03-July-2024My wife and I went to Harmony Cuisine 2B1 for a last minute sushi date night before the 4th of July festivities with our children. One thing to note about Harmony Cuisine 2B1 is that gets very busy, so if you know you are going and don't have a reservation give them a call and get your name on the list. We decided at 5:06pm that we were going. We called and they reserved us a seat. We got there at 5:18pm and someone was turned away and we were shown to our table. We started with a delicious bowl of miso soup and then ordered two rolls. They were so good that we ordered a third and then decided to "Yelp" about it.The restaurant is easy to get too, but if you have a reservation you may want to arrive a little early to find parking. Parking is terrible during peak hours. I don't think there is anything that I wouldn't recommend on the menu because everything is made well. This is one of those restaurants where, if you get in, you will be happy and satisfied so give it a try! Thanks,Ashley & Lindsey Head

I was fortunate enough to come to Harmony Cuisine 2B1 with a dear friend who has known head Chef and founder Mickey and his amazing crew when Mickey and team were at Sushi Ota! A start to now fulfill his own vision, Chef Mickey and his team have created a wonderful dining experience with some of the freshest, most delicious sushi in San Diego! We were delighted to enjoy omakase on a Friday evening around 6pm (with reservations) at the bar with Chef Mickey hand-selecting and creating every dish. Our course included the following:- Salmon Fresh Salad- Halibut- Red Snapper- Hokkaido scallops- Golden eye snapper- Kohada (Japanese shad)- Tuna cheek- Yellowtail with truffle and salt- SSS (sweet and sour salmon, with pickled radish- Fishermen- Red tuna- Roe- O-toroI was treated to several types of extremely fresh and wonderful fish that I likely would have have tried before. In addition, the quality was impeccable. I actually did not eat sushi for over a decade due to eating really bad fish one time. It detoured me for years, but when you are able to each amazing sushi, it's one of the best experiences of dining! To speak to the quality of the fish, I generally don't like roe, but it was palatable to me at Harmony Cuisine 2B1. The Fishermen was also a very interesting fish, likely one I would not order, but I appreciated the unique flavor and taste. Of course, the majority of the fish were all sensational!Of course, Chef Mickey and his staff were lovely. The uphold the traditional Japanese art of service and style! Desserts were also specially made. I'm not a fan of citrus in desserts, but my friend RAVES about the Crepe Suzette which is a Chef Mickey special! The mocha gelato was also wonderful! I'm not a huge fan of panna cotta, but I enjoyed both of these. There are several tables and a full wrap-around bar where you see the chefs and team curating all your dishes. Reservations are highly recommended. They are in a busy complex with a parking lot, but it gets quite full so you may need to park on the street or down the block. Thank you Chef Mickey and team for the wonderful experience and creating such an incredible sushi option for San Diego!

This restaurant is located in a plaza alongside other food establishments. The elegant sushi bar is the focal point of the restaurant. Reservations are recommended especially if you want to be seated at the bar. Even with a reservations, I was seated at the table since it wasn't made far in advance enough. I ordered a couple oysters and an oyster shooter to start. The oysters on a half shell came with ponzu sauce, scallion, and fish egg. It was fresh and delicious. The oyster shooter was also in a ponzu sauce, scallion, fish egg, and a quail egg. The quail egg added a rich flavor and tied in the flavors really well. I also ordered the Kaiden Don bowl which is an assortment of sashimi on a rice bowl. I enjoyed the toro, scallop, and salmon the most. I saw their omakase offering and may do that or try their sushi rolls at a later time.

I finally made my way to Harmony Cuisine 2B1 (Convoy area of San Diego)!Harmony Cuisine 2B1 is a Japanese restaurant that opened in 2021. Their focus / philosophy is bringing the staff and customer together to become one, creating a wonderful dining experience in harmony. Harmony Cuisine 2B1 focuses on traditional sushi, hot and cold Japanese appetizers, homemade desserts, premium A5 Miyazaki Wagyu dishes along with sakes, wines, and unique cocktails. Harmony Cuisine 2B1 was awarded OpenTable Diner's Choice in 2022 and 2023. The chef is Mickey Ninomiya, who developed and sharpened his skills at various restaurants including Sushi Ota over 12 years with his passion and dedication under Master Chef Mr. Ota. The owner, Tsuyoshi F, created Harmony Cuisine 2B1 with inspiration from WCK (World Central Kitchen by Chef José Andrés), the intimate feeling in peace and harmony. My friend and I headed over to Harmony Cuisine 2B1 on a Wednesday evening. We tried the following:- Sake Caipirinha- Yellowtail Kama- Agedashi Tofu- Meatballs- Uni Nigiri- Wagyu Nigiri- Salmon Belly Nigiri- Otoro Nigiri- Salmon Party Bowl- Shrimp Lover Roll- Crunchy Spicy Tuna RollTrue to their goals and focus, food, service, ambiance were all excellent! All of the ingredients were super fresh. I particularly enjoyed the Salmon Party Bowl, Uni Nigiri, Wagyu Nigiri, and Agedashi Tofu. My friend loved the Yellowtail Kama, Salmon Belly Nigiri, Otoro Nigiri, and Shrimp Lover Roll. We both thought the Sake Caipirinha was perfectly crafted and not too sweet. One of the best meals I've had this year so far in 2024. What a treat! ENJOY!

Harmony 2B1 has the best sushi and Japanese food I ever had! I came on a weekend to celebrate a special occasion with my boyfriend, and the staff were very friendly upon arrival. They seated me at the bar as I made reservations before online. Parking was a bit difficult so come a bit early to find a spot.I decided on the omakase menu, and it was very filling for me. Every dish was fresh, prepared wonderfully, and the fish melts in your mouth! I believe that the price is worth it - though to note, it is a bit higher. My favorite was the spoon of snow crab and toro, as well as the gnocchi. The omakase menu does change, so it might be different for you.The chef Mickey was super nice and friendly. He always checks up on you and explains every dish. There are two more chefs in the bar as well, preparing food. The space is beautiful with a bar in the middle and some regular seating in its parameter.5 out of 5 stars. A must-try.

Pretty sure I got dosed here. Gluten intolerance is no joke and these guys don't seem to care. Or maybe they just don't know. Food and service were good, but not safe if you have food allergies.

Visited with my boyfriend. parking lot is small and crowded, so expect to take a few laps before finding a spot!!we had reservations on a saturday night but it wasn't busy. cute little restaurant with bar seating. service was soo friendly to us and other guests - on top of refills and sending our orders back and forth. ordered some salmon and ahi sashimi, toro nigiri, and the kaisen don bowl. fish was so fresh and huge portions!! kaisen don bowl was very generous, 2 pieces of each type of fish. reasonable pricing for the quality of fish they provide, but not the best I've ever had. I would return for a nice dinner soon :)

Ohhh weeee, so oishi! So glad we came here to eat, it has been on my list for a long time. One of the best and freshest sushi I've had in San Diego! We got seated at the sushi bar by I am assuming is the owner. Very kind and spoke to us and asked us how we found them. I started with the scallop and Torched otoro nigiri first and that made me dance! Melted in my mouth for sure. With the otoro being torched and fatty, it kind of reminded me of A5 wagyu. I also got the sushi deluxe and that was so dang good as well. They had a trio of spoons for an omakase which we didn't get omakase but they did the spoons for us. I ordered 2 sets of the spoons and of course that was so good, that's why I ordered 2 for myself! The only dish I did not enjoy was the cooked mackerel, which is the Aqua Pazza. I will pass on the cooked items next time because the raw items were so fresh and so good. The main chef behind the bar did such a good job with chatting with us when not busy but not overwhelming bothersome. Even when busy, they didn't ignore us. Just the perfect amount of attention. Usually when we sit at the sushi bar it's always awkward because we always get ignored but not here. The sushi bar service was so great. We really enjoyed ourselves. I wish we can come here all the time but it's kind of pricey so I'll save for special occasions. It is definitely worth it though!
