This place is cute! Homely and a bit old fashioned? I'm getting 90's central perk vibes. Definitely a local favorite. I love how BIG their menu is, and their variety of food options - breakfast AND lunch. The service was super friendly even with a long line. They have a self service drip coffee for around $2.50 if you have the cash, which I thought was so fun! I did try to get chicken on my salad and somehow it didn't make it onto my receipt so I didn't say anything but if you are ordering a lot with a group just double check before paying for make sure it's all there. I was feeling sugary so I got a pumpkin spice blended drink, it was very sweet, and hit the spot on a summer day. Nothing crazy. Will definitely have to try the actual espresso next time though.

You can tell this is a real neighborhood spot. We came on a Sunday around 10am and it was packed, even with a large indoor space. They also have a few tables outside. Their menu is quite extensive with coffee and tea options, breakfast/lunch food and pastries.I got their standard brewed coffee and my partner got the iced morning maple latte with almond milk. The maple latte comes with maple, vanilla and cinnamon. The coffee was pretty good for a drip coffee. The maple latte was fine, but didn't really taste like maple or cinnamon. Mostly just sweet. Also at a price point of $7.25 for their regular size it felt pretty expensive.Overall, its a decent option if you want a large variety, but maybe not the most unique/specialized items.Service was very friendly and quick. Lots of parking since it's located in a strip mall.

It is very nice to find an independent coffee shop with a large, inviting interior and excellent service. One of my sisters lives nearby, and we went to power up for a trip to La Jolla. Along the way, she mentioned their lavender matcha latte, so I had a plan before walking in. Mine was customized with oat milk and hot while she got an iced version with regular milk. My other sister tried a gluten-free muffin and really enjoyed it. Basically, it took the edge off her changing time zones and flying until we scored lunch. All-in-all, if I lived nearby, I'd totally hang out in the pleasant atmosphere to read and write. However, on my next trip to visit the family, I'll swing through for sure.

My new weekend coffee spot! I'm always on the hunt for great coffee. I also realized that we like what we like, and the beans make all the difference. BC roasts their beans and, to my taste, are delicious. We also got a proper espresso macchiato, and they made it correctly. For my daughter, a Vietnamese coffee, which I tasted, and it was perfect. The food is delicious. We tried the salmon bagel and flatbread. Both were delicious, and the flatbreativjt edged out today because it had nice crispy edges. The location is an older, smaller shopping center, which I like, and I like that they have outdoor seating for the dogs--nothing like a great sunny spot on a Saturday. We also just found out they have music sometimes Sat @ 3:00, and how fantastic to sit and listen to a bit of jazz. I'll take Inside photos next because it's excellent, and has great photography hanging. Lastly, we've been here twice and everyone working here is really nice.

I came here for the first time a few days ago and had a nice experience. The shop has outdoor seating and indoor seating. There is a good amount of tables indoors, and I couldn't help but notice how large and long the two person table was, I felt far away from my friend. It was a Sunday mid morning and the shop had a good amount of people, including families with young children. The staff member who took my order was nice as was the rest of the staff that I interacted with. I ordered the raspberry latte and it was ok. I had to go back to the barista and ask for more syrup because I didn't think it was sweet enough. The barista kindly added more syrup. I would come back.

Cute little coffee shop near where I just moved. It's a fairly large coffee shop. Seems really popular as there was a bunch of people. The selection of pastries and other breakfast items was good. Lots to choose from. I ordered the stuffed croissant with bacon and jalapenos. They come with a side salad. I wasn't too fond of it. I don't know if I would try that food item about but maybe something different. The coffee was delicious . The baristas there were really fast. I enjoyed my coffee. Decently priced. Would probably go again.

This location remains a go to for me.A group of us meet here every week. The staff is always friendly and accommodating of our group, which includes some seniors who can be hard of hearing. So when we ask to have the music turned down, they don't even question it. And they graciously reserve a table for us.It's the kind of place I always recommend when people want to meet, especially for the first time. It's spacious and not so loud that we can't carry a conversation. I've become addicted to the caramel mocha latte. And they have some really great bakery items. The paradise bar is my favorite, and the groups! I've had a few items from their menu, which are OK but I wouldn't say that's an area they excel in. Definitely fits the bill for meeting with a friend, doing work/studying, or coffee with an associate. I'm not sure I'd say it's a destination for breakfast or lunch. Also you can sign up on the clover app to get points for rewards! Nicer, a little pricier, and with more variety than Starbucks it's one to keep on the list!

We were destined to come here! I love coffee and enjoy trying out new things instead of the typical . The menu options for beverages from coffees to teas is so big it's hard to pick one. The barista suggested I get the Viennese and OMG! It was so delicious. Each sip got me closer to heaven. I paired it with an açaí bowl that was equally delicious and very filling. The cafe is actually very spacious, with a stage, I though... karaoke? WRONG! We got a comedy show! Super awesome! It was great time with lots of giggles and hilarious dad jokes. I loved it. One thing that is definitely to appreciate is that they use real dishes for your food so way less waste going into the environment. They also have organic options which is definitely a plus! As well as dairy free options for your drinks. Totally recommend, even if you don't get a show, it's totally worth coming here, the ambiance is pretty good and the baristas are very nice too! Also, it's not in the heart of La Mesa which makes it better in the sense that there's plenty of parking available making it more accessible as well. I give this an A+

First time visiting this location and I have found my new local go to spot. The atmosphere is really inviting and lots of seating. I got the iced vanilla americano, which is just like better buzz's "best drink ever". Had the chocolate croissant which was yummy. Looking forward to coming back and trying out their items
