I grabbed a coffee to keep me alert for my full day of shopping. First time being here and it was a small place but the line was long! It moved quickly, don't worry. Let me tell you, this place is soooo delicious! You can taste the beans and it was rich!

I had my first-ever Better Buzz experience at the Fashion Valley location today and I am extremely disappointed by the lack of customer service. Seeing the long line, I opted to place an order on the mobile app that would be ready at 4:17 pm. Oddly enough, a few minutes after 4:17, I noticed the app stated the order was successfully delivered even though I didn't hear my name being called and didn't see it on the mobile order shelf. After asking the barista, she looked at the unmade cups to finally realize that they had not been made. She told me it would be an additional 5 minutes, which I accepted but requested to change it from a light iced matcha tea latte to an iced chai latte. I asked her if there would be any price difference but was rudely ignored so I had to confirm it myself on the app. After waiting for an additional 10 minutes, roughly 20 minutes pasted the promised delivery time, I went up to a different team member to check on the status. He then looked at the shelf and said my order had been here waiting for me which made no sense because I did not hear my name being called, his response was, "We don't announce mobile orders." I realize that can make sense because the individual might not have been there at the time the order was ready but it was obvious that I was, so it begs me to wonder why wasn't my name announced or delivered directly to me knowing I am already having a less than ideal experience.As a former San Diego resident who is now an out of state resident, I'm extremely disappointed by the lack of ability to realize when there is a need to customize the customer experience due to already failing to meet the mark.

Love this little location at Fashion Valley and have to stop by when shopping here. Especially if I'm with the girls because I need that extra espresso boost! Love the friendly and funny staff here. It usually has a long line so I just do a mobile order and come by and swoop it up!

I love love this location! I get most of my retail therapy @ Fashion Valley. I do (_) Enjoy the coconut Frappuccino. The behind counter crew is always fast & efficient. For a smaller venue then the Hillcrest one they move fast with a smile. The only draw back is that they do not have hot savory food.

We stopped at Better Buzz coffee to boast our energy since we had to go around every single corner in Fashion Valley Mall.There are a lot of construction in the Mall in general, but also close to Better Buzz coffee We ordered:-Caramel ice coffee 2.5/5The drink was very sweet, I tasted the caramel but I didn't feel the taste of coffee at all. -Ube cookie 5/5Was chewy and very tasty -Raspberry Almond scone. 5/5- Blueberry Scone 5/5The scones are one of the BEST!Although it's a coffee shop, but their bakery is much better than their coffeeThe employees were very nice and the service was fast.4 stars: because the bakery is outstanding and the coffee needs improvement.

Decided to try again since the Mission Valley location is amazing and wanted to send my husband coffee, seriously people DO NOT go to this location, I paid $10 for coffee because I added a shot and look at what I got literally only filled halfway! SAFETY WARNING: if you have any allergies DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF. I confirmed with multiple people 4 or 5 times that there was no coconut or cross contamination in a drink I ordered. I even apologized for being "annoying" with my repeated question and explained that I'm allergic and it would be terrible for me if it did have coconut so I wanted to check. After a few sips I came back, and I said I was experiencing allergy symptoms. I asked once again if there was coconut and was told absolutely not. I insisted on seeing an ingredient list so I could know if I needed a doctor and lo and behold- there was coconut. I had to then ask for a refund (which was not offered but they did give me one after I requested it)- but a refund is really not enough for what is tantamount to poisoning me. I understand that mistakes happen but a food establishment should be way more on top of whether or not their food puts lives in danger. I mentioned this to my friend and she said she experienced the same thing at the La Jolla better buzz location. As a loyal and repeat customer of better buzz for years, I am incredibly disappointed - and honestly afraid to go back.
