This restaurant is always consistent. Great fresh flavorful food. The location is good and always has parking.

Found this place by accident while in my way to have yet another cheesesteak. Glad I did. Food was great. First off. They had everything!! Most Jamaican places I've been to be missing something. Everyone was way cool. Patient and peaceful and the food was good.

My Caribbean Hunt continues! I think this place used to be a 7 11, at least the building looks like it used to be one lol. With that being said, parking wasn't harsh. As I walk in, the restaurant looks clean and pretty modern. I would say Ron's is probably the best looking Caribbean restaurant in the NE Philly's area. Service wasn't top notch but not ignorant either. Compared to The Flavor Spot, Ron's Caribbean cuisines' service is definitely so much better. I stick to my usual favorite, Jerk Chicken. I always get it with Rice & Peas and cabbage. I also ask the staff to pour oxtail's gravy on my rice and cabbage. I'm so glad that I asked, it adds extra kick to both of my sides. Also order the Jerk sauce on the side and cornbread. Originally I want to order coco bread but Ron's only carries Corn bread. Nothing special about that as I've had better corn bread elsewhere. This is the most white meat chicken I've ever see in a Jerk Chicken platter lol. If you like white meat, then definitely give Ron's of rising sun avenue a try. You won't regret it as it is season from the meats to the bones. Ron's also offers desserts too, such as cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, red velvet cake etc.........

The Jerk Chicken wings we're completely dry and burnt to a crisp. Completely inedible. Doordash gave me a complete refund.

I usually got to their Broad street location where service is good and they give you plenty of of food...Well not the Rising Sun location i walked in and ordered a large fish platter the cashier had an attitude and a passion mark on her neck so unprofessional i asked for Mac okra and rice and beans they forgot my Mac the fish was barely warm and they gave me enough rice a for a child...I recommend going to the original location cause this one ain't it

Went there for first time 7-2-23 and must say I'm impressed! Wonderful ambience, spotless!!, nice tunes playing softly on outside, wonderful customer service...professional demeanor ...food was delicious!!! I got curry chicken with rice & beans and callaloo and an order of brown stew, chicken, rice & beans with mixed vegetables for my mum .... season very well. I can taste the Palmento in the rice and beans. Only complaint too much salt in the food and I had to wait a long time for the callaloo. I plan on going back to try their fish and other food selections they have, also I want to see if the food is always salty or was it just this particular day. Excellent price for the amount of food that they give you ....again aside from the salt, The food was seasoned to perfection and the chicken was was very tender and juicy.

I usually love this place, but their lack of accountability when they make a mistake is disappointing. I ordered $70 worth of food, and they messed up one of my platters. When I brought it up, they refused to offer a reasonable refund or compensation. All I was offered was $3 worth of extra food if I come now, which is a 30-minute drive away. Apparently, a partial refund wasn't an option. It felt like I had to either accept their mistake or get nothing, as if my time and loyalty meant nothing to them. It's honestly disrespectful

Food was delicious, and the portions were huge. I love the large roti they served with the meal. The meat pie was on point and delicious as well.

The Ox tails with vegetables was great, just like it should be, without a lot of added sugar but the woman that prepared my platter acted as if I'd done something wrong to her and the cashier gave me my change without simply saying thank you. I had a tip in my hand but remembered, tips are for good customer service. That was my first visit to that restaurant, I don't think I'll be locking that number and location in my phone. Bottom line, food good customer service bad.
