Cali Boy's Deli

Best wrap in San Diego. Man, I love Yelp. I never would have found this place without it. Fresh. Delicious. I had the torpedo wrap. My wife had a wrap that included avocado (sorry did not ask her which one). So fresh and filling!!For bourbon lovers, as long as you do not mind MSRP, their bourbon collection is amazing! They had 2 Parker's Heritage bottles that I could not pull the trigger on buying. Just too rich in price for my blood...but found in the wild!

The sandwiches are packed with delicious deli meat and the portions are great. The service is quick and it's kind of fun for this place to be in a liquor store so you can pick up something else to snack on or drink. I wouldn't say the ambiance is very appealing given said liquor store and I've never stayed there to eat. They have some chairs outside if you want to sit down but I mostly have gotten the sandwiches to go which has been nice. I give one point off because while the sandwiches are delicious I have yet to find a 5 star sandwich spot in San Diego. I'll know it whenever I do.

TL;DR: better than the average deli with decent portion sizeOrdered:Big Boy Club on Onion Roll - I love onions and even I was like "wow the onion roll is SUUUUPER onion-y". Really smacks you in the face when you unwrap the sando. The deli meats were alright and the overall sandwich was good, not greatPicking Cali Boy's over the chain sando spots is an easy decision so I'll be back if I'm in the area and craving a subCheers, Cali Boy!

Wow! I love sandwiches and I LOVED this one, so tasty! It was packed with meats and very filling, enough for two to share or one very hungry individual (like myself). The service was speedy and was greeted by warm staff. Located inside a liquor store, you almost miss it. My only minor complaint is for there to be more Italian dressing in the sandwich, next time I will ask for a side! 5/5 will return!

Among the best sandwich delis. I take this place for granted and I've been going here a long time. It is consistent quality.The deli counter is connected to, or inside of MG Liquors. Call ahead because sometimes there is a substantial wait due to popularity with local businesses and residents. Order at the counter and wait outside at a table. Mostly to-go orders from the deli counter.I get the Cali Club on sourdough or pastrami on rye. All the sandwiches are delicious and well made, they stay together and don't fall apart in your hands. It's a small place in an odd location but delivers big time with their sandwiches.

Their sandwiches cold and hot are so delicious packed with meat and veggies on toasted bread.

Great Sandwich! I lived by here for five years and never went for some reason. I had to fix that mistake today and nan was it worth it. Such a solid good Italian sandwich.

First time trying cali boy's and it was soooo good. As soon as I walked in, they were slammed with orders. They let me know it would be a 15-20min wait and the time flew by! I ordered the club sandwich on sourdough toasted with well done bacon (you gotta go with well done bacon). I subbed mayo for mustard and got oil/vinegar and let me tell you... this sandwich was amazing. The order came with pickles and banana peppers that were a perfect touch. Price point was good and service was great! I will definitely be coming back when I'm on a lunch break

My absolute favorite place to get a sandwich from! I come in every week and order the Chicken Chipotle Melt and it is to die for! The service is great and the wait time is always accurate. Make sure you get honey mustard on the side with the chicken chipotle melt.

10/10!This place does not disappoint. Such a random location but happy to have found it!The employees were super nice and let us know it would be about a 35 min wait (now I know why). They take their time, there's a long line of people waiting, and they don't make just a "sandwich". They make a SANDWICH. I got the veggie supreme and it was like layer on top of layer of veggies, cheese, and sauces. They truly pile it and take their time laying down those layers. Go during an "off time" if you don't want want to wait too long or call ahead to place an order.
