Let me start off by saying, I have been here before. The past few times I have had great service except for today. First, a young female with long lashes came to our table to ask if we wanted anything to drink? My wife ordered a beverage and I ordered water without ice. The female returned after 10 minutes with our drinks. She handed me a bottle of water. I informed her to return the bottle water and get me a glass of water. After 10 minutes she returned with a glass of water with ice. She said all of their glasses of water have ice. I was thinking to myself, my past visit I have ordered glass of water without ice and also how does water come with ice? Anyways, She asked if we were ready to order and we said yes. My wife ordered the Green Machine omlette and I ordered huevos con chorizo. After 15 minutes a group of four came in and was seated. After 5 minutes the same female asked if they wanted anything to drink, which they said yes and placed their order. Then 10 minutes later a couple came in and seated. After 5 minutes the group of four received their drinks and placedtheir food order. Then 5 minutes later the female took the drink order and food order from the couple. After 10 minutes the group of four received their food order. My wife asked the female server the status of our order? The female responded she would check. After 5 minutes the female brought the drinks to the couple. After 10 minutes, the couple received their food order. The female never provided us any information on our food order. So my wife and myself walked out. This was the first bad experience I had at this restaurant. I am one to support small businesses. I will await if I do receive a response and give an update.

I didn't think to take any photos at the time but I had a very enjoyable breakfast here. The food is very authentic and homemade tasting. The coffee was delicious and the prices are pretty fair. I hope to return in the near future to have breakfast again.

I ordered from DoorDash their chilaquiles and the churro French toast for brunch and I ate half my meal and saved the other half for next meal. I usually do have to add extra sauces to my eggs like hot sauce but the salsa verde was plentiful and so tasty, I loved it! The churro French toast was good. Good portions for the dishes priced and I was able to have some leftovers. I have not dined there in person so next time, I will update review on the service and ambiance. Overall, great brunch choice and I would order here again.

Initially I discovered this spot on Groupon as a newer business that peaked my interest. At the time they actually had a different name. They were once called Dolce Cafe, and apparently the partners had split, so the name was changed here. Dolce cafe still exists, though now at a different location in Chula Vista. (Been there too)They prepare a very good cafe de olla here, with cinnamon and piloncillo(basically brown sugar. The last time it was way too sweet, and I even let them know and asked for drip coffee to top it off.Portions are not large but adequate. Flavors are very good from the items I've ordered. The place tends to draw nicer dressed locals, and even those who just pop in for coffee or espresso beverages. The location itself is a little odd, with a really steep downhill parking lot adjacent to a Burger King. It is also pretty cramped inside with small tables and chairs, though they have an expanded patio area outside. I have had chilaquiles, breakfast platters and sandwiches and was never disappointed. One thing to note however, the service and wait times might challenge you. So on our last visit, it was 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes more for our plates to arrive. I typically would have the patience for this but since it is practically 30 minutes from home I tend to get hangry..

To begin, this cafe is located on a hill which is extremely steep it's almost scary. Secondly, we got to choose our seats either indoors or on the terrace. After sitting down our order was placed for drinks and food. Our drinks took about 25 minutes to be brought to us. The food was brought maybe 15 minutes after that. When our food arrived no utensils were provided until about 5 minutes after. The food was really good and at a good price point but the service not so great. The servers were not attentive and it almost felt rude. Mind you, we went on a Tuesday morning at around 11am. I can't imagine the weekends. Will not be returning anytime soon.

Stumbled upon this place randomly before the wife and I had to spend the day car shopping. The atmosphere was small yet homey feeling. They had an array of coffee drinks and fresh pressed juices. My wife loved her ginger/carrot/oj. As far as the food, it fell short in both of our opinions. My wife has the chorizo toast, it lacked flavor. While my crane asada was tough. The server forgot to bring our banana crepe, but glad she didn't since other items weren't too appetizing. I'd consider coming back to try something different, as maybe the items we ordered weren't something the house specialized in.

Food was delicious! But the service wasn't great. Took about 75 minutes to get our food. Never received an update about or food. When we got our food utensils were not provided so we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for utensils to be brought out. Never offered water or refill on drinks. Place wasnt even that full cant even imagine on extenely busy days

Found this hidden gem on IG the ambience was nice and chill really cool decor. I ordered an oatmilk mocha which was delicious and went with the steak and eggs over easy. Everything was really tasty and delicious except for the potatoes as they were under cooked. Over all 7/10 would definitely come back!
