Dragon Sushi

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dragon sushi and it was an experience worth every moment. The sushi was nothing short of spectacular, with each piece showcasing the freshness. Perfectly balanced rolls, every bite was a testament to the quality and attention to detail that this restaurant prides itself on.What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding customer service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to make our meal special. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring we were comfortable. Overall, Dragon sushi is a gem for sushi lovers, delicious, reasonably priced and not just for the incredible food but also for the top-notch service that makes you feel truly valued as a customer. Highly recommended!

Wow! I was not expecting much of this place and I'm thrilled how wrong I was! It was completely empty when we walked by but we decided to try it anyway, turns out this place is just 7 weeks new! The prices are great, the service is extremely nice and I could not believe how GREAT the fish is!! Like shocked because of the prices. I would love to keep this place my own little secret but san diego deserves to know about it, so good! I will be back!

The owners of Brothers Mexican Restaurant in Normal Heights have opened Dragon Sushi in the next door suite that used to house an ice cream shop/juice bar. Seating was limited to about two dozen customers. The two-page menu was pretty typical sushi fare with classic rolls, hand rolls, special/specialty rolls, bento boxes, bowls, nigiri, and sashimi as the main categories. A monthly special was offered which on this occasion was a 16-piece roll combo for $20. It was made up of four different types of rolls.There were ten specialty rolls that were priced between $16 and $18 apiece. My two choices were the Angry Roll and Goodnight Roll which were cut into eight pieces. The first was made up of salmon, eel, gobo (burdock root), cucumber, and avocado topped with red snapper, jalapeno, onion, and ponzu sauce. The second consisted of bluefin tuna, gobo, cucumber, and green onion topped with escolar, avocado, sriracha, house alba sauce, onion, and cilantro.My first impression of these two rolls was that a lot of cilantro covered the products to the point it was difficult to distinguish the cut pieces. The Goodnight Roll was a little better because of the zing from the sriracha. I can't really say the fishes were top quality, but they tasted fresh. If you live in this neighborhood and are seeking a quick sushi fix, then Dragon Sushi should fulfill that desire.

Attached to a great Mexican restaurant, Dragon sushi offers deli/diner style dining and offer up a pretty good selection of rolls. Think Sushi Kuchi, Sushi Deli vibes. Right next door is a pretty cool record shop and just a couple blocks away there's Normal Height's hip bars and dives. No sake or beer on the menu, but a good variety of sodas and green tea. The service is good, everyone is in a nice smiley mood, and the food was served quickly. I would come here again for the value (the $20 special hit the spot).

Ordered their roll combo - $16 for 4 pieces X 4 different rolls (16 pieces total of math is hard )Fabulous presentation! All rolls were of the basic variety, but perfectly satisfactory and completely fulfilled my dish craving. Planning to try other rolls next time I go. Restaurant was clean and the staff were attentive

At $8 for a spicy tuna roll, $6.50 for a cali roll and $20 for a 16 roll combo... this place is amazing! I live just around the corner and was craving a small roll, nothing crazy, and was actually really surprised at the quality! Incredible sushi at it's price point. It's probably the cheapest sushi on Adams and I'd say the best bang for your buck too.

Best sushi! Glad this spot opened up within the last month. Highly recommend checking out their specials. This is the 16 piece veggie roll special (4 different rolls) for less than $20! Great staff, clean establishment, wonderful food, awesome prices! A must try!

I ordered the dragon and rainbow roll and was pleased that the presentation was good and the quality of the fish tasted fresh. This is a great local spot if you are craving sushi for a reasonable price point. No frills, just good service and decent food.

Had such a great meal and experience here! The food was delicious and such a great price, and the staff were so kind as well!! Super cute place, this is my new go to sushi spot for sure!
