good was delicious, I just wish they extended their hours. Classic San Diego taco shop feeling. Quality ingredients and great salsa. Will definitely make this one of my go to taco shops!

I have eaten here twice for breakfast and the first time the carne asada torta had lots of flavor, but the second time no flavor what so ever. Unfortunately I will not eat here again. I feel that I'm not welcomed here. No greeting or a thank you.

This place was highly recommended by my best friend, who was once stationed in San Diego. I was instructed to get either the Carne Asada burrito, or the Carne Asada fries. I chose the fries. The first thing that I noticed was that for a Mexican restaurant, the food was kind of pricey. I the cost of my fries was $15. I ended up only waiting about 5 minutes for my food. And wow, they do give you a lot. the meat was well seasoned and the guacamole sauce was amazing. Given the time of day, and it was busy, probably affected the quality. Just with the temperature, I can, or I could tell that everything was dropped due to the volume of customers. If the fries were popping, hot, and the meat was fresh off the griddle, this probably would have been one of the best dishes that I have ever had on the West Coast. Before I leave, I will try my luck with the Carne Asada burrito. I am going to visit another location. But overall, I have to give it four stars the place was clean, and again the meat was well seasoned, and the sauces were amazing

This place is a must try! One of my top 3 places for Mexican food. Carne asada fries are my go to item. The fries are crunchy, the carne asada is perfect. Just everything goes well and they portion everything perfectly and don't skimp on anything. Their horchata is delicious as well! The service is great as well as they are very welcoming and always give salsa out! They updated the place but still plenty of seating and great place to eat!

The Great:-Not a super busy plaza, so will always find parking-Food came out FAST-Generous, and I mean GENEROUS portion sizeUnfortunately, the food itself was lacking flavor. Most notably, the California burrito was a tad too dry for my liking.-If you're in it for best bang for your buck though, this place is worth it. I will note again: the portion sizes are GENEROUS!!

If you want huge portions, this is your place!! Also the service was absolutely impeccable. We went on a Friday at lunch time and there was a fair stream of business. I had a large order and I so appreciated the cashier double checking to make sure she had the order correct. The shop itself is pretty small but they had nice seating available and the inside was very clean and inviting. As noted, servings were huge. We ordered several different items...burritos, tacos and torta. Everyone loved their food. The chips were fresh and the salsas were nice and spicy. Definitely will return!

Best carne asada fries! We got a small and fed two people easily. Add both the green and red salsa and it's perfect.Parking was easy - both in the plaza and surrounding area. Quick and very respectful service - will be back!

My adobada burrito could easily be two meals for an average person.Simple, clean (snug) dining area with nice, comfy booths.Lots of parking (some of it covered!).Ceiling fans keep the dining area from getting to warm in the afternoon.Aguas frescas available. No soda dispenser. Canned sodas reasonably priced.Fresh juice store and a laundromat are steps away.EVERYTHING a taco shop should be!
