Sakura Hibachi & Sushi Restaurant

First time here tonight. It's right across the Norristown Walmart in the same strip mall with Orange Theory. It's actually nicer than we expected, very neat small restaurant that seems to be operated by husband and wife. I had teriyaki chicken poke bowl while my husband had chicken katsu. Both dishes tasted great and are of decent portion. The interior, though small, is tastefully decorated; the layout is efficient so the seating is actually not super tight. The female owner alone took care of the whole front, waiting all the tables while dealing with takeout orders. She's very good at what she does and is very friendly. My only reservation is the canned soda price--$2.5/can seems pretty high.

I've been a regular for years, my go to sushi spot! The quality is always great, fish is always fresh. I have done both take out and dine in and food usually comes out in a timely manner and workers are courteous. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and great for the quantity. I came recently to celebrate a birthday, and we were given free appetizers and dessert. The only con is that prices have been increasing pretty rapidly in recent times I'm not sure I can justify paying for the dinner prices unless it's for a special occasion now.

We went to celebrate my niece's birthday here. It was lovely inside and the food was very very good.We enjoyed the service and the restaurant was lovely.

Great sushi and great ambiance. I really enjoyed the spicy crab rolls and the fried rice. My fiancé enjoyed his vegetarian rolls. Fast and friendly service. Will definitely come back if we're in the area.

Glad to be able to dine in again here! This place was super busy and it actually took longer than we thought to get our dinner ready... ( they took lots of takeout orders.)Food was good as usual. My husband order the sushi sashimi combo and the fish was super fresh and in large pieces. I had the thai chicken dish with brown rice substituted. All are very good.The staff were nice and still remembered us.

Great sushi! I've dined in multiple times pre-pandemic and ordered takeout during. My order has always been ready in a timely manner and beautifully prepared. Generous portions, good quality fish, and reasonable prices. Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed Sakura tonight. My daughter was so enthusiastic about this restaurant and I enjoyed the food. I got the sweet potato roll and the California roll. We shared the chicken fried rice. The service was fast and pleasant. Our check was around 28$ and the most expensive item was the chicken fried rice around 10$. It was delicious. We ordered the less expensive rolls in the 5-7$ range.I hope to come back again soon. I liked the atmosphere and I believe a nearby table had brought wine. So it may possibly be a byob.The restaurant is beautiful and clean. It has a welcoming vibe, with tasteful art and lights as well as sleek furniture. The restroom was clean too.

I've dined at Sakura once and really enjoyed it. It's a small BYOB sushi place located in a shopping center right on Trooper Rd. We ordered take out from there last Friday. I placed my order at 1p for 5:30pm pick up. It was their first week reopened. My only complaint was there pick up area is tiny, only allowing for one person to go in at one time. So you have to wait outside and they didn't seem very organized. But I'm sure they are working out those kinks and the phone was ringing off the hook the 5 minutes I was standing inside. My food was packaged well and the order was accurate. We ordered 5 rolls and the Fantasy Roll was my favorite. So good, I could have had another. We also ordered spicy tuna, spicy scallop, shrimp tempura, and spider roll. Sushi was fantastic and will definitely be ordering again very soon.

Seriously, amazing sushi. The best I've had outside of Japan. Service is great, they can handle dietary restrictions or requests no problem. Notably it has a great vegetarian sushi roll (Buddha roll) for my grandmother who can't eat raw fish. It can get loud and crowded at peak hours so we often do takeout, but a crowded restaurant is a sure sign of good food, right? I try to eat at Sakura every time I am in the area. Every. Time.
