Great bar and grill but don't bring your girlfriend after 12 pmThat's when all the alpha dogs are lit and the shirts come off and they'll steal your girl right in front of you You don't want to FAFO because this is bar is owned by a retired SEAL and he could give 2 s**tsOnly seals are allowed to shoot pool even tho I served as Delta Green Para Jumper for the Salvation Army

A local place that is not touristy with a very nice selection of beer. Locals is the ambiance and the history of men and women who've served on the Navy Seal teams. Service is friendly and pay a visit to see Navy history in this bar.

Have wanted to try this cool little bar tucked away on the beautiful Coronado Island for some time...So last Friday, we included it on our annual SD Christmas Pub Crawl....We got there just after they opened at 11am.....We were met and served by the beautiful "Heather", the bartender...She was super!, we found out we have a mutual love of pups, and had a great conversation with her....The bar is so Patriotic...with a tribute wall to Navy Seals who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our Country....Man, it really makes you think, and appreciate all that Serve...God Bless them...The beer was ice cold, and the food smelled excellent! (Although we didn't eat there ;)Danny's is now a staple stop every time we're on the "Island"...Kudos to Heather, she's an awesome ambassador for Danny's.....Highly Recommend!

If you're looking for a place to satisfy your hunger and your inner Popeye, then Danny's Palm Bar Grill in Coronado is the place to be! Their Super Slam Burger is so big and juicy, you'll need a can of spinach just to finish it. And if you're short on cash, don't worry - just tell them you'll pay them Tuesday for a hamburger today. They'll totally get the reference. But the real star of the show at Danny's is the mule. No, not the animal - the drink! It's so good, you'll wonder why they don't just call it a "kick-ass cocktail" instead. Plus, the cool vibe and Naval Special Warfare memorabilia make you feel like you're hanging out with the Navy SEALs themselves. Just don't try to steal any of their gear - they're kind of protective about that stuff. And speaking of history, Danny's has been around for almost 80 years! That's longer than most of the stuff in your grandma's fridge. The only downside is that the kitchen closes early, so make sure to eat your Super Slam Burger before sunset. But even if you miss the food, the friendly bartenders will keep you company all night long. Just don't ask them to lend you money - they're not as gullible as Wimpy.

Good, not great. But sometimes in beach towns that's all you can ask for. We read reviews and this was within walking distance of our hotel so decided this would be our first stop in town (plus it wasn't far from the grocery store). We both ordered burgers - which were pretty good.We were there just before the traditional dinner hour and the only table (a few folks at the bar). The bartender was also our server. She wasn't super attentive, or friendly. I asked questions and because they were in 'yes' or 'no' form all I got was a head nod - which is fine, at least she had the answer to the questions.I did read some folks were complaining about the prices - we didn't think that they were unrealistic as compared to the location, so the prices didn't bother us. At all.Would I go again? Yes, likely especially if we stay at the same place. The location is good and in reading reviews it seems as though the food is reliable.thank you for reading my review

I gave 2 stars only because over a decade of coming here, the previous waitresses gave excellent service. With only 3 tables and one man at the bar, this is considered very slow, yet my first impression was not very nice with this current waitress. Whatever happened to "Hello. Welcome to Dannys Bar and Grill, here is yoir menu can I get you something to drink while you look at the menu"?She came to the table and asked what I wanted to order without a menu in hand. This can be fixed, and a smile goes a long way!

They give proper tribute to Seals and much respect. But if you are only a veteran don't go.: the pool table is for seals only. If Dakota Meyer shows up then he can't play pool.Personally I would make it free for seals, discount for vets, and regular price for citizens. Crazy concept.Oh and when ya ask for WiFi code or. T shirts u are told they are to the left by the exit door. Asian girl bartender was not endearing .Rather pay extra to a seal charity foundation then be told no.

The food and beer was pricey for a dive bar, burger $17 and a side of fries $7 for a handful of fries. Bartender had no personality or social skills. She brought up covid when leaving hot sauce on the bar, but the ketchup bottle was ok?
