Cargo Cafe - Sorrento

Nice niche place. Nice touch on how there was granola the bottom. Coffee was okay too.

The first food I wanted in San Diego was Acai Bowl (I'm from the Bay Area), thinking there may be some better ones down here. On a Friday, they said they were out of acai. She made me a berry smoothie with almond butter on top as an alternative. And it turned out well! She blended all the real frozen fruits right onsite. It was not overly sweet and tasted fresh.So I went there again on Monday to try their Acai bowl cause I'm a diligent foodie, one Mucho acai bowl, and another bowl for my hubby. Everything was good - except that the acai puree they used was too sweet. Doesn't feel healthy anymore, which is why I took out one star. Or they can use less sweeter granola.

Says it opens at 7:30. Arrived at 8:15. Had to wait 20 minutes for employee to put the delivery away. Since he was the only employee.

Surprised that acai is actually half frozen. I just threw it away. Will not go back. Waste of time to drive there.

Very cool cafe hidden away in Sorrento Valley. I ordered their acai bowl and a flat white. The acai bowl wasn't bad, but I do wish they offered fresh fruits for toppings. The coffee was good and I appreciate how passionate the baristas were about coffee even giving me recommendations on what other cafes to check out. They close early so make sure to check their hours before you visit. If they add fresh toppings to their acai bowls, I can see myself coming back here more often.The overall vibe of this place was spectacular

I really like cargo cafe because it is always a great spot to get some coffee after lunch before going to work. Their cold brew coffee has pretty good flavor. Their espresso based drinks are also pretty well made. The staff that work there are always friendly. I will continue to find come here as long as I work in this area.

Decided to give this place a try after reading so many good reviews on Yelp. But was deeply disappointed at the quality of the coffee. I ordered a 12 oz latte with regular milk. The latte tasted extremely bland. I make espresso at home myself. So I could tell that this drink tasted like there's either only 1 espresso shot in there or a very poor 2 espresso shots. Plus there's way too much milk foam in there. A poor espresso shot with poorly frothed milk makes this drink the weakest latte I've ever had.The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is that the staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait to order.

They really know how to pull a shot. Really tasty espresso and their milk drinks are also on point. I went around 8am and there were only a few people waiting for drinks. I kinda like a low key place like this because it means the barista is taking their time to perfect a drink. As the name implies, their store front is a cargo crate. Really hard to miss it when it's a gigantic blue crate in a business plaza. The only downside is that it seems to be a bit out of the way from most other things.

Yummy drinks! Located in an business park, limited parking. Nice place to go on a weekday

Love the ambiance and the menu has so many good options that are healthy! Loved the PB dream and will be back for the salads
