Sakura Sushi Bar

We've been here several times and it's usually good, but this time we were disappointed. We had the mushroom miso soup, which was good. We also tried the Neptune salad, which we thought was a salad with seafood, but it was a "stack" of mixed seafood, tasty but a bit dry. The problem came with the spicy tuna roll, which was prepared "inside/out." I don't like these types of rolls, so as soon as the server brought it, I explained that it wasn't what I expected. She asked someone if they could re-do it, and they said "no" because the menu describes it as such. I asked to see the menu again and noticed that next to the name, it had an "S/O." I obviously had not noticed that and wouldn't have known what it meant. She said it stood for "seaweed out." They didn't return my roll. So my husband ate it, and I settled for his. Conclusion: we both ate something we didn't want, we both had a negative experience, I gave the restaurant a bad review, and we probably won't return. WAS THAT REALLY WORTH IT FOR A SAVINGS OF ABOUT $5??? Had they just returned it, we would have praised their excellent customer service, and they would've had two happy, loyal customers who would return frequently. Very bad customer service.

As my local sushi place, they check all the boxes. The sushi is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is always friendly. The menu is extensive with dining options for those non-sushi eaters. The Japanese and Korean food is on point and fills your appetite. I strongly recommend coming before 8pm as the restaurant tends to fill up on Friday nights.

$2 for a side of spicy mayo, and the waitress did not even advice us of this before bringing it over. I think spicy mayo is cheaper at Makoto or Nobu !!!! This is not what you expect from a local sushi spot. The rolls are good, and the service is very slow. Be prepared for your overall meal service to take a while. I honestly don't know how $2 spicy mayo can be justified ‍‍‍

Sakura is a great option when looking for a Japanese restaurant. The menu has lots of options for everyone. Nigiri, specialty rolls, regular rolls and even noodles and ramen.Everything was super fresh and portions are big. Also they have Like half portions so you can try more things in one seating. We had the gym roll which was very tasty, a riceless roll which was very good and of course a lot of Nigiri. Also wanted to try the octopus sunomono to start and again... it was fresh and perfect. If I had to say a bad thing it would be that some of the octopus pieces were to big. (Not exactly a bad thing) but difficult to eat.Service was impeccable, our waiter Gabo was attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here!

I mean .....try ....just try. I haven't made a post in a decade. I worked a decade in restaurants and this place is the epitome of not giving a shit.

Tried this place for the first time. Loved the food and the ambiance, and would give 5 stars on that alone. But for me, what truly made for a great experience was our server. Particularly today, it is near impossible to find even decent service. Our server, Elizabeth, had such a great, positive, and genuine attitude that I have not seen in quite some time. Would definately go back.

Could not have had a better experience at this restaurant, we had the hand rolls, traditional rolls, spicy edamame, and for dessert the fried oreos and Thai donuts. The food was delicious and fresh and our waiter (unfortunately did not get his name) was extremely attentive and recommended us things to eat.

Horrible Service. We waited for over an hour and a half for our food That never came. Had to cancel our food Because of how long it was taking. And staff was arrogant. They lied stating food was done but they had us waiting another 10 min. We decided to just pay our drinks and leave. Do not recommend
