My only complaint is they should tell you the combo is for fountain drinks (which cannot be seen from behind he counter) and not the bottles right in front of you but I'm sure that's on purpose. Other than that they are decent & cheap. I work on the same block so convenient as well.

I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. This place was surprisingly SO good and one of the best Chinese takeout places I've had in a long time.We ordered 2 side combo: half/half chow mein and fried rice, beef & broccoli, and orange chicken. The rice and chow mein was cooked perfectly and tasted so good with a little sriracha. The beef & broccoli was deliciously garlicky and I even started scooping out the sauce and pouring it onto my rice. And the orange chicken...don't even get me started. Light crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had that gooey, sweet/sour orange chicken sauce to coat it all. Their portion sizes are generous, so a $14 combo with a drink actually was enough for myself and my partner to share. Really great value for the price. The woman at the counter was so sweet too.Tbh, this place is a little rough around the edges and is def a hole in the wall. But so worth a stop if you're in downtown SD & craving some Chinese.

The food was alright here. The price was very inexpensive so I wasn't expecting anything particularly mind blowing. The food was decent enough and did it's job. It was one of the more affordable places to eat in the Gaslamp District located a little further in. My daughter and I were coming off of a very long day of walking at Comic-Con so it was a little easier on the wallet than most of the super expensive options that are a little closer to the Convention Center. However, being that it is a little further into the downtown area, some of the people walking around were a little questionable, but nothing too crazy for the day time at least.

Don't eat here. The food was terrible. It was deceiving because they had an "A" health rating (maybe fake) but the place was not dirty but also not clean. There was a line of people which made me think maybe the current yelp rating was wrong. They also serve fried chicken and I didn't try that. I had bbq riblets and teriyaki chicken with chow mein. The mein was ok. The chicken was cold and dry with no flavor. The ribs were tough and very little flavor. Idk how they managed to screw up Chinese food this badly. They have good prices which is why I'm guessing they have a line. There seems to be a cast of questionable characters lurking about as well. If you're in the area and trying to save a buck a few blocks down there's Chipotle and some other stuff. Don't go here. Bad.

2.85 stars LOL There is no place in downtown for Chinese food, so I gave it a whirl since I was craving LOL I'm not much of a fan of food sitting under heat lamps but gave it a fair shot. The food was passably ok, and I wondered if the dour cashier/server either hated me or herself LOL. I asked for extra mustard and only received 1 packet LOL and 1 packet of soy sauce LOLI probably won't return, but I did get a kick out of this place LOL

Not sure what the other reviews are expecting... this place is great. Small family owned Panda Express type of Chinese place. It's actually great quality for what it is. Their chowmain is delicious. Friendly service and nice people own it. Hardworking people.

Pretty awesome that this place is across from the hotel. The food is tasty and the portions are pretty generous. I ordered the two items with lo mein, orange chicken, and veggies. I can't complain!

Small portions, not enough meat. Ordered house fried rice. Took 5 mins to come out. It was in the smallest container, really limited meat. About 4 shrimp (mostly just the tails.) 15-16 dollars wasn't worth. And only gave me two soy sauce. DON'T recommend!

No bad. Not great. Just an average fast food Chinese food restaurant. Service was good. Ambiance is on par with what I would expect from fast food.
