Sabor Latin Street Grill

Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Small location not many tables but not super busy when we visited for a late lunch. Also maybe they have a lot of to go orders? Ordered arepa (chicken), empanadas (chicken, beef chorizo and barbacoa), Gordita (al pastor) and plantains.Everything was made to order, hot and fresh and tasted great. Good flavor. The plantains were awesome thick cut and sweet..Highly recommend this place and when I am back in NC I'll return for sure.Staff/service was fast and friendly

We were in town visiting some family and needed a good casual spot for lunch. I got the Thursday special, which is an empanada and an arepa. I also got a Mojito as my drink. Everything was great, especially the Empanada. Additionally, the portions are pretty large, so this was plenty for me to eat for lunch. The employees were also kind and helpful as we ordered.

I liked the energy of the restaurant worker who greeted us! Very welcoming. They gave me half an avocado on my sabor salad, which I wasn't expecting and loved! Their salsa seems good, the salad dressing reminded me of Alpaca's cilantro dressing. Quite delicious, tho a little pricey!

My husband and I went to Sabor for the first time and will definitely be back. The service was GREAT. We went on a busy Friday night; they acknowledged they were busy and gave us free chips for our wait. All staff were above and beyond friendly and helpful. The quesaburra was DELICIOUS. I don't see it listed on the menu online, but they were available on the menu at the south Durham location, and we would return for these alone. The chips were good and the array of salsas available were very good. I ordered a classic margarita; at $7 it was a good price, but also definitely not the best (read: strongest or most flavorful) margarita I've ever had. The carne asada fries tasted so good, but I did wish the portion size was a little bigger. The toppings were good, but I thought there should have been more fries underneath. Flavors were spot on. We will be back for sure!

Sabor is a decent option in the area for a quick and healthy bite. I really liked the flavor of my cuban bowl, but I felt the chicken was slightly over cooked and under seasoned (and this is coming from someone who likes low-sodium food). The carne asada fries needed a bit more toppings and the fries were a bit soggy/barely had any crisp. The taste was still decent. The churros was crunchy and had a nice gooey center but a bit too sweet for me. Overall, I think this is a good place to stop when you want some quick bites and want something more on the healthier end compared to fast food. First time coming here to check out their menu and overall a lot of great quality options. They have different protein options that you can pair with any of their food options. I got the Americano and classic tacos with veggies and tofu. They were a great food option and when it's paired with the salsa, it makes it even better. They also have other options, such as burritos, a variety of desserts, and street food. Atmosphere was good. There was plenty of seating and the staff was friendly. They also have a salsa bar and plenty of drinks. The prices were reasonable and there was plenty of parking. Overall, I definitely want to come back to this place. I also really want to try the churros and the yucca fries. They also have a variety of drinks, which I think would be good to pair with your food.

I've struggled to find good Mexican food since I moved here, and so I am so glad that I took a chance and went to Sabor. Sabor is located at the end of a long strip mall sporting a few tables and a self-serve salsa bar. I was greeted by a very sweet guy who gave me the low down on the menu. I decided to get an al pastor taco, chicken Taco, chips, and large beans. While I waited I checked out their salsa bar that was a mixture of mild, spicy, and hot sauces. I got a couple of red sauces, a Pico de gallo, and firey green salsa that I mixed with some of the Pico. Once my food came out all I could say was wow! So authentic, juicy, and yummy! All of my taste buds were on a super serious high and I did not want to come down. I loved that the food was not super salty and just tasted so delicious! I cannot wait to come back for their Taco Tuesday specials so I can try more of their tacos! Such an amazing spot!

This order-at-the-counter place has only been open a few weeks, but they run it like they've been doing it for years. The menu is simple, and the prices are good! For a recent lunch, I ordered two chicken autentico tacos and one shrimp taco (they changed the flour tortilla to corn at my request). All were good, but the shrimp taco stood out, and I'd definitely order more next time. My friend ordered a build-your-own chorizo burrito and loved it, especially with sauces from the sauce bar. He didn't share his yuca fries, but he said they were crisp and good. The place is clean and bright, with lots of seating considering the space. Service was fast and friendly and our table was even cleared for us. I definitely hope we get to go back soon!

I can no longer eat comfortably or fell safe as we are continually harassed by homeless people who are aggressive in their approach.
