Grab & Go Subs

Solid subs every time. Very consistent. Normally will go for turkey, hubby will go for variety of the meat subs with all the fixings. All 9.5/10Nice staff and place always clean. Have yet to try any of the drinks and pastries, but definitely a must try if in the area and wanting a solid sub.

Our favorite sandwich shop in San Diego. Bf and I have been patrons of Grab & Go for years. Our go to is the Italian which used to be called the Italian Village Sandwich (IVS). Yup...that's how long we've been coming here.They've been around since 1969 in Little Italy as Mimmo's Italian Village so you know they're doing a lot of things right. Locals affectionately just say Mimmo's. Grab and Go is their satellite shops.The bread is soft and a perfect size, not too thick or thin. The deli meats are tasty. The amount of condiments are not overwhelming. The sandwich is PERFECT they make it.If the Italian isn't your cup of tea, give the hot pastrami a try. That was my first go to before the Italian became my favorite.I also recommend the tuna dill pasta salad. It's another tried and true menu item for us.Now let's talk about the price point. Everyone's pockets are stretched right now and sometimes you just don't want leftovers. Been there many times, my friend. The sandwiches are in line with other chain sandwich shops when it comes to pricing. The overall quality of the sandwiches is what keeps us coming back.

Great food, great service. Can get quite busy at direct mealtimes so it's good to order ahead by website or phone if you're able. Love that you can get breakfast all day.

Was in the area getting laptop fixed and had cravings for their Grab & Go Sub. I think this one if not best sub places in San Diego. This sub has mortadela which I love. The bread is so good and soft and not overbearing. Just the right amount of finely shredded lettuce, pepperoncinis, red onions, oil and vinegar . NO MUSTARD OR MAYONNAISE PLEASE!! Cant go without picking up a bag of Lays! Service is fast and friendly. Location is small and very clean. LOVE THESE SANDWICHES!!!,

This place has great variety of sandwiches, salads. Great for a lunch or ordered for a group! Staff is always friendly they are busy during lunch hour so order ahead or be prepared to wait a few during peak times.

Best subs in San Diego Italian Sub is my classic go to. Great bread, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Tasty quality meats in generous quantities. Great cheeses. TheHot Pastrami Classic is my husband's favorite. Great selection of chips and best of all-- their pasta salads! Tuna is one of our favorites and their pesto is also fantastic! Service is quick. My only wish is that they stay open later ( they close around 2 pm)

I work nearby, and I would often get a wrap, pick one, they were all good. For whatever reason, it's been years since I've gone to g&b. Decided to give it a shot again. Choose the everyday special, bad choice. Priced high for a mostly veggie sandwich. Wasn't pleased. Service was great, was outside talking on the phone and the counter lady told me my sandwich was ready, she didn't have to do that.

Ordered a hot Pastrami, no lettuce, add mayo, and easy on the peppercinis. It was fabulous. I absolutely love their fresh toasted bread and they don't skimp on the pastrami. We've also had the Italian and the Po'Boy. Both were good, but we're definitely addicted to the Hot Pastrami.

I've been going to Grab & Go for many, many years! They have hands down the best Italian sub sandwich here in San Diego! They use quality meats and cheese, fresh vegetables and their rolls are always on point! My go to sandwich is their Italian sub hot or cold it's awesome!!!

Man! What a find! I ate the turkey and apple wood bacon with toasted bread. The bread itself was delicious! Light crunch with a freshly baked interior and tasty on its own. The bacon was done how it should be, turkey had fresh deli taste, and the honey mustard just tied it all together. Sister had the roast beef and cheddar and also loved it!I can't wait to return!!
