Sam's Morning Glory Diner

Great classic shiny diner with an additional tent for more seating. I am such a sucker for a diner. I wish I had taken more pictures because this one is extra cute with the morning glory decor. I sat at the bar in the main building.Breakfast is a little more creative and upscale than your usual diner. I had a delicious eggs Benedict with challah, prosciutto and spinach! The home fries were delish. And they make their own homemade ketchup.Right now they are all in on the election. If a life size dummy of Trump in a convict jumpsuit and some specials named after news events offend you, then it is best you clutch your pearls and move on. But the food is delish... So better to have to a sense of humor and let people have their opinions.Both waiters were also very good. The only downside was it was a bit warm in the diner, but it was over 90 degrees outside.

Bland food in a cool setting. That's pretty much it. The "lemonade with ginger" was a powder lemonade with the faintest bit of ginger after taste. To add insult to injury it's $4 l. The tofu scramble had a bit of curry but no salt and was pretty bland. It was marginally improved with the hot sauce. The raspberry compote wasn't redeeming. The biscuits were more cornbread than biscuits and crumbled rather than pulled apart; further challenged by the fact that they were served room temp and not warm. The pancakes tasted...healthy? Which isn't really what you're going for when you order pancakes. The servers were mostly lovely and it's a cool setting but overall this is a miss.

I took myself to Morning Glory Diner for breakfast a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it for a few reasons. For a Wednesday morning, it was more crowded than I expected, but I still got a table for one outside without waiting. Service was incredibly fast. My waiter was adorable, courteous, and handsome. There's something comforting about this place. I think it's the people. I felt welcomed and taken care of in a way I can't quite explain. The food was great. I got what I always get - two eggs over easy with bacon and whole wheat toast. The bacon was thick cut and crispy, just how it should be. I ordered two ginger lemonades -- was very impressed with the balance of ginger and lemon. They're cash only and have an ATM. Unfortunately I misplaced my debit card and didn't have enough cash to cover my bill. They said "no problem, you can just Venmo us." And that was it - they stole my heart. I then went on to have one of the best days of my life. I'm not saying it was because of Morning Glory Diner, but I'm not NOT saying it was because of Morning Glory Diner. Ya know?

The morning glory diner never disappoints! The service was great and the food was delicious! My friend and I shared challah bread French toast and corned beef hash with biscuits! The homemade jam was excellent. The vibe is laid back and cozy. If you go on the weekends prepare to have a wait, but it's worth it!!

Good food and coffee, cash only establishment, but I could do without the political stuff especially seeing Trump doll when I try to have brunch made me sort of losing my appetite.

Generous portions of a variety of not too common breakfast meals. Everything made in-house from scratch including the biscuits. Fast, friendly service with a hometown, local atmosphere.

If you're looking for a perfect hangover big breakfast this is the place to go ! The breakfast sandwich on focaccia was also so unique and i really enjoyed it! It's pretty tight in there but i appreciate the hustle!

Came here with some friends while visiting Philadelphia recently. When we first walked up the line was HUGE with multiple parties lined up outside of the restaurant. I wasn't sure we'd get in before we were due at our next destination but decided to just try and see what happened! The staff there were extremely accommodating and got everyone inside fairly quickly. They also made sure we were able to get our orders in fast so that we could make it out on time. I ended up ordering the French toast with mango and banana and it was soooooo good, not too sweet. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy local experience and have a little bit of time to kill.

Big portions of food! Good classic diner vibes. They don't accept reservations but not a long waiting list.Highly recommended! Our server was great!

Got the sausage gravy which was amazing. The portions are large, service is great, and altogether a great Philly spot.
