After this visit, I officially have broken up with Ruchi's. I used to love it but it has fallen off in the recent years. I ordered the tinga burrito and the meat was super tough and chewy. I asked to swap for chicken and that was almost equally as tough. The service was slow and not friendly.I haven't had even a mediocre Ruchi's experience in some time. The food has become flavorless and almost inedible.

The restaurant was empty so that should've told us something. No ambiance. Our waitress was also the bartender. The drinks were warm and the food lacked taste and was bland which was very disappointing. Ask me why I ordered one drink to order another which was just as warm and practically tasted the same. There's nothing more that I can say.

Came to eat with my family.When we finally got our food, after maybe 2 bites, I looked on the wall next to my 4 year olds daughters head and there was a roach crawling down the wall, almost falling onto her head.After seeing this, all 3 of us lost our appetites. Our server was very sweet, so we left a tip for her regardless, but our meal WAS comped.I was so sickened by this, I threw up in the parking lot.

A waitress clearly just steps on my designer gym shoes and does not apologizes. She then acts as if I'm in the wrong and that I do not want to pay my tab. This restaurant is the most disrespectful and trashiest restaurant in Houston. I witnessed them serve alcohol to 15 minors repeatedly tonight which I understand now why the vibe was off. I took pictures after I noticed what was happening. The Restuarant has the credit card bills of these children to prove they are under age. Their parents nor legal chaperones were here. Clearly against the law to serve minors. I have never had a problem here in the past but tonight not 1 but 5 different waitresses disrespected me and acted as if I'm wrong in this situation. A clear apology and offer to wipe my shoe off would have been more than enough but it must be beneath them because I'm African American.

Great spot. Food is amazing and very well priced. Complementary chips and salsa and the green salsa is so good. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would visit again.

This food is extremely nasty, I came from California my cheese enchiladas always were great. The cheese inside these enchiladas was not melted the red sauce just tasted like tomatoes And not to mention the rice was like I was eating at a Chinese restaurant! This is Mexican by the way. The beans must have been from a can. Nothing was authentic. I don't like how this girl op-ed and gave me my food without washing my hands. I went back to get my order better it was still nasty.

I've been here a few times for a quick breakfast with my friend, but after today I won't be returning. The main reason we would come here is because it's close by and the food is cheap. We came here today and the service was horrible. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took them 20 minutes to bring us the water we asked for. They had several people working that just ignored us while we waited. Then they brought us out our food and we had requested avocado and bacon on the side. The waitress said she would be right back with both and by the time she came out of the kitchen we were already almost done eating.So save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. There's tons of better options in the area.

Be careful!!! I have always enjoyed Ruchi's, but I ate here Saturday night(10/28) and got food poisoning. Had a burrito w/carne asade(the meat did taste funky) & woke up at 4am sweating, shaking, and throwing up. Then I had the pleasure of sitting on the toilet for an hour, puking and . This quality of food, which was never that high to begin with, has definitely gone downhill.

I was very excited to try Ruchi's today however upon arrival was met with the worse customer service experience. Ana took three Togo orders and the experience was extremely poor. She was rude, dismissive and had an apparent attitude towards my friends and I. She was dishonest on several accounts when asking about menu availability and pricing. She blatantly over charged for for menu items that were clearly listed on the menu at a different price. I asked why she was being so rude and if she had an issue she SPAT back 'DO YOU HAVE AN ISSUE' ! So extremely unprofessional. I asked for the manager she told me to come back next week to see the manager. The food was subpar or atleast the food we received with regards to quality and portion. The meat was flavorless and chewy. Overall the experience could have been decent/been better if the customer service was good. If the food was atleast good it would've been worth the hassle however the food was just as bad as her attitude.. Her rudeness really made our experience bad. I will be calling the manager to leave additional feedback.
