Good little pizza and pasta joint. Crazy busy for a Tuesday, which is great for them. Plenty of tables and they also do a ton of to-go orders. I ordered the Chicken Piccata dinner. It comes with a salad and garlic bread, and your choice of Spaghetti or Ziti. I went with Spaghetti. The service was great, food came out fast and hot! They are not heavy with the salt, so for me I had to add salt. Otherwise, every thing was good. And a good price! The place was a little noisy, but not so loud you can't have a normal conversation. It gives the feel of a New York pizza joint. Order at the counter and seat yourself. Good is delivered to the table for you. At the tables there is a caddy with salt, pepper, Parmesan, oregano, chili flakes, and garlic powder. Coca-Cola fountain machine and Unsweet black tea. I believe there was also beer available. Next time I'll try one of their pizzas. Pizza by the slice is also available.

This is our go to for Italian delivery in Houston. Pizza is as close to Ny as we've found (husband is a New Yorker) Recently we've discovered how good everything else is too! We love the chicken parm sub, the pastas, the chicken Marsala. Good quality Italian restaurant with an endless menu of options, service/delivery is always fast & our order has never had an error. Big Romano's family here

Great food always no matter what you order. Favorite food is the Beef Cannelloni and the Margarita pizza with ham. Delish!

Was craving a slice of pizza, and this was highly suggested on a Facebook foodie group. Bf and i got 2 slices (1 pepperoni, 1 cheese) for $9.20 after tax. Cheese pizza starts at $3.75, and it's $1 per topping. Supreme starts at $7, and although it looked good, seemed way too pricey for 1 slice. Slices are very thin NY style. It satisfied my craving and it was "alright" but nothing special. They do heat it up for you in the oven so it came out super hot. They also charge extra for credit card, and it was kind of hot and humid in the restaurant. Located in a shopping strip with plenty of parking so that's a plus.

Really liked Romanos! They had some creative pizza options (ex: a Halloween option) in addition to your standard pizzas. I believe it's family owned but either way when we went the people working were really kind and talking to us when it wasn't packed! Have been there multiple times and whenever it's not too crazy they love talking with their customers. Once we ordered a couple pizzas to go and one was ready slightly before the other and we absolutely crushed the first pizza before bringing the other home - the pizza is good quality and we always love getting something from romanos. It is in a shopping strip so there's plenty of parking around which is really nice! It's a great spot in Montrose and would recommend trying it out.

I wasn't entirely sure this place would be good bc the online pics make everything look sloppy. I decided to go anyway bc my sister convinced me. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza & didn't have to wait much. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised! The pizza reminded me so much of NY. I must say that it was better than most pizzas I've tried. This should be a top 3 place in Houston. The dough is crispy but doughy at the same time but the true ingredient that makes it really good is the sauce. If you are wanting to try this place, do so!

For what it is, Romano's Pizza is good--we had a good, basic pepperoni pizza, with a good, basic side house salad. Nothing fancy, but it was good.

I grew up in NJ. This is hands down the best pizza I have had here in Houston. Ive tried pizza all over here. Im admittedly a total pizza snob and I laugh every time I see Texans give Dominos five stars. Listen to the native folks about BBQ. Dont listen to a Texan about pizza. This is why Im here. To help. And if you want great pizza here in Houston, this is the place to go. High quality ingredients, and the crust is the best Ive had here by far. Great mozz, nice sauce to cheese ratio. The owner is apparently from Queens. Buon Appetito!

NY Style Pizza in Texas!!! Owner is from Queens and it shows.Pizza crust was crisp (not burnt), excellent under carriage, perfect sauce to cheese ratio. It is expensive BUT worth it. Can't stand Marcos - that's the staple pizza in Houston. We had a slice of plain, a slice of pepperoni and a slice of Romano Special. All were delicious!

Barstool Pizza Review score 7.4Pizza was pretty good. Very similar to what you would find in the NJ/NYC area. Only thing where I would knock is the toppings portions. The onions were heavy handed and the sausage was a touch on the under. Vodka sauce was pretty good as well. Pasta was cooked properly. Service was prompt and easy. Location has a surprising amount of seating.
