This place used to be my fav; it's been 6 months since I visited this establishment the last time and had realized they raised up the price on everything so badly- for instance, carne asada fries used to be $9.99 and now it's $14.99. Dang, $5 difference is insane:/Tacos used to be $.99 but now $1.99. Still very economical but the quality has gone down I feel like.Service is always great- also the restaurant is always kept super clean. No AC though so it can get hot as FU**.I don't think I'll be going back, unless I'm in the area :(

***LEMON GROVE LOCATION***This is our 2nd time visiting El Cilantro in Lemon Grove grand opening. Located right next to Mariscos & a smoke shop. It's the little strip right off the hwy 94 E exit college Ave exit on your right. There's a Yum yum donuts & Hinta Japanese restaurant as well.The food & drinks are basic like bar food not bad though. Good drinks & there's a also live bands some nights, like tonight 9/30. Fight was playing on the TV. The cost of the food is reasonable as with the drinks. Full house but if you just want food can order to go at counter near the entrance. Art decor on the walls is beautiful. The place is clean.Downside is the parking in this mall can be pretty scarce & tight. However, twice I found good spots not too far from the restaurant. Service is pleasant most of the ladies seem very nice. With the exception of one.

This lady that works there asked if I was "retarded" because I asked if they have guac I can get on the side. I was appalled and completely speechless. I left the drive thru and immediately cried. NEVER go here. They are the most disrespectful business I have ever gone too and have horrible customer service

The food was reheated and tasted old, not good Mexican food I'm from East Los Angeles and it's just wrong and plus and they charged us $23.28 for 6 cans of Diet Coke ! Never again and I do not recommend this place!

2 stars because the Al Pastor was tasty. Don't get the Agua de Piña, it looks radioactive (see pic). Definitely not natural.Service was bad. Took over 20mins with one car in front of us in the drive thru. Woman at the window, didn't greet us, stared at me when I asked if they have Apple Pay (apparently I was supposed to somehow know that I had to give her my cell phone to carry to the register inside)...With all the competition, it's inconceivable to me how the ownership is not more concerned about the pattern of terrible service here.

We had 2 tacos Al pastor and 2 buche tacos. The buche tacos were ok but the el pastor was not fresh meat so they didn't taste as good as they've tasted in the past. The ambiance could probably be better if they had contemporary Mexican music instead of the loud banda music!

Tried to go to this place today but when we walked in the lady at the counter did not greet us we were just standing there for about 5 minutes. When we made eye contact she looked at her phone and sat down. If you like bad service, this is the place for you.

Came here on our lunch break ordered Carne Asada fries, two tacos two drinks went back to work. Realized they made Carde Asada nachos not carne Asada fries..so walked back over there to have them remake it. The girl behind the counter, whom is super entitled and young took the food that we already paid for and wouldn't give it back to us AFTER charging us for a new order of Carne Asada fries, so basically took our money and threw it in the garbage and then wouldn't do anything about it because they have a posted sign that says no refunds so somewhere in her head, she thinks she can take someone's food they paid for and recharge them and have zero remorse and doesn't want to correct it. They have zero customer service here...highly do not recommend that you go to eat here. SUPER RUDE said I could not have a managers number. How the hell do you order food pay for it then have to reorder it because they mess up and then they throw it away????
