I eat fish tacos at a lot of very nice restaurants in San Diego, California, these are hands-down the best fish tacos I've ever had and they're still $1.29! They're solid size too! They are not street tacos. Everything on the menu is delicious but I'm here almost daily on my drive home from work to have a few fish tacos!!

Locals know this place is the go-to. 1:00 Pm or 1:00 Am - doesn't matter. immediate access. quick, quality, heft portions and reliable Our family has spent $1,000s here. geesh.

Yes. In between a Gas Station and Car Wash, But dont let that fool you. This place is amazing. As a out of city tourist, had the cravings for some mexican and found this treasure.The food is very authentic and delicious. At the moment we were there it had filled up witha crowd. And after you have the food here you will know why.Fish tacos were selling point it seem. And i had some, And yes. They Hit! Delicious and fresh.Carne Asada torta and Chicken enchiladas. . were amazing! Give this place a try like I did. I am sure you wont be dissapointed.

Soooooooo disappointed!My son, 13, & I went here for the 2nd time this month. The first time food was good, service was good, although I was shocked at the high prices. We're from LA & the prices were substantially higher. Fast forward to this super disappointing visit. We ordered, my son gets a pollo burrito, it doesn't say what comes in it just says pollo asado. My son wants to add cheese, which doesn't come in it, rice & beans. So beans .85, cheese, 1.70, rice .85. Ok no problem just add it in. Then I order my taco & make sure it doesn't come with cheese, I have a cheese allergy, no cheese ok. Then I see on the menu they have guac & chips! Oooooh, it's 11.90 for guac & chips but I said let's try it! Total for 2 pollo asado tacos, 1 pollo asado burrito, & guac & chips =$53.04 with $5.00 tip. It's take out but I always try & leave something. Anyway my son opens the guac & chips & there's cheese all over the chips like nachos with guac on top. So he takes it to the guy who took our order & her says well you should have known better to ask for no cheese? Wtf?! We're new to this place & no where on the menu next to guac & chips for $11.90 does it say guac, chips, & cheese? Or doesn't say nachos & guac! I walked up & told him after my son came back telling me he said he should know better. Told him where does it say cheese?! And this is the 2nd time we've been there first time ordering guac & chips. Long story short. They're way over priced for what you get, they don't list any of their ingredients on their menu so if you have any allergies or sensitivities you need to ask about every single thing you order. Customer service definitely needs work. You should always remedy a food order, especially if ingredients aren't listed. And definitely not tell a customer kid or not that that should have known better. Who says that to a new customer or any customer? And no they would not change out the chips & guac for ones that didn't have cheese. And my son said the guac wasn't even good. We won't be back...

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and although the prices (as they should) have gone up on par with the rest of the country, the fish tacos have gone from $0.99 to $1.29 in that amount of time. Insane to think they can still offer such a great deal in the area and I applaud them for it!Service is counter service, and there are a few tables inside with some more outside.The menu covers most of the standard items you would expect, and the salsa bar is generally well stocked.Thank you for always providing us a nostalgic spot to hit up every time we're in the area from NorCal.7 fish tacos and a solid/heavy machaca breakfast burrito for less than $25 is insane to me, much love!

Tasty Authentic Mexican food at a no frills spot tucked next to a gas station & a car wash site right off the 5 Fwy at Birmingham.. We had the Adobada quesadilla & yummy fish & pollo Asada tacos both of which were tasty. Very low key casual spot.There is a small covered patio area outside the restaraunt. A lot of To go business here. Fast food @ reasonable prices. Wait in line to order. A good little salsa bar too.

It's been a while since my last review. Stopped visiting this location as parking was difficult and for how busy it was, there was too many people for a small location. Of all the El Pueblo, this one is definitely the busiest. I'm not a huge fan of their burritos, only because it's on the smaller end for how much you pay. I recommend the quesadillas or carne asada fries. The fish tacos are always a hit. They used to have good deals, but they did away with that years ago. The service is good, the ambience is crowded. They have about 2 tables inside and small outside seating. The salsa bar can get cramped and they limit the salsa you can take. Not my first choice, but it's convenient off the freeway.

To start of with this picture....... My mouth is left speechless because wth is this. The servings in these nachos and fries are just outrageous!!!!! We left with not looking back again. They're lucky we were high asf .....and forgot to mention the seasonings on this was horrible!!!! SOMEONE COME GET THEY MAMA IN HERE NEEEOOOWWWW

8.3/10. I think this place is good, but burritos are a bit pricey for the size that they are

I've been here before and it was always fairly good. But this last time was a comedy of errors. I ordered enchiladas extra hot (because they're usually a little undercooked here) and a steak and egg burrito. People were nice, service was good. I get home and dig into the burrito and realize there's no steak. Even worse it's almost all beans. I figure whatever I'll just eat it anyway, and bite into a ton of egg shells. Not a little, every single bite. That was it, I tossed it and thought at least I have the extra hot enchiladas. I open it up, take one bite and laugh out loud. Cold. Like it was never even cooked. The cheese was still in shredded pieces, clearly never touched a grill. I don't even know what to say at this point, it takes real effort to get every single thing wrong. If you guys read this tonight I was order 14, y'all need to do way better than this cuz after tonight's debacle I think I'm done with this place. 2 stars is generous and that was for the nice service workers.
