Absolutely our favorite Mexican restaurant. We always have a superb meal! Everyone on the Service Staff is fabulous. We thoroughly enjoythe background music...and like that it is not too loud. It's obvious that a lot of planning went this great restaurant!! Oh...and don't miss their Cadillac Margarita:)!!

I was in the area visiting my sister and she recommended we come here for brunch. We had been out the night before in downtown SD drinking so we needed a good solid meal. It's one of her favorite places so I was very excited. The free chips and salsa are amazing. The salsa wasn't spicy but had good flavor and easily resulted in us getting multiple refills. Our server wasn't super attentive but our food runner was and he checked on us often. Anytime I see menudo on a menu I must order it. I grew up eating menudo so I'm always eager to try it a new place. It was delicious! There was a perfect amount of hominy and tripe. I love the tripe so I was happy to see my bowl came with a good amount of it. My boyfriend ordered two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and they came loaded with chicken. He took his leftovers home and I ended up eating them. It was so good! I see why this is one of my sister's favorite spots.

We were staying in the area, so we found this place on Yelp Friday evening. It was busy, but we were seated quickly. Oh my gosh...YUM!!! I ordered the potato tacos with black beans. These were the best potato tacos I ever had! My husband ordered the carne asada plate with a cheese enchilada. He said his was delicious. I woke up the next morning craving those potato tacos, so my husband & I returned Saturday for lunch & they were just as amazing! Highly recommend!!!

We where staying at a local casino and needed a good Mexican food fix! Looked on yelp for the best Mexican food restaurant in the area and found this gem! Food was delicious and service was top notch. The decor is very cool . Liked it so much we returned the next day.

Came here for a work "brunch," however this felt more like a regular Mexican restaurant to me! The place does have a very homey feeling to it, however it does feel a little cramped. The service itself was pretty on point and everyone was super nice and welcoming. I got the chicken enchilada and taco combo, which were pretty good. The chicken was on the drier side but overall good. My favorite part was the margaritas which were huge and also definitely made strong. After two of them, you will definitely feel it. Would recommend going here if you are looking for Mexican food in the el cajon area!

We met some friends for happy hour at Hacienda Casa Blanca.We reserved a table for the six of us on the patio. It was sunny and warm, but the patio is covered and they have plenty of umbrellas to keep guests shaded.Steak PicadoBeef simmered in chorizo, served with tortillas, rice and beans.I was intrigued by the thought of beef simmered in chorizo, so I ordered this with corn tortillas.It was good. It did not blow me away, but it was good. A bit on the salty side, but not overpowering. Just enough to notice. The leftovers made for a pretty damn good omelet the following day.Chile VerdePork simmered in a tomatillo sauce; served with tortillas, rice and beans.Becky loves chile verde and this dish was no exception. It was not the best version she's ever had, but she very much enjoyed it. I liked it a lot too.Bex chose flour tortillas, I had one and I was very impressed with the quality. A really good flour tortilla. I thought that the price point was pretty good at $15.95 per entree. They were large portions. We took enough home for two solid breakfasts. Service was excellent. All six of us received our food at the same time and everyone's order was correct. Rounds of drinks were prompt. My Pacifico pints never ran empty and they always remembered no lime. Becky loved her Cadillac margarita(s). Even the owner stopped by our table to make sure we were happy and taken care of.

Food here is really good. The mole sauce on the enchilada was next level taste. Everything was very tasty. The service was on point. The salsa, guacamole and chips were very satisfying. I highly recommend this place. Great music, appropriate furnishing and decor, and great food. Can't go wrong.

6/8/2024 - I used Yelp for reservations at 12:15pm, no issues and we were seated quickly. Very fast service and the food was great. Party of two and we ordered a two fish taco plate and the combo burrito and enchilada. Overall I would given this a 5 star. I'm doing only 3 stars. I removed 2 stars off purely for the establishment allowing a dog, not a service dog, a small whining black dog to sit in the inside tables with a group like it was normal. Sitting on a persons lap, sitting on the bench. Disgusting to have animals inside, place them outside. We were sitted right next to them. Fine establishments don't do this. I was shocked. A dog, cat, snake, rats or whatever. They allow animals inside at tables, then you can't say yes to just dogs and no to other animals to bring inside. The dog was whining the entire time. Total of 5 stars for food and service. Deducted 2 stars because it was unbelievable. See food photos. Next time we go there and we see any animals inside, we will just leave or find a new location to eat at. Amazing.
