Why did I have to ask for the soup, salad and rice? Don't they come with the 3 item combo anymore? When I told her I needed a fork to eat my salad. she said i hadn't asked for one. One was never brought to me. When I asked for a soda refill, One was never brought to me either. She was the worst waitress I have ever had at your restaurant. No Fork, No Tip!!!The items are listed on you menu by number. Why cant I order them by number instead of by name. Cant your Order/Sales system include the sushi by number?You/She can do better.

Katelyn and Lauren greeted us at the door with such caring, enthusiasm and big smiles on their faces welcoming us.The food was so much better than any other hooked on sushi we've ever eaten at. We've eaten at two other hooked on sushi restaurants (both in Carlsbad) and like the food a lot. But the food at this restaurant for surpass. We will travel from Carlsbad here in the future. Sooo disappointed in this place. I used to love hooked on sushi years ago. I give them another shot here and there in hopes of improvement, but always regret it. They changed their menu, increased prices, and dropped the quality of their sushi. We went to dinner last week around 730/8pm. The restaurant was nearly empty, besides two other tables. Eating from the metal plates felt like we were in jail. The waitress stacked our salads on top of each other and then served them to us.... It felt dirty. Our plates during the service were never cleared. The table was a complete mess l. I asked for lemons during dinner and the waitress brought me brown old lemons. We ordered about 6 rolls. We received the stark protein roll and it wasn't even cohesive. It was the texture of mush and fell apart immediately when handled. The fish didn't seem fresh and we didn't eat the rest of our rolls. The waitress had a bad attitude and could not be bothered. Will not be back. For a few dollars more per roll, you can get amazing quality at Ken sushi.

Wife was cravin sushi and we were recommended by one of our co workers to try this place. Walked in and was very busy, so we're thinking it will be really good. We were met at the front by the hostess and sat right away. We were looking around the restaurant and noticed there were saki bottles as decor which was a interesting design on the wall. We were looking at the menu there were a lot of different rolls (like 7-8 pages worth), I went with the tuna hand roll and the dragon roll. The sushi came out fairly quick and the first thing I noticed there was more rice and fish, which is something I nitpick when It comes to sushi. Sushi should be more of the fish than rice, so this is probably the only reason I would give 4 stars. The overall rolls still tasted good and they looked really big as well.I think you get your moneys worth if you do come here but it's probably because of how much rice they put in vs the amount of fish. I think if they fix their portions when it comes to their rolls I think it would make the taste of their sushi that much better. This is probably my only visit to this chain.

I just had an amazing experience at Hooked on Sushi, all thanks to our Server Melissa. She was super friendly from the moment we walked in and made us feel right at home. Her service was top-notch--always on point and never missing a beat. She was incredibly organized and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. It was clear she really knows her stuff and enjoys what she does.I'm definitely coming back! If the rest of the staff is as great Melissa, this place is a winner.
