I've had the pleasure of attending two events here back-to-back: one with the SD Hiking Ladies group and another with the "Thinking While Drinking" group. The fact that this place was buzzing with activity speaks volumes about its popularity. They offer a great variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including beer, hard seltzers, and hard kombucha. Exploring San Diego breweries is always exciting given the abundance to choose from. The range of options at New Motion is commendable - there's a little something for everyone, making it a definite crowd-pleaser. It's easily one of the top three spots in my book.I usually try to arrive a bit earlier, if possible, to avoid any parking stress. While the restaurant has a relatively small parking lot, there's plenty of street parking available nearby. The service is consistently friendly, and the tasting room exudes a cool vibe with its spacious layout. Additionally, there's plenty of outdoor seating, providing ample space to relax and enjoy your time.

I've never heard of this place before, and after coming here, I'm surprised it's not more popular! Their menu does seem to be more limited compared to other places though. Very spacious indoor warehouse with a smaller, super cute outdoor patio area. I tried one of their seasonal drinks which was a matcha IPA, although I can't remember the name of the drink. The matcha flavor was nonexistent, but the drink itself did have a green color so people were asking me about it all night and a ton of people ended up ordering it too. Despite the lack of matcha flavor, the drink itself was really good! Dog friendly! One of the staff members had her friendly pup there that we were able to pet! Small parking lot but plenty of street parking right outside the lot. Overall, not as popular as some of the other breweries in the area and a smaller selection of drinks, but a great option if you want to go somewhere less crowded.

Not sure why this has 5 stars.I mean to sum it up, in a region with TONS of local breweries, this one is "meh". I mean there was at least a food truck up front, and plenty of space. But the beer selection was very limited. Not only that, I've been here a handful of times through the years and the drink rotation has not changed. At all. The beer menus are sticky and not well cared for. To top it all off, the brewery had a strong smell of something rotting. Very distracting. Just skip this one.

This is a cool place. I had been to this venue once before but I don't remember it being called Embolden Beer. Anyway, pizza truck outside in case ur hungry and cool inside with some games and plenty of room. They had all kinds of beers to choose from including ciders and hard teas etc. so it was fun to do a flight. They also have an outdoor patio full of tables to sit at. Def a cool place to hang out and drink some beer.

[Drinks]- Peach Lemonade: Very slight hint of peach flavor but tastes very similarly to a hi chew candy! - Yuzu Haru: Described as a hard sparking white tea. Although good, I wish there was a stronger note of Yuzu. - Watermelon Slushie: We were given this as a free tester since there weren't many people there today and the employee didn't want to waste the remaining. Delicious alcoholic watermelon slushie for a hot summer day![Service]- Friendly, helpful, nice- Order at the bar and hang around where there's an open seat or around.[Ambiance]- Chill, spacious, friendly vibes.- Fun group games near or at the tables like Corn Hole, Uno, and other board games.- There's a small business located by the entrance that sells cute pins, stickers, keychains, and other accessories[Overall]- Would love to come back again as my friends and I had a great time here sipping our drinks and hanging out!

There was an anime micro-con going on that I saw on IG and decided to check it out as I wanted to check out as there was a brewery. It's located in an industrial area with warehouses around, sharing its location with BizBaz boba on Production Ave in between Mira Mesa and Sorrento Valley. There's a small parking lot with ample stalls. I got their Mango Palmer which was a 5% hard tea, and wow! It was a dangerous drink LOL. I couldn't taste any alcohol whatsoever and the tea itself was very smooth. There was also another drink I wanted to try that had kiwi in it. Definitely will be back to try that in the future! This brewery seems to have really good selections of alcohol that other places may not have like hard tea, hard kombucha, etc. Luckily, it's near my home! Will be back in the future.

Fun brewery in Miramar, on Production Ave just to the north of Miramar Road. Large warehouse type building with large beer vats, barrels, tables, and an outdoor "garden" patio. They have a great variety of beers/lagers/ales/cider and sodas. They don't serve food but they have a revolving set of food trucks so there is usually good food to go with the beer. Friendly staff and fun place to hang out with friends. Parking does get tight when they have events, but most of the nearby businesses are deserted to you can still find parking. Lots of noise from Miramar airbase with F-18c/d frequently taking off and landing. No issue with the USMC, but it does make it hard to have conversations or hold a more formal event.

I love Embolden! The beer and the tasting room are top-notch in my book.I've been here a few times now and each time was a grand success. The first time we came, we had another event to go to in the area so we decided to pop in and see what Embolden is all about. As soon as we stepped in we were like, "This is pretty cool".A good variety of drinks alcoholic and non- beer, hard teas, hard seltzers, hard kombucha, Tepache, and my local favorite, Preston's Ginger Beer, set the scene for what was a great afternoon/evening. They've even got a boba shop, Biz Baz Boba, inside that will satisfy those looking for a little something extra in terms of beverages. I'm a huge fan of Hazy IPAs and I've been very pleased with Embolden's libations. Oh, they've got some cool merch too.Embolden has a large indoor and outdoor space, which makes them great for all seasons. The outdoor patio has a cool, vertical corn hole like game that kept a toddler and I pretty entertained for quite some time. There were two different food spots, one cart and one truck, that provided some nice options for those looking to stuff their gullet with food and beverages. Although parking can be tight, there is plenty of street parking that is a short walk from the front door.Oh I must mention that they also have these really really cool pop-up shops put on by Biz Baz Boba. We bought so much local art and pins. I highly recommend checking out the Biz Baz website for dates and times.Huge thanks to the lively and friendly crew at Embolden! Thanks for making Embolden and New Motion a cool place to hang.

Nice selection of beers and a cool location. I especially liked their barrel aged stout, and hesitantly (I'm not a fan of pastry stouts) the blueberry pastry stout as good too. Lots of barrels with beer aging in them that I look forward to trying. The place is a bit off the path but they have a nice outdoor area too. It was raining when we went so we stayed inside.Barrel aged Seltzer? Not a Seltzer fan myself but It would be interesting to try this for sure!

We stopped by to visit a friend during a car show/event over the weekend. It was very busy. Cars and a few vendor tents outside and quite a few vendors set up inside the venue. The bar area was packed but the staff was very friendly and quick to help. Even though there were so many people they made sure to check-in with us, see if we need anything (including refills). The inside is spacious, plenty of bar top seating/standing area plus there is a very spacious exterior area with a good amount of seating (picnic style seating). It is a great location for an event and I can imagine the possibility of a band playing on the weekend. My husband got a lighter beer and really enjoyed it.There are a few other places around, Embolden is in a great location to grab a drink sit and chat then possibly mosey on over to check out a few other places in the area. Great location!
