The pizza here is good, and the location is super convenient for us. However the service here is really inconsistent, some employees are better than others. Placing an order of the phone can be a real struggle and the website for this location has never been in working order for me to place the order online. The food is solid so we will continue to come here, but would really love it if the website worked. Also, they do have an outdoor patio but it is kind of sad. Not a lot of atmosphere. We usually get take home and have never eaten inside. They do have a good happy hour for drinks, which we always say we will try, but we have never gone.

My experience started with a fabulous customer service by Bryan.Location: white oak Parking: limited (30 minute space available or street parking)Price: average Wait time: none Clean: place was kept clean and inviting As we walked in we were greeted by Bryan, he was taking a phone order but still managed to make us known he had seen us. Once he completed his call he greeted us with a smile and great attitude. We chose to sit outside as the weather was fabulous. He right away came and took or order. Our pizza came out great, no greasy and just yummy. Overall we will come here again. Bryan always had a great smile in his face for all questions we had for him.

Not many places do I find my favorite ingredients all in one pizza. Behold, the truffle burrata prosciutto arugula pizza. The only feedback would be that I couldn't really taste the truffle... otherwise, tres bien.

Once again, I go back to places that I just love....hoping that one day things would improve: NOPE. I actually walked in to place my order, so there weren't any "phone complications", but to my dismay....they screwed up once again. How hard is it to bake a pizza correctly. If Russo's Doesn't know how to bake a pizza "correctly", you all might want to go back to the drawing board. If I kindly request my pizza to baked All-the-way-through, that doesn't mean that I desire it to be extremely doughy & floppy upon arrival. I specifically specified the way I would like it prepared. It's my fault for not checking it before leaving but I HAD THOUGHT it was double-checked before it was handed to me. When the back employee grabbed my pizza to hand to me, the two other employees stopped him, as he then opened the box. I saw this action take place so I thought they were double checking things.....NOPE. They only open the box to throw a pile of inch high basil in the center of the pizza pretty sure that's not right). Once home, we open the box to discover the tragedy. Furious. I've just about had it with this Russo's. I called the store to figure out what went wrong in this whole process. Of course the girl that answered didn't have a clue to my questions nor did it seem like there was a good grasp on life. During my conversation with her, the phone goes dead on (3) different occasions and then plays some type of elevator music. If this was her placing me on Hold, not once was i asked to hold or given Any sort of warning sign. I'm not too sure what that process is called, besides BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I once again want to Thank You All for ruining another meal, another dinner, another pizza, and once again, another experience at your Heights Russo's New York Pizzeria. *Worst Russo's in All of Houston

Was looking for a place in the Heights where I could get a slice of pizza and calamari. This new Russo's came up and I was glad to find it. I placed my order via GrubHub and it was ready for pick up when I came. I was surprised to see such a small parking lot and I was fortunate to get the last spot. Be mindful of this when wanting to come on a weekend. There are surrounding bars and free street parking is limited in that area. I would say this is the only downside I found coming here. The pizza was better than expected since I've been really weary about places out here in Houston that claim they're New York style pizza. Still not the best, but better than the last place I got. The calamari was good, it came with lemon wedges and marinara sauce. The tiramisu was a little disappointing for the price point. It wasn't terrible tasting, but I felt I could've baked this myself.Overall, pretty good spot to grab some Italian fast food. Will most likely return again!

The pizza is good... outstanding, no, but good. I placed an order to pick it up, and their parking absolutely SUCKS. I get in and find an Italian pizzeria that is out of prosciutto. That was no problem. I just asked them to replace it with Italian sausage. Even at that point, I was not too upset, but I did have to wait for that pizza to cook while my other items got cold. What bent me out of shape more than anything was the fact the order taker told me to bring in a coupon for the truffle knots, which I did! Yet, they still charged me!! I had to call back, and to my surprise, my calls were redirected after the first call after being put on hold at another store. A friend had to use his cell to call the store before I could get through and demand a credit. Simply put, there are far too many restaurants in Houston to have to deal with this EVER AGAIN. I pray the day to see this place out of business.

I do not understand why this place has 3 stars. It is because of the location, if that is the reason, did you know that the restaurant will valet your parking. I am snob when it comes to food, everyone complains that my expectations are too much. I had a gluten free pasta dish with mushrooms and spinach. The sauce in the dish was delicious. I only had hoped to have order some type of protein. I eat little so I took my pasta home and made a dish for dinner by adding some roasted garlic olive oil and chicken. I could not believe how delicious it turned out. The gluten free pasta was outstanding in its texture and flavor. The server was super, and place was very clean. I would totally go back and try another dish. Yes they had no fountain drinks because it seems that the restaurant was fixing the machine. As a person who loves great food, I review restaurant on cleanliness, the food and the service. I enjoyed a glass of water with my meal.

After attempting to order from Russo's - White Oak location online on 5.23.2024 and being unable to do so because the online link doesn't work (there is now a note on the website regarding technical difficulties), I placed a pick-up order via phone only to discover when I arrived home that evening that I had been overcharged by more than 25% based on the advertised on-line price. I immediately tried calling to speak to the manager let the manager know: 1) I was overcharged and/or 2) their website needed an update with current pricing but, was unable to reach anyone by phone that evening. After making daily attempts to contact a manager, leaving multiple messages for 10 days, Sonya (manager) finally returned my call. After much back and forth and many excuses for the issue on the part of Sonya, I requested a refund for the difference between the advertised price and the price I was charged (only $10.43). Sonya denied my request (with a smarmy laugh). Upon receiving Sonya's denial, I asked to speak with the owner who, per Sonya, refused my request to speak with him and also denied my request for a refund for the overcharge. While the overcharge was only $10.43 (which AmEx refunded me after a 1-minute phone call), it's the principle of the matter and the rude manner in which the issue was "not addressed" by both management and ownership, not to mention that they have now added a "Technical Difficulties" note on the website. I don't know that website update was related to my discussions with Sonya, but I'd bet on it. Unethical business practices? The pizza was decent, but I will never go back.

I have never eaten at a Russo's until yesterday. I was really impressed! Everything I sampled was amazing. i personally odered the chicken parm and a side salad. i had enough leftover for another meal! Someone ordered a side of meatballs and they are the best restaurant meatballs I have had in a LONG time. The red sauce was not too sweet, which I prefer! The complementary bread had a nice flavor and was airy where you did not feel like a rock was in your belly! the server was attentive! Overall a 5 star experience!! I will definitely be going back.
