Really glad I finally ventured into this side of the mall. Fast service and great boba drinks, with a simple tasteful decor. I've been craving boba since finding an excellent one in Carmel Valley but their line is always too long for my bougie a$$, LOL. This place gives less boba & is higher in price but the lack of a line and great chewy tapioca balls has me coming back!Added grass jelly to my boba tea and it's a nice addition. Their light sugar still hit the spot, so save some calories by ordering light!

I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! My husband and I arrived around 7:51 PM, and the store was EMPTY except for us and the staff. We placed our order at the kiosk and waited at our table. But instead of getting our drinks, we watched as the staff stood around chatting with each other, completely ignoring our order. At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they might be multitasking, but after almost 10 minutes of waiting, I saw one of the staff--finally--walk over to the machine to START our order. ARE YOU SERIOUS? We had been sitting there, waiting, while they were just casually chatting away instead of doing their jobs!I paid for those drinks; I didn't come here to waste my time for free! And even when they finally decided to make our drinks, they moved at a snail's pace. I've never experienced such slow and unprofessional service at a boba shop before. There were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the store, and yet we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our drinks. On top of that, the prices are outrageous--$7.65 for a milk tea with NO BOBA? Your advertisement shows boba in the drink, so why on earth did mine come without it? If your drinks don't include boba, don't falsely advertise them that way! This was the last time I will ever come to this place. I'm taking my business elsewhere!

This is my third time here and I do like their drinks and desserts. But, I placed my order at the cash register and after that more than 20 people came in using the kiosk. I ended up waiting 15 minutes as the staff person told me that there were a lot of people ahead of me although, I was the only one in here in the beginning. Also they only take cards. I did get my Affogato with brown sugar boba vanilla ice cream and chocolate fudge syrup.

I guess things are just getting expensive now. For a boba drink quite pricey. But it had good flavor.Service was ok. Order at a kiosk and then it still asks for you to give a tip. A bit ridiculous. A tip for what? You didn't even interact with me at all!!! The tipping culture has really gotten out of control.I'll all for tipping for good service but just flipping a screen towards me or on a self order machine is where I draw the line.

Ding Tea is located on the top level of the mall near H&M. The decor definitely stands out and gives a vibe inside. I asked staff for recommendations as it was my first time here. I basically got the response that I don't like boba but I recommend the brown sugar. I said sure let's go with that. It just didn't do it for me. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. They were very busy and the staff making the drinks were going incredibly fast. Compliments to keeping up with demand.

My lychee green tea was delicious. The only reason for three stars was because of the wait time. Seems that there was no urgency when the place was super packed. Other than that no other complaints.

Three stars for the decor, open space and fast check out. It was beautifully decorated, by far the best decorated Ding Tea shop in the whole San Diego area. We got our drinks pretty fast with one person ordering in front of us. Two stars for service. When we walked in, we weren't greeted but they took our orders with what felt like judging dirty face expressions. I just ignored it because I was craving boba. Paid for my order and waited. I didn't feel any welcome vibes. I was very cordial and respectful when I ordered. Sometimes you don't know what others go through. The drinks were 3 out of 5. It was a tad bit sweeter than other Ding Tea spots. We had the taro milk tea extra ice, taro milk tea with boba regular ice and another specialty drink (I forgot the name). I got our drinks and dipped. This place can have so much potential.

The price point here at the mall is SO expensive! Almost $10 for one boba drink. They seem to be doing great business, though, so clearly it's not a detractor for a lot of people as it is for me. Being one of the only boba options in the area, I guess it can get away with charging that much, but I'd rather drive further to a different location. They do have a unique drink here that I haven't seen at the other Ding Tea locations, and that's the monster boba latte with burnt marshmallows. The toasted marshmallows are a really nice touch to this drink! But I ordered my drink with light ice and a big portion of the drink was ice. Today, the girl working at the counter was a bit short with everyone and the demeanor of the employees could be a bit more friendly.

I was pretty excited to see that Ding Tea opened in Fashion Valley, but I left feeling underwhelmed. The inside is nicely decorated and big with lots of seating, but it's a little dirty. I can't speak much to the service since I used the self checkout machine to order. The drinks came out fairly fast considering how busy it was. Thai tea with boba: 3/5 stars, it was a solid drink. Boba was on the softer side and my friend liked that. Wintermelon milk tea with boba: 3/5 stars. It was watered down and I like my boba more chewy rather than soft. I think what turned me off was the price. It comes out to $9 a drink with toppings which is def on the pricer side. I prefer other ding tea locations from this one.
