This cozy coffee spot operates from a repurposed shipping container in a nice community park setting. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering suggestions from their menu rich in Mexican flavors. They're accommodating with customizations like alternative milks and syrups.I enjoyed the Vanilla Cold Foam Cold Brew with Olla flavoring, paired with a delicious Concha pastry. My daughter loved her Matcha Latte with almond milk and lavender syrup, along with a tasty Chocolate Chip Cookie. It's a convenient stop during a park visit or while out walking your dog. For those who appreciate supporting local mom-and-pop establishments, this place is truly a hidden gem.

I'm happy that there is a little specialty type of coffee place in the area because I would much rather support small and local. I love the concept of a cargo container in the middle of the neighborhood! I got an iced matcha latte with soy milk and vanilla, and my boyfriend got the iced latte with oat milk and a little bit of honey. We went twice and the drinks were consistent and pretty good. We've had better coffee and matcha elsewhere, but this place definitely has some quality to it. I would like to try their special drinks and pastries, as well! I understand that during the summer it is hot and there is no A/C (but I'm hoping they have a fan in there), but the workers that I have encountered have been pleasant. I definitely plan to keep visiting!

I love to promote unique coffee shops and put my coffee adventures on Instagram, so when I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and saw the unique barista art on top of a couple of the coffees, I excitedly grabbed my car keys and took the 40 minute drive to Casa De Otay.I parked my Jeep and hurriedly walked to the shop, ordered the Mexican Mocha and patiently waited with my camera ready to capture the coffee art to post. After a few minutes, my coffee was ready and I excitedly picked it up, only to look down and be disappointed at the absolute "nothing" that was on my coffee foam! Not a heart, not a leaf and definitely not a face or cute design...The coffee itself was good, but not enough to set it apart from other good coffee shops. The complicated art would have really made it top tier! The barista to took my order ( UCSD student) was really warm and welcoming, the one who made my coffee was not welcoming at all. She did not respond when I thanked her for my coffee...just looked at me.

Few parking spaces, but worth the trip. Situated in the middle of a community park, Casa de Otay is in a small blue shipping container. The staff is upbeat and welcoming. I selected the Mexican Mocha. Refreshing with a little bite to it. I also has the frosted cinnamon roll. Yum-mee! Ya gotta try this place! https://www.facebook.com/reel/1044551576595922?fs=e&mibextid=0NULKw&fs=e&s=TIeQ9V

Had the salted maple latte. Asked for it 1/4 sweet and it was delicious. The girls working this morning were very sweet, friendly and accommodating. Nice area to sit outside in the sun. Will be back!

Super cute little coffee spot! We were in the area so decided to stop here for coffee. Service was good and our drinks were made pretty quick. We tried the rose cardamom latte, vanilla latte, and Mexican mocha all made with oatmilk. Drinks were good but not sure I would go out of my way to come here. They do have a really nice outdoor seating area!

I had to shout out a new coffee shop on the east side of Chula Vista. Tucked away in the Millenia neighborhood in Otay Ranch is this cute coffee shop housed in a shipping container. They have a simple menu with coffees full of flavor and amazing art! Faves:Cafe De Olla - Sweet, creamy, and smooth. Pairs well with the vegan Empanada that I had. If you want spicy, try the Casa Latte, it has Cayenne pepper to give it some kick! Amazing area to walk around, and it's right next to the new Common Theory.

Super happy there's something else other than Starbucks in the area. Discovered this on yelp and had to try it out. I can definitely see myself coming back :)It's tucked away in the back of Millenia in a part that's still developing. It's not in a building, its like a blue container shed in a park area in Millenia. Its by the Common Theory and soon to be Sura BBQ. The area itself is really clean and cute. Parking will either be really good or tough. But as the area continues to develop and become more busy and full, I can see it starting to become a challenge. They have a small strip of parking but its shared with Common Theory and the soon to be Sura BBQ so that little strip of parking will be a challenge. There's street parking and other parking nearby but like I said, as the area grows it will be more challenging to park.Service itself was great. I like when I go to places, that I'm greeted with a smile. Staff was also friendly and very patient. They did great at explaining things on the menu for me and I like that I saw them hustling and working hard. The matcha latte was pretty dang good. I like that it wasn't overwhelming. Also, when I'd get Matcha at Starbucks it would leave a weird aftertaste, this one doesn't. It's a good Matcha and I would much rather get it here and support a local business. The cafe de olla was pretty good too. It was just the right amount of sweetness and warmth and it hit the spot just right.I 100% say you should come here. I'm all for supporting local businesses and this one definitely deserves your support. A bonus, outdoor seating and dog friendly! So its a great place for coffee either with a friend or a pup! go check it out

Casa De Otay is really cute and simple. I came on a Sunday morning and hung out at the outdoor patio. The baristas were really nice and gave good customer service. The only downside is that the drinks are a bit pricey especially if you want a non-dairy alternative.I tried an iced matcha oat milk latte with lavender sweetener and an iced de olla oat milk latte. Both drinks were delicious and not too sweet. I would come back again!

All I have to say is I'm so happy you guys decided to put your little coffee shop in the community . We've been needing a nice little local spot . The employees are super nice and always offer to do changes if need be . Always ready to modify They are always friendly as well I work near by and like to grab a drink here and there after work and I want to say the matcha lavender is my favorite , it's very subtle earthy flavor and lightly sweetened . If you're looking for a nice spot for coffee or matcha Try it ! Great seating to just sip and relax or walk with your fury friends Cafe de la olla vanilla latte and matcha all delicious but matcha is my favorite Oh yes and they also have pastries
