Saltgrass Steak House

Ok I know some might be snoots when it comes to a good steak and think you have to go to a fancy place that has steaks that cost an arm and a leg and smaller in size however that is not true. I've gone to plenty of steak restaurants and it's all about knowing the right meat and how they grill it which is why I enjoy Saltgrass (and their steak prices are high too). My best friend and I stopped by for dinner and sat at the bar. I ordered the old-fashioned made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, but I made sure to ask the bartender if she makes a good one, which she said yes----well she was right! The old-fashioned had the right amount of bitters and the taste of the bourbon was on point. My ribeye was cooked to perfection, medium rare, soft and tender with every cut and bite. My best friend's Porterhouse I'm assuming was delicious because only the bone was left lol. The bill for just us two with the steaks and 3 alcoholic drinks was $ $130 before tipping.

Great Price Point for a Steak Dinner! We were traveling all day long and needed to stop somewhere for a sit down dinner. Now that is my very second night in Houston so we still had yet to explore some of the restaurants in the area. We were craving steak so what better place than Saltgrass Steak house right? Unfortunately for us, we waited a while because the place was booked so I highly recommend online reservations to get in. Once we got to the table, our server immediately got us situated and went over the menu. So I know that price point may sound a little high BUT when your steak option includes either soup or salad and a side, well.... price point falls into place and makes sense. The venue also offers a beverage menu with some signature drinks and wine. Perfect for any occasion. We started with a shrimp cocktail first. Wow loved it ! This was the first time, i had one with lettuce but the crunch added texture to it and I absolutely loved the amount of horseradish! For dinner I had the T-bone steak with a salad and baked potato. Everything was perfect, my steak was the perfect cut and cooked on point! This particular place was booming and our waiter did a fabulous job in being attentive with us and everyone around him. We were so full in the end however I opted out for dessert. We will be back on our next crave for steak !

Frank was an awesome server. Very friendly, attentive, courteous, and just great! We ordered the Fried mushrooms. So delicious and fresh and hot! We enjoyed everything we ordered from the ribs, steak, and chicken friend steak. Being a Landrys Select memember has its perks. Got to use my $25 reward too!

Everything is amazing, steaks, fried mushrooms, grilled chicken, beer bread, baked potatoes, tortilla soup, beef tips with gravy, and cheesecake is better than the Cheesecake Factory!!

Very good steakhouse. Part of the Landry's chain. I try to avoid chains for the most part, it I've had good luck at this oneStopped in for dinner and was seated quickly. Place was about half fullOrdered the NY strip with green beans. Had a salad as well. Salad was typical but fresh and good. Steak was cooked to order and very tasty. Green beans were cooked perfectly, can't tell you how disappointed I get when my veggies are a mushy messService was friendly and efficient. Definitely one of my go to places if I just want a chain meal

They need to do away with curbside service. It has been TERRIBLE three times in a row. Do yourself a favor and go to another location or take the time to drive to Morton's Grille in the Woodlands if you want way better service. And the curbside server had the nerve to tell me she's busy. Please.

The service is pretty much always nice. The ambiance is better than the food. The sweet potato fries were good, Caesar salad is always super tasty. I think the sides and apps are always good. However, whether it be the quality or the cook of the steak, the steaks always leave us disappointed.

Rarely do I eat red meat or crave a steak, but my recent trip to Saltgrass Steak House may have changed all of that for me! My partner and I decided to stop by Saltgrass on the way home from running some errands, and, boy, am I glad we did.The restaurant was pretty busy for a Monday night, but we were seated right away. It only took a few moments before our waiter introduced himself and took our drink order. The service was spectacular all night - very responsive and speedy.The ambiance was very inviting and fitting for a Texas steakhouse with big game covering the walls and country music playing overhead.Our steaks were cooked to perfection! My picky partner admitted that Saltgrass had cooked his rare steak just right. Great cuts of meat prepared perfectly and paired with delicious sides. The presentation of my baked potato was a little lacking, but I did ask for everything on the side. The brussel sprouts were an unexpected favorite of the evening - sweet and cooked to a soft yet supple texture.From the bread to the last bite, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Saltgrass Steak House!

Ate Mothers Day dinner tonight. Very disappointing. Steaks not cooked correctly. Mac & Cheese served Luke warm.Steaks didn't seem to be 6oz.

WATCH OUT FOR SERVERS STEALING MONEYso I rarely go out and eat and, the one time I do I decide to pay with cash (which is rare living in 2024) but I had a 106 tab and wanted to pay with 100$ and be generous on the tab for tip not only did he have slow service and forgot about our appetizer but he took my 100 and acted like i never gave it to him (specially said I didn't and I talked to the manager and he lied) so it came out to 200+ with A TIP ON TOP OF THAT so when you order just know you're ordering with a liar and thief
