Chief's Burgers Brew & Spirits

Local burger and beer spot in Solana Beach.We came on a Thursday night (not realizing it was race weekend) and it was packed. We did get a table right by the front door. Seating is limited and the chairs are lawn chairs so it really is a casual vibe. There is limited outdoor seating.They had a pretty good drink menu. I got a gin drink with lavender and it was delicious. For my meal I had the sliders. Super greasy but good. I had the sweet potato fries which were really good.

i've eaten like over 100 burgers here. one of the best in NCSD by far. best chicken tenders in the county. top three Philly cheese anywhere. chili could win at events. and yes, as a bronco fan, I am extra stoked here.

This is a neighborhood staple, especially if you want to watch a game on one of the millions of TVs. They also have an outdoor area, which is nice when the weather is good.I used to work down the street, which is how I first learned about the place years ago. We use it as a pre-party spot before heading to the Belly Up.The chicken strips are infamous! They're actually most of a chicken breast that's been breaded and fried. They come with carrots and celery, and a couple of dipping sauces. If you're a linebacker, or a hungry person sharing them with someone, you might finish the order. We usually take one home, lol.This time we tried the chili fries, which I had never had before. I've had reg fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings before, but not chili. They were good, and huge. They put extra green onion on them at my request, and I ate the leftovers a few days later for lunch, after hearing them up in the air fryer. Yum!You'll find tons of families, people watching a game, and meeting up for a meal. They even have video games to entertain you. Seating is high tops, picnic tables, and smaller tables.

First time here. Chief's is located in a strip mall across from the transit center. Lots of burgers to choose from. Chief's offers a veggie burger too. I was looking for something lighter than a veggie burger (I'm a vegetarian), so I opted for the BLT, no bacon, add avocado and onion. An ALTO if you will. It was delicious! The fries were excellent too! Patty enjoyed her fish taco. Prices were good. Two IPA's one Kona lager, one Diet Coke, the ALTO, and fish taco totalled $52 (not including tax or tip).

Went on a Saturday and this place was PACKED! Stood close to the doorway looking for a table but wasn't looking good. Was approached by a server within less than a minute and offered the last two top outside, which turned out to be perfect.Ordered our drinks which came out quickly. Then we ordered out food which came out lightning fast. Burgers were delish! Fries were good. Drinks were great. I'd come back again for sure!

Actually, a very good place to have a burger and a beer. The ambience was alive and with a good vibe and plenty of room to either sit at the bar and have a drink or grab a table. We ate there on our way to a concert at the belly up. Tavern was perfect because it was walking distance. The staff was nice and friendly. The beers were called hamburgers were big and french fry portions were generous. Recommended for just a chill place to stop and have a bite.

I was surprised by how good the food was because it looks like a small little sports bar type restaurant. The chicken lettuce wraps were delicious and the chicken Caesar salad was one of the better ones I've had in awhile. Everything was very solid and the group that I ate with really enjoyed their food as well

This is a family favorite burger place. Perfect place to watch a game and eat good food. Everything here is so yummy. Our favorites are the chili, onion rings and the pastrami burger, but everything we've tried is 5/5. Can't go wrong.

Great burgers, pretty extensive menu, and very attentive bar staff! I travel for business and often eat at the bar/counter. Met A lot of interesting locals who frequent Chiefs, and willDefinitely visit again!
