This has a cute Italian outdoor seating area where you can see the bustling Chicago streets around you. A good variety on the menu, but the brunch menu is more limited compared to their menu after 2 pm.I was hoping to try their gnocchi, but it was unavailable. Instead, I got the Italian Beef Sandwich. This was not bad! The au jus was definitely the best part, but since the sandwich was so big, there wasn't enough! I couldn't finish it since it was too dry without the au jus. The fries are also really well made here!!

I know this food looks amazing but it was lacking so much in flavor. I love pasta because normally you can't go wrong with a pasta restaurant but it just felt like it was missing something. It was also so overpriced. The service was good, the folks there were very kind and made sure our water was filled.

If you are in the great city of Chicago I highly recommend Rosebud on Rush. The restaurant was in walking distance from our hotel. We noticed that they had a good crowd every time we walked past it so we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did. I just want to warn you the food is amazing. We were seated immediately. We opted for outside seating. Our waiter was very engaging and funny. He warned us that the food portions were large and many items on the menu could be shared between two people. The wait for the food wasn't too bad for the size of the crowd. We started off with the stuffed mushrooms which were amazing . I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered Ravioli. Both dishes were delicious. I could not finish all of the potatoes because as you can see in the photo, they were cut too big; the salmon cut was cut big as well. I couldn't post the photo of the ravioli as it came out too dark. We were well sheltered outside and it was leaning towards the evening hour. Our walk back to our hotel was uncomfortable as we were stuffed. They fed us good. You must stop in to Rosebud on Rush. I highly recommend it

I really don't understand how this place has such high ratings. I think the wall of celebrities has confused people with quality. Located in the heart of downtown this restaurant is in a great location, unfortunately the food tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. The pasta lacked flavor and was not properly cooked (very soggy ). The only saving grace was the wine.

Supposedly famous restaurant with large following among the famous stars...I came in for a Sunday brunch, and was not impressed. Offered indoor or outdoor heated seating I picked outdoor heated seating which was turns out not heated. Service was awful, and food was bland. Omelette I had was runny and crab cake Benedict blah. Our server was difficult to fetch and even coffee refills were hard to come by. Interestingly enough restaurant charges 3% surcharge due to Covid...this is years after pandemic ended. I complained and they took it off...

While walking around Chicago on vaca and checking out the sights we knew we were gonna need a big hefty meal and Rosebud has been on the top of my list since I booked my vaca. We were able to get a group of 7 of us quickly sat for an early dinner. We are a big Italian family and love a good pasta dish. My husband and I opted to share a few dishes. I went for the baked rigatoni and my husband did the classic fettuccine Alfredo. I also asked for a side of broccolini just so we had a little fresh veggies with all the carbs. The dishes here are HUGE, 2-3 of us could've split my rigatoni. I loved the cheesiness and flavor of the rigatoni. The fettuccine was good and honestly just taste like a homemade dish. Nothing bad to say about the dish. Just pretty basic. The restaurant was beautiful and had great aesthetics. Pricing wasn't terrible as well. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

I made reservations for this restaurant three months in advance. And then called two days before the reservation to make sure we could either get a booth inside or a table outside on the patio. I was assured there would be no problem. We got there and the maître D said it would be a 40 minute wait for a booth and there were no tables on the outside patio. He was not accommodating at all or even that friendly. He wound up seating us down in the basement against a wall with zero view and a bunch of people all crowded in like cattle. Extremely extremely uncomfortable area to eat. You feel like you're in a dungeon or you're put down there because you're in a timeout because you've misbehaved. We were meeting another couple so we just decided to take that table. Miguel was our server and he was lovely. Pretty expansive menu. The food came out nice and hot with very large portions. The Chilean see bass melted in your mouth. The baked ziti was very flavorful and satisfying and the chicken Parmesan was really tasty as well. Not inexpensive by any means and not worth it if you've got to be stuffed in the basement. Overall, it would've been a really enjoyable experience had they not stuck us down there. And even after making these reservations so far in advance what's the point of reservations, if they don't honor them?! I would've given them 5 stars had the hostess not been so rude and they would've honored our reservation.

Rosebuds on Rush offers a delightful dining experience with its charming outdoor patio and friendly staff. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual and special occasions. The highlight of our meal was the exceptional lasagna. The layers of pasta, cheese, and meat were cooked to perfection, resulting in a rich and flavorful dish. However, the Alfredo with chicken fell short of expectations. The sauce lacked seasoning and the chicken was bland.Despite this minor disappointment, the overall experience was highly enjoyable. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal. The outdoor patio provided a scenic setting for our dining experience, with lush greenery and twinkling lights creating a romantic atmosphere.Overall, Rosebuds on Rush is a solid choice for authentic Italian cuisine. While the Alfredo could use some improvement, the exceptional lasagna and charming ambiance make it a worthwhile destination for a memorable dining experience.

Authentic Italian restaurant, located near the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue). Be sure to make a reservation, as this is an iconic restaurant from Chicago. I highly recommend their antipasto salad, which is a great start for the table. We also tried the stuffed mushrooms, which was stuffed with bread crumbs, garlic and Parmesan cheese. The portions are large, so we split dishes. I loved their clams with linguine in white sauce.

Stopped in for some Friday night tiramisu and was not disappointed!! I've been to 2 other rosebud restaurants and this one was consistent quality with the rest - the service is great and the space has an authentic feel to it. The seating at this location is almost all on a lower level, except for the patio seating. They have a super large menu and give you a nice complimentary bread basket to start! The tiramisu was MASSIVE and very good!! All the tables adjacent to us also ordered it which speaks to the quality. Would definitely come back for desert!
