So I went with the intention of getting the chicken tikka phattie, despite the complaints about service. I had no problem with the service as it was self service ordering with text notification. The problem was with the taste of the chicken tikka roll, beef roll, and lukewarm fries. I took a few bites of the rolls, discarded the fries, and at least enjoyed the masala corn--a lot like elote. The rolls didn't taste good at all. Feeling a little queasy now. Never returning :(

I took a lap around the POST food hall before making a decision to try Rollin Phatties. It has a funny name and there wasn't a line so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Phattie. The lady at the register told me I would get a text message when it was ready. After about 10 minutes I hadn't received a text so I went back to check on it. After awkwardly standing near the counter for a few minutes, I decided to get a bottle of water at the vendor next to them and go back to my table to wait some more. Another 10 minutes passed and I still hadn't received a text so I went back to the counter to check on it again and it still wasn't ready. The lady asked me what I ordered then checked with the cook and he was finally making it. After about another minute or so, it was finally ready! The paratha was flaky and buttery and each bite had a nice crisp. The chicken tikka was flavorful and a bit spicy. I had to keep drinking sips of water to tame down the heat. Luckily, there are water bottle fillers at the water fountains throughout the food court so I didn't have to purchase another water bottle. The portion was enough for me because I wasn't starving, but if you're really hungry, you may need two or maybe order a side with it. The lack of beverage options and the long wait was disappointing especially because they were not busy at all. The cashier looked bored sitting there. If you're not in a rush, then try this place out. They're close to one of the bars, so you can enjoy a nice cocktail before your food is ready.

I'm a sucker for food halls. They say variety is the spice of life and food halls allow you to do just that. You can get a little bit of everything and it's an elevated experience compared to the food court at the mall. And Post is one of the best of the bunch in town. Back in December, I stopped by Post for dinner on a Thursday evening. A lot of people were off for the holidays so it was packed. Rollin Phatties was not prepared. They had one guy working as both the cashier and the chef. He was doing the best he could running back and forth from the cash register to the kitchen but things naturally were moving super slow. He needed at least another employee there to help and you could tell he was stressed out about it. That led to a long wait time at this Pakistani restaurant with the weed-themed name. We went with the chicken tikka masala phattie with masala fries. Plus a side of paratha. The phatties are not blunts but actually paratha wraps. I didn't try the wrap but I did have the paratha and I sampled the masala fries. The flavor of the fries was overpowering. I surprisingly wasn't a fan. A little too much flavor for my taste buds to handle.

Came here at lunch time on a Wednesday, and there was no line at all. I ordered a chicken tikka phattie with a side of regular fries. The phattie was tasty (kind of on the lighter side so I see why people order more than one sometimes), but the fries were nothing to write home about - just regular, thick, potatoey fries with salt and pepper on top. I would've gotten the masala fries, but I was worried the phattie itself was already going to be a lot and didn't want to go into a food coma the rest of my afternoon at work!Ordering wasn't the most seamless in this case. There was a slight language barrier with the guy at the cashier, so I ended up needing make two separate orders because I was asking to add a side of fries with my entree and he didn't pick up on it the first time and made it sound like it came on the side already. But then he had to ask for another guy to show him how to work the register, etc., and that guy clarified that the fries did not come included, thus helping me make a second order.

Came to railway market on an Saturday night. The wait was about an hour at 8pm. Once you finish ordering, they will get your contact information so they will text you once your order is ready. The wait for the food was about 10 mins after you order, so it wasn't too bad. I ordered the chicken tikka with an side of masala. The chicken tikka was not too bad but I felt like it could use more flavor. The fries was had an good taste with the sauce but the fries was a little too soggy for my taste. If it was crunchier, it would've been great. Overall it's not an bad place to eat at and would go back and try some other dishes!!

Yummy Delicious Pakistani fusion food! They put their own flare on tacos and quesadillas. Love the flavors that they have put together. So far I've tried the Beef Quesadilla and the Spicy Potato Phattie and I loved them both. The parathas are crispy on outside and perfectly cooked. The staff at the downtown location inside Post Houston are very nice. And I love the food hall. Clean and many options.

Omg wow. I saw this place hyped up on Instagram when it was just a food truck and I was psyched to see they opened a location in Post. I had to give it a try. I am a huge bihari fan. It's my favorite way to have meat at an Indo-Pak restaurant. I was excited to see that their beef phattie was just that--the tender, fall-apart bihari. The phattie came with the meat wrapped in a flaky paratha. Additional fillings were pickles, unexplainably delish sauces, and fried onions to add that extra crunch. SO good. I wanted to try a rice bowl although they said they weren't going to have those until 2pm, and I had arrived for lunch on Sunday at noon. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence but even if you can't get certain items at certain times, you can't go wrong ordering a phattie. Parking situation: on-site (Post parking lot)

First time trying Pakistani fusion food, so I have little to compare it to. We ordered brisket and chicken with regular fries and samosas on the side. Pros: For the price (about 15.00 an entree) we received a good amount of food that was filling. Very flavorful. Food arrived hot and tasted fresh. The samosas were my favorite, loved the flaky breading. Unfamiliar with the type of food, being a our time ordering on a terminal was nice and low pressure. We were given free ice water and baskets and trays that allowed us to take the food to the skygarden. Employees were friendly.Cons: We waited a long time for our food, even though the stand wasn't busy. We asked if the food would be spicy and were told it wouldn't be. It certainly tasted very spicy to us, took my taste buds a day to recover. I am not criticizing the amount of spice, if that's what is characteristic and authentic for this type of food. But if I am asking specifically, just tell me what to expect.

We waited for about 5 min for the guy cooking, we saw us and never acknowledged us. He finally has a raise our voice to get his attention, as I was looking at the menu he walked off. Beef Bihari- the bread was very flaky and buttery, beef was tender but very dry. Very over powering with the sauce-6/10Potato samosas- filling had good flavor but that breading was bland and not flaky 7/10

LOCATION:Rolling Phatties is located within the POST Market which is an indoor food hall in downtown Houston with ~20 vendors offering both local and international options. Beyond food, there are a few cute shops to browse and an amazing rooftop park that you can explore as well. On top of all that, they also have a gorgeous spiral staircase that's great for photos.PARKING:There is paid parking available at the POST. It's pretty high tech as their gates automatically recognize your car's license plate upon entry and it calculates your parking fees upon exit based on time. For M-Th: 0-75 min is free, $5/hr afterwards. For F-Sun: 0-30 min is free, $5/hr afterwards. You can either pay online or when your vehicle exists the gate. MY ORDER:[-] Chicken Tikka Phattie from Rollin Phatties ($12.95) - tender pieces of chicken marinated in authentic spices served with fried onions, pickled onions, cilantro, homemade sauces and wrapped up in a warm Paratha. This was really good - the meat was tender, flavors were good, and paratha was flakey but the amount of food you get for the price is not really worth it.
