Good service and a great viewI tried their Philadelphia roll and California roll, and both were disappointing. The rice was stale and didn't taste fresh, and their menu is very limited. I would still recommend this spot for a drink, though, since they have nice seating overlooking the ocean.

Cannonball is the coolest restaurant ever! It's right by the beach, so you can see the ocean while you eat. The food is super yummy. I had sushi, and it was really fresh and tasty. They also have this awesome "Cannonball Sundae" with ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. The people who work there are really nice. Our waiter was funny and helped us pick the best food. They even brought out a special birthday treat for me and sang happy birthday!The best part is the view. We sat outside on the deck, and we could see surfers and boats in the water. It was so cool, especially when the sun started to set.If you go to Cannonball, make sure to try the sushi and get a seat on the deck. It's the best place to eat and have fun with your family!

Wanted to leave 5 stars for the happy hour experience I had yesterday. We came at 2:30 on a Tuesday and saw there was a new menu introducing $2 oysters, $10 lychee martinis, and $9 sushi rolls. The view is gorgeous, we sat on the rooftop next to a window overlooking Mission Beach. The drinks were tasty, strong, and our server Chase was really nice and entertaining. The oysters were an amazing deal, presented gorgeously and were big portions for the $2 value. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend the happy hour. You can park next to Belmont Park for free.

Had this place bookmarked for almost two years and finally got a chance to try. Ambiance - cant beat the views by the water, especially during sunset. Bring a sweater or jacket, it will get a little chilly. I only saw a portion the restaurant where we were seated with high tables - for those with kids needing high chairs, they do have high chairs to accommodate for the high tables. Also, they have an elevator for those that need it. Service - we were about an hour early for our reservation but the host at the front said not to worry and they accommodated us within 15 minutes. I told her that its ok and we could wait for our rsvp time but they were able to get us in early. I appreciated the gesture even though they looked really busy (it was a friday night too!) The server that we had was great and very friendly. Made sure my little one had everything she needed as well. Food: realized we didnt order sushi! But we ordered about 6 appetizers and they were all delicious: Bakchoy: if you cannot handle spicy, ask for sauce on the side Mussels: forgot to ask about spice level, it was very spicy but also delicious, i just suffered but its ok lol Octopus: cooked perfectlyCrab dip: i would have liked to see more crab but still good Karaage: lived in japan for awhile and did not have karaage taste, but flavor was still good. This makes for a great hangout spot and looking at the rolls at other tables, they looked good. If we go again i will make an attempt to try those. There is also a big parking lot at belmont park (free).

Great food. There's a wait but you can grab drinks and hangout on the lanai which is so cozy and fun. Food was great and drinks were perfect. You get the best breeze and sunset views !!!!!

Great service and drinks. Amazing views of the ocean. Unfortunately we came after the new menu change and were less than impressed with it. The cannonball is a place we come to every year because of the variety and the view. It had seafood and it had a variety of other things now it is pretty much a Japanese seafood place. It wasn't bad but not what we were hoping for and craving from our previous visits.

Second time at this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Best sunsets in San Diego making it a great place to have dinner. There's literally not a bad table in the house. It's a busy place but service is great. Sushi is some of the best I've had on this continent. Really fresh and tasty. Even though this is in a super touristy area, it's a must visit. Cocktail menu is super creative and they have great mocktail options as well. The matcha creme brûlée for dessert is as incredible! I wish I had time to squeeze one more meal in here.

Amazingggggggg place! The view and food were great! Sushi was fresh and the servers were very accommodating. The prices were also very fair for its location.

THE LOBSTER ROLL WAS AMAZING!! we would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for our waitress interrupting our prayer before we ate. She interrupted and kept talking after realizing, no apology or acknowledgement. Ambiance was great loved the waves crashing in the background.
