Canada Steak Burger

I came here during my lunch break and got my gyro wrap. It was pretty good, but not very filling. Food here is always good, can't go wrong with anything. Since I had an hour lunch, I had to hurry back to work, but Canada Steak Burger is a good burger joint. Will deff be back.

Long time customer of Canada Steak Burger, both the location on University and L St in Chula Vista. I made a recent visit on L St. to pick up some dinner for myself and my family. Unfortunately when I got home, I realized that our order was made incorrectly. I called and spoke with Mgr. Tiff, and without any hesitation told me she would make up for the wrong order and the bad experience. She took my name and number and informed me that I could come back any day to pick up my items. If you are a customer of this business, you already know the food is great. My most recent experience with management speaks volumes of their customer service and their willingness to make things right for their customers. Thank you Tiff and thank you Lexi!!

CANADA NOT AS GOOD AS THE PASTWhen I wanted a quick burger with fat fries and drink, this used to be my go-to. I remember paying $6.99 back in those days.WHAT'S ON THE MENU?Canada's menu items include char-Broiled hamburgers, sandwiches, Greek combinations, steaks, salad and daily specials.I visited a year ago during lunch time rush and the burger was not enjoyable and I have not returned. Mainly because they're so many options to get delicious burgers.WHAT DID YOU EAT TODAY?Today I'm here for the appetizer, chicken strips and fries. I might be going on a limb here but I think the chicken strips are freshly breaded because of these reasons: nonuniformity of breading, perfectly crisp on the outside and moist on the inside and bland favor. Boy if these were seasoned well these would be perfect. Hey Canada, the season on the fries put that on the chicken.SHOULD I EAT HERE OR GO TO A RESTAURANT?Also noted, give or take a few bucks you can eat at a higher quality restaurant instead of a quick bite eatery. It's been a while since my last visit, and I've always had positive experiences until today. If I could give a one-star rating, I certainly would. However, the one star is solely justified by the satisfaction my husband found in the chicken kabob plate he ordered - he had no complaints about that.On the flip side, the disappointment came with the two gyro sandwiches and the two orders of onion rings we received. Despite ordering both gyros with grilled onions and tomatoes, they turned out excessively greasy, causing the pita to disintegrate when trying to eat them. The onion rings, priced a little less then $7 per order, yielded only about four rings, and they seemed more like a haphazardly assembled mound of fried something hastily tossed into a paper bag.Furthermore, for those expecting ranch dressing, caution is advised. What was served was a mere pinch of ranch mixed with an unappetizing mayo concoction.

I like Canada Steak Burger a LOT primarily because this is one of the few places that sells Gyro burgers. They're extremely challenging to find outside of Chicago, especially one that's done well. Canada Steakburger does a great job. I've gotten both the single and the double gyro burger and both were cooked to perfection. The seasoning salt on the fries is additionally a nice addition and you get a good portion for your dollar.I additionally appreciate that despite that I ordered off of Uber eats, my meal still came hot. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because on another occasion i reared a gyro i stead of the Gyro burger. The image on Uber eats has fries in it so i was extremely confused when I received my order and there were no fries. On a separate occasion i ordered my fries separately but in comparison to the price of combos i feel like this cost far more than it should have. Still. I do highly recommend Canada Steak Burger and I will be back.

Best burger Hands down ! Been going to there location on University for over 20 years,now they have a second location here in Chula Vista ! And there both family owned . Try them both,you won't be disappointed.

We have been enjoying Canada Steak Burger for the last 20 years. Unfortunately today the food and presentation look totally different. My Greek salad was sloppy with the vegetables barely being chopped up. Lettuce is watery. The gyros have a different taste and were carelessly smooshed atop the salad. My husband ordered onion rings and his gyros were smooshed atop his onion rings. Not sure if there was a change in management or cooks but it is not as good as in the past. Most likely will not be going back! :(Portions are still big but it doesn't matter if the taste is lacking.

Found out about this place bc of a friend. Walked in and saw plates being carried that were abundant in portions LOL. Everything I saw looked good. My friend recommended the burger and kabob plate, but did I listen? Lol no bc for some reason I was in the mood for fish and chips. I ordered the dinner plate that included 3 pieces, Greek salad, garlic bread and fries. Tartar sauce of course. The fish itself did not taste like anything and relied on the tartar sauce. The sauce was okay and tasted more like dill (saying this in case you are not a dill fan). The burger and kabob were good! Service was great as the cashier was super nice and helpful with all my questions. Definitely coming back for the burger and kabob.

My fiancé & I have always loved coming here today we decided to place an order to go for our usual Philly cheesesteak meals with fries and drink and we were so disappointed with the portion this time around as seen in the picture that's all the meat they put on both half's of our subs like WHAT ? Way more lettuce and mayo than meat mind you we paid $40+ for both our meals :( service was good other than that I doubt we will be returning.
