Happy Lemon - Eastlake

My favorite Top tier boba in South Bay. I've been a loyal customer of Happy Lemon even before they established stores in San Diego. This location trains their employees extremely well on creating and producing drinks that are consistent in quality/taste. The Eastlake and Convoy locations are supreme in comparison to the Plaza Bonita location which ONLY sells large size drinks and always deliver a sickeningly sweet drink despite my low sugar requests.Bottom line, if you are looking for a quality boba shop that delivers consistent and delicious menu items, Happy Lemon is the way to go!

Went here on 4/30 around 4-4:20pm ish and the male working there without the apron seemed uncertain what he was doing as well as the fact he forgot to put my toppings no matter how many times i've said i wanted boba. he even reiterated it but there was no boba on my drink by the time i left the store. Seemed like this wasn't an issue just for me but amongst others who left the store. Honestly happy lemon used to be my go to but lately i've been having a bad experience whenever i walked out. not only that but this place was always known for having bad management and i've been hearing from former/current employers how horrible the manager has been. not only that, some employees have attitude when speaking to others and always seem tired. don't get me started with the plaza location either, always the same short girl working there with the same guy with a black apron and she's always giving attitude.Train your trainees better and choose better managers, drinks here are fine but lack flavor. This review is solely from my past experiences and what I've been hearing from individuals who currently/used to work there.

The drinks and service are pretty good. I've had Happy Lemon in LA area before, I do think that the milk teas (green milk tea and regular milk tea) can use more heavy tea flavor. However the creme brulee drinks are delish. Highly recommend those.

Came here for boba after getting dinner nearby. I got the milk tea boba which was really good! We also shared a waffle, which was a bubble waffle. They do half and half flavors so we tried the original and oreo, with the puff cream on the side. Personally I liked the oreo better, it had more flavor. The puff cream was also unique, it was slightly salty which was a good contrast to all the sugar. The staff here were super nice and helpful. There is quite a few seats available to sit at. Unfortunately I did not see any outlets if you need to sit and charge while working.

This place was OK. The Boba was not fresh. It was hard in the middle but my drink was very lemony which I enjoyed. I got the green tea honey lemon with no sugar. Customer Service was good. I got greeted when I walked in but that's about it. There is a huge parking lot as this location is in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking.

I'm not a huge boba fan but I've been here a couple times now. I wouldn't say it's all that but I the Oreo smoothie is decent. I usually have them cut back the sweetness to 75%. It helps on these hot San Diego days. Even though I might not be the biggest fan of their beverages, I am a fan of the employees. They are always happy and usually get your order up quick!

Love their brown sugar milk tea. Wish they had some lemonade options like the La Jolla location has.

I've been here a couple of times now. I usually get the matcha latte with salted cheese 0% sugar and a cheese bubble waffle. I would recommend their salted cheese drinks. I wouldn't recommend the boba here (or any other happy lemon location) as it doesn't seem to be fresh. I'd still come back since I like my goto drink. Their drinks are super sweet so I recommend lowering the sugar level.Service is fine but parking is a pain sometimes.

It was very quiet. We were the only ones in the shop. Parking was easy, but I can definitely understand what others were saying about the In n Out line. I got a large black tea with boba. Overall the taste is actually pretty good. Many boba places tend to make their black teas taste sweet with obviously artificial sweetener. I'm not sure what sweetener they use here, but at 50% it tasted like a legitimately good black tea. My only issue, and the reason for the 4 stars, is due to the straw. If you want to get the boba at the bottom, you will only have one inch left for the straw.

Always a favorite stop when I'm in the area! I wanted to surprise my friend and her family with some sweet treats and decided to stop here. I ordered a couple of bubble waffles and classic milk teas. The Oreo bubble waffle has a super subtle flavor which I liked. But you have to get the puff cream that goes with it! The staff is always friendly. I did wait 10-15 minutes for my order, which was probably due to waffles being made.
