Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, this place does not look like much and it quite small on the inside. This is not a sit down restaurant, it is a grab and go. The staff was very patient, as there was another couple in front of us who had clearly never had Mexican food in their lives. They needed an explanation of every menu item. This gave my husband and I time to peruse the menu, which was nice. We ordered two of our staple taco shop orders, two beef taco plate and carne asada chips. Both were fantastic. We will definitely be return customers.

This place kept coming up in my recommendations and we finally tried it. We came on a Tuesday. Taco specials carne asada, adobada, carnitas, cabeza & pollo. They come with cilantro,onions & guacamole. We ordered the Asada adobada, cabeza & I got the New Pork Belly taco (not on taco special). My favorite taco was the Pork Belly. Good size and good flavor. I enjoyed every bite. It was Cooked just the way I like it. A must try. The adobada taco was my second favorite. I had them make a little crispy. So much flavor. I really enjoyed it. Cabeza & Asada was pretty good too. It's a small establishment with 4 stools. Not really a sit down place. The male workers there were super friendly. We will definitely be coming back again. This is the taco spot in El Cajon, they are fairly priced and taste sooo good! I wanted some tacos on Tuesday but didn't want to drive far so I checked yelp and I see why people love this place. I came a bit before they closed but the guys were friendly and fast with my order. I tried their taco specials that were stacked with fresh meat, good amount of guacamole, and their delicious salsa roja and verde. I Will be back for more.

I have to say, I was blown away by Chuy's food & service. The California Burrito was the Best I've ever had (and I've eaten burritos all over California for many years). Shout out to Alan for his top notch service, very courteous and knowledgeable of the food (our 1st time trying Chuy's, we were visiting from out of town). I just Googled best Tacos near me and Chuy's was at the top of the list (4.5 stars). The cook Santiago, did a Great Job with the Carne Asada, not sure of the seasonings they use, but whatever it was it was Fire!! I ordered the California Burrito for my wife, and she let me try it, and I almost ate the whole thing, lol.. I told her she could have my 3 Roll , and carne asada tacos (in trade), but she wasn't having that. Hahaha. Only drawback, I wish there were more seating,. I will definitely be back when I come back down to Daygo..

Try the hash burrito, you'll be happy! Don't confuse this place with Chueys, that place is sub par at best. If you're picking up pizza at the Little Ceasars next store, pump the breaks and get a burrito here before you leave!
