In my endless search for my next breakfast burrito I stumbled upon this spot. A reasonably priced breakfast burrito? Say less. I don't think I'll leave San Diego without grabbing one to go.Bacon, Eggs, Cheese & Potatoes - I was impressed with the generous portion of bacon in this thing. Sausage, Eggs, Cheese & Potatoes - I love it when a place puts full links in a jawn instead of cutting them up small. Ratios of eggs, cheese and potatoes were on point, as was the construction-- everything was mixed equally throughout so I wasn't randomly getting a mouth full of egg. The most impressive thing has to be the price. $9 for a burrito this size, and this filling is unheard of in my neck of the woods. The green salsa is very good, so much so that I wish I had a bottle of it at home.

California Burritos is a small shop next to a gas station with minimal seating. Very unassuming! They have a vast menu, but of course I had to get what they're known for. They were quick getting my burrito out which is a plus!Burrito:California Burrito: this was probably one of the worst burritos I've ever had. It was more reminiscent of a breakfast burrito in terms of how soggy the fries were. The carne asada was not great, kind of similar to cumin ground beef in taste. The salsas were also very watery, not a lot of depth. I've had much better California burritos else where. I will say the tortilla was well done, flakey and grilled!I'm sure their breakfast burritos are great, but the California burrito is not ideal.

The tacos from here put tacos in NorCal to shame. I got 3 chicken tacos and they were SO big, they're the size of my hand!The chicken was chunky and edges were nice and crispy and the middle was soft and tender. The salsa was fresh, and the red and green sauces on the side was spicy and delicious!I was full from just eating one. Horchata was nice and mild, not too sweet and not heavy. It was perfect to go with the tacos. They took our order even though it was near closing time and food was ready as soon as we arrived. Service A+Flan - I do not recommend. I was hoping for homemade flan but it is one of those little pre-made ones. My Mexican husband can't stop raving about the food. Yum! I would definitely come back here when I crave Mexican food.

As soon we touched down in SD, we were starving. I really wanted carne asada fries so we decided to come here and we ended up getting the fries and chicken burrito. It was so good. The portions were HUGEEEEEE! I only ate 1/5th of the fries and I was so full. They didn't skimp on anything, they layered the cheese throughout. My hubs said the burrito was really good too and it was so big that he couldn't finish it. Our total was around $25. The whole process from ordering to picking up was maybe 15 min. I would have given 5 stars but we couldn't preorder because their phones weren't working; therefore, 4 stars. But would I recommend? 100%. This might be our go-to spot every time we come to SD.

Yum! Was in the mood for breakfast burrito and was on my way home from the airport when I saw that Yelp put this place as number one for burritos in the area. I see why it's number one. My daughter and I both had breakfast burritos, egg, bacon, cheese, and potato. It was delicious. The Horchata tasted like it was made from scratch. I love that the bottles of salsa were clean and refrigerated. Those working there were friendly and the place was clean. The only thing I would change is that the parking lot needs to be redone as there are big pot holes in different parking spots (not their fault but giving a heads up). When I'm in the area, I will definitely go back.

DELICIOUS!!!! We really enjoyed the Chimichanga (shredded chicken)-the plus for my husband is that there aren't any veggies in the meat! The bean and rice burrito was also very flavorful-the tortillas are REALLY GOOD. The only downside is that they don't make their own horchata, which I realize is rare.Great service, though, and amazing food. This place isn't "fancy," but it sure is good!

One of our favorite local burrito spots. The service is very friendly and usually very fast! It is a small restaurant and a few tables outside to sit at, but I usually order to-go. I love to get the mini burritos when I order breakfast burritos for a large group- the chorizo is delicious! I also enjoy their California burrito and chile relleno burrito.

I normally don't like to do reviews but there are not too many taco shops that disappoint me. The first time I went there it was toward closing time I got rolled tacos the order was not hot enough for me but I gave them a pass because again it was toward closing time. The second visit I tried rolled tacos and again they just didn't seem hot enough. The third time I decided to switch it up and I got a shredded beef burrito and again it wasn't hot enough the cheese was not even melted the meat was not seasoned well onions and peppers were not cooked fully I had to put it in the microwave for the cheese to melt and for those reason I won't be going back.
