The woman behind the counter was pleasant. Ordering was a bit challenging as I didn't have a menu and she had a hard time understanding me. The food, is the main reason I felt compelled to write a review. The cold sesame noodle, the noodles were gummy, sauce a bit too spice and salty and not mixed in well. Chicken with Chinese Veg, chicken was cut way to thin, dry and tough? Sauce was ok veg, overcooked, not firm as most like in a stir fry. I know its takeout but we are not amateurs. Also, way too much ginger, undercooked, so it was more spicy than flavorful. Crab Rangoon or Cheese Wontons as they call them, empty, hollow over fried dough with the slightest hint of what may have been creamy filling. Total bust. Spring rolls, ok, filling good flavor, just not enough. They were small, doughy and under fried. Steamed dumplings filling good flavor, decent amount, wrapper was the thin type. Overcooked so the wrapper was limp. Other restaurants put the sauce in a cup, sometimes wrapped with plastic outside and separated from the hot dumplings. The sauce cup was in the container with the dumplings and the lid had opened, so all the sauce was in the container with the dumplings and its juices diluting the vinegar sauce. The dumplings could've been the best thing out of the 5 things we ordered. Overall sad disappointing meal. Not sure how they got even 3 stars.

You could taste the ingredients in each bite! It is very tasty! The egg rolls are made fresh. It is a true "Mom and Pop" place - the chicken tasted like chicken and not just sauce. If you around - try it! Only four stars because no delivery, 3 percent charge for Cc and you have to add the tip when you pick up. It is a take out place only,

The food is fine, typical Chinese takeout. But the last two times I ordered from Royal Garden, I asked for an ingredient to be left out of the dish I ordered, and they ignored that request both times. So I won't be ordering there again.

The food is delicious here. It had great flavor and it is always so fresh! Owners are super friendly as well. I see a lot of reviews from 2 years ago and this place definitely must not be owned by the same people.

all local Chinese food has gone down significantly in quality. Royal Garden was Disappointing (wasted calories on terrible generals chicken) even with these low local expectations. If you are craving cheap generals chicken (it happens) I recommend the food court in concord mall. Yi palace best local option for anything other than a generals craving. Best dumplings are at south east kitchen (Thai place - excellent spot)

This place used to be EXCELLENT! I think the owners just changed hands. I went here yesterday (10/9/2019) and the food was NOT good!! In fact the same dishes I ate in the past are now different (white sauce on a dish that used to be with a brown sauce). The WonTon soup tasted like it had a ton of ginger in it! The fried rice was greasy and had no taste!!!

I had to drop some packages off at FedEx across the street from this place. It was convenient and I have little issue with traveling a bit to get good Chinese food, or any food that is good (like Tolteca for Mexican, its 100 yards north of this place). And since I am looking for a good Chinese place since Hunan Inn changed from really good to meh, I figured I'd give it a go. Prices were ok but only 6 cheese wontons are included in an order. Other places are 8 and sometimes 10. They were ok. The wonton soup was average. They forgot part of the order so I was not able to try the cold noodles with sesame sauce. Then there was the Pad Thai. It was like something I had never considered. It had green peppers in it. I am talking about green bell peppers. The peppers took over the dish. It made the pad thai just about inedible. I have never seen anyone put green peppers in pad thai - EVER! Needless to say, I will not be heading back there again. Oh, and they suggested a tip. No one waited on my table for 40 minutes whilst I ate, refilled my drink, asked if everything was going well... you know, the thing the wait staffer does when at a restaurant for a meal. That is why I tip. Not simply because I'm buying something. I don't tip at home depot either. Then they charged an extra 3% bc I paid with a card. Yeh, I think they can survive without my help. I'll try somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. The only thing left for them to do is to spill a drink on me. So I'll avoid the place for the long haul

This is by far the worst Chinese food we ever had. We stopped there on the way home from an appointment for the first and the last time. We got the general Tao's lunch special and 4 wings with fried rice. The rice was ok but the chicken wings were awful. It was extremely burnt almost charred black but still pink on the inside. The general Tao's chicken was pretty much all skin. Such a waste of your hard earned money.
