Rusty Hook Bar & Grill

Arrived at 9PM to order to go before they closed at 10PM. Walked in, no one greeted us or said anything, it was empty other than workers sitting at tables on their phones. An older white man with a beard, white shirt, and hat next to the bar waved his hand across his neck signaling they "were closed". My husband, asked to be sure "Y'all are closed?" and the older man nodded his head. Don't advertise 10PM everywhere if you're going to close at 9PM.

This is my second time at this place and the service is always great. Shout out to the cook we had overheard that he was the only one that day and still managed to get the food out on time.The food was super fresh I almost burned my tongue and it was so flavorful ! I genuinely recommend taking the drive or if you live near by to stop here and enjoy their food.

This place, that we used to like, has gone downhill. Started off with the hostess trying to seat us between two tables of smokers inside, which is totally gross. We had to sit outside to get away from the smoke. How does that make sense? We ordered our usual but the usual was bland and not near as good as usual. The queso was runny and flavorless. The waitress never asked us how our food was. It took forever to get the bill. Then they make you check out and tip right in front of them on a handheld device, which is rude.

Wow I have never run out of a place so fast in my life. Miss the old place where they had excellent food and BBQ was still on the menu. Missing the BBQ grilled cheese! But this night? Table full of screaming preteen girl baseball team and some guy on the mike playing snippets of songs. We never did find out what was going on. But the shrilly screaming preteen girls ran us out of the bar. We won't be back. There are too many good places in the area to eat and have an adult beverage.

Was pretty disappointed on this visit. I was there celebrating my birthday with the family. Let me start by saying the waitress was nice but overwhelmed. We didn't mind waiting for our food but the crawfish was on the small side but a good flavor. One butter for 5 lbs of crawfish though?! Asked for 4 butters and 2 seasoning that after waiting for it for over 20 minutes I had to find her to remind her to bring it only for her to only bring out only 1 of each. My husband ordered a plate and no fork, I had to get up and find one. Asked for the check and 20 minutes later finally checked out. 2 1/2 hours. Ugh. Not my best visit unfortunately :/

If you're in the mood for crawfish, I would definitely recommend this place! $6.99/lb not bad and crawfish were pretty big and very tasty. Recommend extra spicy (not that spicy), as spicy had no kick. They have promos often on them as well. Fried mushrooms, wings, boudin were also pretty delicious as well. Didn't care for their crab legs, they were dry even in juices. Haven't tried anything else...yet. Place gets pretty packed so you can imagine how service is...sub par. No one greets you as you come in, you just have to find your own place to sit. May take awhile for someone to tend to you, but they will. Ambiance: biker bar garage kind of feel, laid back, casual, good place to hang out with friends/family and maybe have a drink or two.

If you are looking for a bar that has live music and pool tables along with other games and has ice cold beers in the bucket... then RHB&G is your place.If you are looking for good food then I am sorry to say that you won't find it here.The food was bland and is just your typical bar food.... Would I come back? For a cold beer YES. For the record the service was excellent and our waitress was friendly... definitely service with a smile.So let it be written.... So let it be EATEN.

Really wanted some good crawfish,we went with some friends, all 4 of us loved the blue crab, snow crab, and crawfish! Service was on point. This is low key vibe, everyone enjoyed themselves. I did ask if I could order a bottle of wine( they had buckets of beer) and the server was really nice said she didn't know but would go ask. She came back and said I could not because they don't order wine for the restaurant often? I was confused by this answer, but let it go. So... not a good answer, hence the 4 star. Otherwise everything was great.

Really disappointed in my visit. They are advertising 50 cent oysters on Tuesdays so I had to check that out. To say they were SMALL OYSTERS would be an understatement. (I had a friend that went Saturday night and he said the oysters were big.) There were maybe 2 decent sized oysters out of 12. My goal was to order oysters and then order something else on the menu, but they were so small that I simply paid out and didn't order anything else. I am going to try out their Happy Hour soon, and I hope that visit goes much better.

I love the place, but when I'm constantly having to flag someone for another beer, it becomes irritating. The bartenders are just sweethearts, but can I have a beer?The food is really good if the kitchen gets the order correct. The establishment does not have a runner check the food (they say they do) or answer the phone.
