Every time we come here the service is great. The host is always welcoming (younger guy with brown hair) and makes a point to interact with everyone and that's refreshing. The food is good, and the drinks are also good. The ambience is nice and sometimes we come after a walk/exercise just to have a drink(ruining our workout) and just sit at the bar.It has a cute outdoor patio also for beautiful days!

After seeing a Yelper's photos recently of some deep dish pizza, I expressed a wish for some Detroit-style pizza with lots of tomato sauce and cheese.Someone in my household thought it would be interesting to sample several pizzas in a pizza war, pitting pizza against pizza, slice vs slice in a palate popping duel to the stomach (not my idea, I would have been happy with one decent slice). Challenger #1 arrived at the home via delivery and was lukewarm. Rosebud's pizza was of a flatbread variety, crust was brown and very crunchy. It assumed a dual identity of half pepperoni and half mix of meats (sausage and very crunchy prosciutto? salami? There was not very much sauce. This did not meet my criteria but that is the fault of the organizer of this impromptu contest. I would say that this pizza would have been better consumed in the restaurant. However, I would order pastas or other entrees when eating at Rosebud.

For me, Rosebud was an alright spot for dinner. The best parts of going to this restaurant were the prompt service, large dining area (though it's really hard to hear one another), elegant decor, varied menu, and plenty of parking. It really has all the characteristics that make it an ideal spot to gather in Deerfield for a special event. The food is where the experience falls a bit short. Even if price isn't factored in, the food is a bit bland and the preparation is fairly plain on many items. I tried a wide variety of items on my visit and found the quality to be a bit inconsistent. For example, the Jalapeno Hashbrowns were a bit soft and felt underseasoned and barely spicy at all while the bruschetta had nice fresh tomatoes with a lightly brunchy bread and the basil flavor came out pretty well with the right amount of cheese to add a little saltiness. The fried calamari was quite standard (though the quality of the calamari was pretty good) which relied completely on the sauce to give it any flavor while the grilled calamari was bursting with flavor and had a very nice tender texture to it as well. The caesar salad was also quite plain for me, once again feeling a bit underseasoned despite several salty elements. The short beef ragu was done fairly well, with a large portion of meat and tender fusilloni pasta. I liked how the sweet peas and shaved parmigiano added a bit of sweetness and richness to the dish without feeling too heavy. For dessert I tried the Godiva Chocolate Mousse Cake which was enormous and tasty. The chocolate really came out very clear in 3 distinct layers of mousse, cake, and ganache. The berries served on the side were fresh and the creme fraiche really helped to bind all the elements together. This dessert was so impressive maybe I'll have a meal of only desserts here one day as the other options sounded amazing as well.Overall, there are many things to like about this restaurant in terms of the service, decor, and setup -- the inconsistent nature of the food makes it somewhat difficult to unconditionally recommend as the difference between the worst and best dishes is still quite high. But there were more things to like about the experience than there were to dislike, and on the dishes that were prepared well, the flavor was quite impressive.

Great service! Felt like we were with Family. Christmas dinner with F. The food was amazing and so much of it. It was busier than I expected and we were there for about two hours but overall a good experience.

I'm not sure why Rosebud has received so many terrible reviews. This place is absolutely fantastic. I've been eating here since they were in the Highland Park location so many many years. The food has only gotten better with time. My favorite dish is the chicken Parmesan. Its massive can easily feed three people, I typically take it home and have leftovers for the next day. Their minestrone soup is also very delicious, lots of seasoning. for dessert I'll go for the tiramisu- delicious they use lots of mascarpone cheese so they're not skimping on ingredients. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience at this restaurant ever service is always spot on. Staff and management are on top of their game. The interior is warm and inviting modern as well as sleek. Bathrooms always clean. I enjoy their patio in the summer. Highly recommend you can't go wrong with this place.

If it wasn't for our waiter, I would only give 1 star. Please listen to the other reviews when they say this restaurant is overpriced with subpar food. The food was not terrible, but for the prices they charge you might as well go somewhere else and get better flavor and quality. The drinks were good, and the wait staff worked hard to satisfy, so I gave them an additional star. Sadly, not a place I will visit again.

This is one of the nicer restaurants in the area I travel through for work. I had a delicious pasta dish and our service from Norma was exceptional. Would recommend and a good place for upscale dining without hassle.

Came here last minute the other night as the weather was bad and we couldn't get into the city for our plans. Dinner was for my husband, our two teens and myself. We used to eat at Rosebud all the time before they moved to this new location. On the positive side the place was busy and it was a weeknight. Our server was lovely and truly made us feel welcome. These are good things. The true negatives were the space is loud and needs some sort of sound dampening and the music being played was like EDM and was simply horrible. More importantly this place is expensive. We had dinner, no drinks, and our bill was about $180 for a simple Caesar salad that wasn't much of anything, a calamari appetizer and 4 pasta dishes, one had chicken. That's a blistering price. The pastas are $30-ish dollars and the portions are larger than average but it really felt overpriced for what it was. The salad especially was like $18 and was leaves, very little dressing and a few croutons. We were the suckers here, it's not the same Rosebud it once was. There is better Italian food in the area and save your money and go elsewhere.

I was there for a 20 people gathering recently and the food is absolutely divine. Everyone was savoring the different dishes with pleasure. It was the next best thing to being in Italy. The service was impeccable. The choice of wines offered was amazing because they were so well paired with the different dishes. I believe one of the chefs that came out was Davide and he was so personable and delightful to speak with. All of us guests had an awesome time. The deserts were so exquisite as well. Location and parking were perfect. Will be back with more friends in the near future for all of the September birthdays. Ottimo e Perfetto! Love your decore, Love it all!

Overpriced , bad food and the service isn't much better. Won't ever go back. It's sad that there is such a lack of quality restaurants in the area that a place like this actually survives. It is baffling.
