Go Go Amigo

I came here for lunch on a Saturday back in May. To start, I got a chile lime pineapple mocktail, which came with the rest of the Topo Chico bottle. My friend opted for a de nada colada. The drinks were refreshing and was nicely presented.We shared the octopus, some tacos, aguachile, and the albondigas. Everything came out pretty quickly! There wasn't much flavor to the octopus and everything was just average and not very authentic. The service and vibes were cool though. I would probably just come for the drinks next time and try their dessert.

After the Corporate Dash, we were craving some margs and Mexican, and this was the chosen spot. I was drawn in by the cute hanging colorful decor leading up to the hostess stand. The dining is al fresco, as is most places in Liberty Station. I was craving chips and salsa, and I was surprised to see it wasn't free :( Although I liked the paprika dusted chips with salsa, there are many Mexican spots that provide this free with endless refills, which this place doesn't offer. They charge 3.50 for refills! Ridiculous. I ordered the Mexican chop salad with grilled shrimp. I was a tad disappointed. For this 23 dollar salad, I had 5 pieces of small grilled shrimp and ALOT of lettuce. Thankfully, I got full off of the lettuce, but the salad was pricey, considering I didn't have much protein. Avocado ranch dressing was good. My cocktail finally came during my dinner since the bar was severely backed up. I ordered the Go Go Marg, which was okay. It wasn't too strong for such a big glass. Apparently, a fellow Yelper told me there's another bar on the side! For dessert, we got the trio of flan. These flans were about half the height of a normal flan and came in coffee, chocolate, and traditional flavors. The coffee was the best, the chocolate didn't taste like chocolate at all (I had to ask the waiter what flavor it was), and the traditional was just okay - more vanilla and caramel would've been better. Overall, ambiance was nice, but the food was overpriced when better tasting Mexican can be found elsewhere. I wasn't too thrilled that a surcharge appeared on my bill, especially since the prices were high already.

My son and I hung out Friday night at Liberty station, stopped in at GOGO AMIGO, our 1st time,They have games , lovely ambiance for family ,date night or solo. order your food to your liking on their app, it was cool & fast and different! Waiters very friendly, staff friendly, food great! Looooved the Margarita!! Everything was great!! My son enjoyed the nacho Fries, I had 3 crispy chicken tacos and the Mexican corn everything good & hot!! Definitely very reasonable in price! Everything was awesome!!! Way to go!! definitely will be doing another family night here! Times are hard but everyone needs fresh air with the family time to time and this is definitely a great place to take the edge off!! My son loved it!! I loved it! Very nice!

TikTok brought me here and I'm glad it did! Go Go Amigo is super trendy but also lives up to its hype. The atmosphere makes you wanna stay all night and the food makes you want to try everything on the menu. Our server was very friendly and attentive! I got the killer bee drink and it was awesome. It has the buzz button flower that makes your tongue tingle and changes the flavor of the drink. I think the using mezcal instead of something more neutral like vodka in this drink would be the only thing I would change. The chips and guacamole were some of the best I have ever had. The elote was fresh and so were the tacos. This will be my new go to place whenever I am in San Diego and highly recommend it becomes yours as well.

Love the space, ambiance, and music. Lots of TV's with varying content. Seat yourself and order through the QR code. Pretty nice that you can order through the Toasttab app and close out the same way. Pretty standard bar food. I liked the honey mezcal drink with the buzz ball. While the food is just okay, it's a fun place to hang.

Fun place to try out, after having been here when it was El Jardin. My fellow Yelper Emmett was right about the atmosphere being beautiful. And The food was better than the reviews had led me to think. I love as a vegetarian that they label on the menu the beans and rice are each vegetarian. And I really enjoyed the Amigo Bowl. People had said that it was dry, and I can see that, but I thought it was very healthy and flavorful. And I mixed in some refried beans and some of the salsa from our chips and salsa, but it was very tasty. The elote side was really good too. My sweetie really liked the carne Asada taco. He thought the chicken taco was OK, not great. I was full but he wanted churros so I had a taste. The vanilla ice cream that came with it was very good. The churros were stuffed with very hot crème caramel which burned my fingers at first, though I was fine after. I'd actually prefer the churros without that goo in the middle. But it was a huge portion and tasty. The mezcal sour was quite tasty too. We'll come again.

This was my second time at Go Go Amigo and I was a little surprised that they changed to self-serve. However, it was convenient to scan the QC code for the menu and order/pay on your phone. Once we placed our order, our food and drinks came out quickly. I asked for waters for the table and they mentioned it was self-serve near the bar which was not a problem but perhaps having some waters brought to us would have made the experience better. The food and drinks themselves were good, I ordered the cheeseburger and fries (you have to add the side of fries for an additional fee) and my friends ordered tacos and chips/guac. I think the prices are fair and in line with other restaurants. Lastly, this is such a cute restaurant and love the large outdoor area that is brightly decorated and has a few fire pits.

This is an outdoor venue for the most part. I bought two liquor drinks and didn't check the prices on them. They were expensive at $15 a pop. Lesson learned as I spent $30 on two drinks (they were margarita based). I didn't try the food but most of the plates were close to the prices of the liquor drinks I bought. The venue itself has outdoor fire pits spread out but still got chilly at the end of the night.

Over priced. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food please don't come here. If you're looking for an instagram worthy vibe place then this is the spot. Ok parking as you may or may not know, at liberty station is usually not the worst but not the easiest either. We made reservations on OpenTable so it was nice to not have to wait for a table.My friend had the enchiladas and I had the cheese skillet from the appetizer menu as I wasn't really hungry.I'm not saying the taste was bad. But for the prize I would much rather go to the taco shop for better tasting Mexican food. The mock tails were really tasty- I highly recommend.Gave them 2 stars for the cute decor of the place, the nice open seating they have and the mock tails.I wouldn't come back if I'm ever hungry or craving Mexican food. I would come back if I'm only going to be taking pictures and ordering drinks.
