I came here under the suggestion of a friend. They told me the Maki wasn't really good, but I didn't want to try it for my first dish. I ended up ordering the shrimp and vegetable teriyaki, which was amazing. I love the sauce they use. I'm happy with the amount of sauce that was on the food. I asked the waiter to bring me out sake and I didn't care what flavor because I wanted to just guess and I enjoy all types of sake, so it was not a bother. And I'm grateful that they Went on a to surprise me. I know how challenging that can be in the food business because everyone is particular but they made an excellent ones so I suggest trying the apple sake.

This is an unusual place. It looks like it was redone 15 years ago or so and hasn't been well kept. Very dusty fixtures and stuff everywhere. It almost looks like their moving but their not.Wait staff was friendly enough but I felt like I was an imposition. (Maybe because was dining alone. As far as food, I kept it simple. I started with the Tuna and Avocado Maki. It wasn't bad but not the best I've ever had. For my entree I got Tokyo Shoyu Ramen which is described as "Hot ramen bowl with Chuka thin noodles, fish cake, Bamboo & spinach. Topped with sautéed pork."It was pretty good but disappointment was the spinach was a big glob rather than small pieces. The sautéed pork was large slices that I didn't even try to cut and eat. The eggs were done perfectly. The yolk was not hard but was solid enough that it stayed in the white. Good flavor. I may go here again if I'm back in Buckhead and I've tried all the other restaurants in the area.

I love Rusans! The fried rice is always a winner! My friend ordered it this time. I've been going to the Moreland location over 10 years. This was my 1st time at this location. I usually love everything. The salad and soup used to come out no matter what but that has changed. The server put extra fish eggs on my sushi although I said light. I will say they have a great reputation because of the price and saki. Always good vibes. Next time light on the fish eggs rusan is good and budget friendly with a huge menu yum!

We got the super power builder, crunchy mui bueno roll, and widow roll. At 5'10 and 135lb, the super power builder REALLY filled me up. Had to take a break for like 20 minutes before finishing. The widow roll was fine, but the avocado looked far from fresh.Giving this a a 3/5 for freshness and value. I used to come here years ago because it was very affordable for a decent quality meal, now it's gotten more expensive than I think it is worth. I'm not sure if the lunch buffet is still a thing, I may return to try it

My new favorite sushi spot in Buckhead!!! This place has everything you could want: good prices & quality sushi, a HUGE menu, validated parking (and plenty of spaces in the garage), friendly servers, and a spacious restaurant with a patio! I had such a wonderful time here and will absolutely be back soon. I got 2 sushi rolls and it was very affordable and filling!

You can always find me at Rusans!!! When I say the best, fresh, innovative rolls you will find in Atlanta-Buckhead!! Can we just get into the service.. Sal is the best of the best!!! I typically love to sit outside as you oversee the streets of Buckhead and take in the breeze. The skyline creates for a great outdoor eating experience I love to get the rainbow roll and try different items. This day I seafood fried rice, seafood volcano roll (cooked), and salmon volcano roll!!

I have been coming here for YEARS and I'm so happy that it is finally getting back to its usual self after the tough times of Covid. The sushi is always so diverse and interesting. You can find any roll, and they're more than just the typical cucumber and cream cheese rolls many places offer. I always enjoy being able to try many different rolls and always leave full. The service is wonderful and rolls are made quickly. I'm always greeted when I walk in the door by the sushi bar and quickly get seated and served. The restaurant is always clean and open for families. For me this is an Atlanta staple and I know I'll be happy coming here.

Really impressed with this sushi spot!I am fairly new to Atlanta, so I am not very familiar with the history behind Ru-San's, but I heard that this establishment holds many memories.I went with a big group, and we sat at a long metal table by the kitchen that gave off diner vibes. The interior had some 90s decor, unlike what you'd expect from a sushi restaurant.I ordered the Rising Sun roll, which is one of their specialties and an Uni roll on the side. For the amount of food I got, I only paid $22, which I thought was a good price.The Rising Sun was really good and came with a side of spicy mayo. The fried outer shell was really filling, so I was only able to eat two of them. I am the type of person who loves fried sushi, but gets nauseous from it quickly.The Uni was great quality as well. I think it was $7, but I think that is typical for that type of roll.The waitstaff was attentive and the food came out quickly, especially given the fact that we were a group of 12 people or so. I guess this is a place to celebrate birthdays cuz there were at least three in the span of the 2 hours we were there! If you want to celebrate your birthday somewhere, Ru-San's will make a scene and give you free dessert.Great place for a quick bite, dinner, or a night out!

Decent sushi and good prices! The huge roll closest to the camera is the gone with the wind. We got two other specialty rolls and a 3 pc spicy tuna and it was a lot of sushi. Convenient location in buckhead and there is a large garage attached so parking is easy (they validate). We will return!
