Gnarly Girl Pizza

NY-style pizza with cool murals inside and outside the building, Gnarly Girl Pizza is worth checking out. We came in about 1 hour before closing and they still had a decent variety of slices left. After you order, it takes about 5 minutes for the slices to get warmed up in their oven. Each slice is $4.50 also.I got a slice of the Fred Flinstone, Fogettaboutit, and a House Margarita. Each one was delicious in their own right and although they are thin NY Styles, they were pretty large overall. I will undoubtedly compare other NY style pizza places to Bronx Pizza because that is a gold standard in San Diego. And honestly I really believe Gnarly Girl holds its own. It may not have the local cult status that Bronx has, but they are still serving up just as delicious slices.

This place was recommended on another website and we're always down to try good New York style pizzas in SD. Ambience - very retro, fun, and cool with lots of mural. Seating was plenty and comfortable. It gives off arcade vibes.Food - you can grab slices of ready-available flavors on display or order one on demand. We love that you can get 1/2 flavors because I feel like it's rare to have that in SD. Definitely get the garlic knots crust! They were amazing esp dipped in ranch or marinara sauce. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and ginormous! It already looked promising the moment we opened the box. We ended up getting the chicken cordon bleu and the Flinstone one which is an all-meat, red-sauce type. Both flavors were amazing! My husband and I were nodding in agreement when we say this might be one of our top pizzerias in SD now. You no longer need any seasoning for the pizza's already flavorful.Service - the guy who was manning the counter was really friendly and welcoming. He was running the front of the house alone but he was really great at it!Pizza came out to about $36. I think opting for the garlic knots crust was an additional $7 but we think it was worth it. It's also reasonably-priced as the slices were huge! Overall, we'll be back to try more flavors next time :)

Pretty solid pizza, great location. Sweet pizza option for north park, love the variety of slices available.

We were visiting for a quick trip with our teenager who is a pizza connoisseur. Decided on Gnarly Girl and while the price was a bit shocking ($75 for a pizza, Caesar salad and soda) we understood once it arrived. A pizza big enough for 5-6 people. It was amazing, so delicious. Well worth the price! We had leftovers for days.

Overall, large quantity and love that you can do a split pizza. The garlic knot crust is unique.Food:Quantity was more than enough for 4, love that theres a split option pizza and many vegetarian options that are out of the box. Enjoyed the garlic knot crust!I ordered this on ubereats and everything came with it like plates, i wish they gave pepper and cheese. That was the only thing missing!

I remember coming here with my wife when it first opened a year ago when we lived in San Diego. Always loved the vibe, the decor and the owner and staff are awesome. We were here again for a visit and had to come by for nostalgia. Highly recommend the food, you can never go wrong here.

Gnarly Girl Pizza serves up great pizza and offers great deals as well with pricing. They offer many varieties of pizzas to choose from and other various items.We picked up multiple pizzas for a birthday party, and they were ready on time when we arrived. We went ahead and ordered the artichoke veggie, pepperoni and jalapeños, cheese, and Supreme as well as your classic pepperoni pizza. The pizzas were beautifully prepared, and they didn't skimp out on toppings. The sauce to cheese ratio was perfect with just the right amount of sauce. My favorite part about the pizza was the dough and crust. It was so good that no crust went to waste! The crust was thin and airey and had the perfect snap back when biting into the pizza. The Supreme Pizza was my favorite with all the different vegetables on it, along with meats. I really enjoyed the pepperoni and jalapeño pizza with the spicy jalapeños and perfectly melted pepperoni on the cheese.Everyone at the party really enjoyed the pizza and finished eating in no time. The kids liked it as well and kept on coming back for seconds. Customer service was great when picking up the pizza, and I was properly greeted with a smile inside the lovely clean and well maintained shop.

Ooh I loved their pizza. We ordered off Uber eats and got the half pepperoni and half island girl on the garlic knot crust and ordered a side of marinara. It was soooo good. I literally just ate 2 slices and had to write this lmao.

Tasty pizza, unique garlic knots with a sweet after taste, and good customer service. Fun ambiance and atmosphere. Street parking is tough though. I wouldn't return unless I'm in the area but definitely worth it to check out at least once!

Gnarly Girl is my favorite guilty pleasure pizza when I want to drown myself in chick flicks, wine, and carbs. The garlic knot crust is so unnecessarily fun and delicious. The PBJ pizza is bomb.
