The service was great, I felt special for my birthday! We went during happy hour, reasonable prices for what was being served. Our favorites were the wagyu and kimchi dumplings and Korean spiced lamb cutlet, a harmony of spice and savory . The coconut ice cream was yummmmmmmy! They have a parking garage that's free on the upper levels!

I've passed by here a bunch so decided to try it for happy hour. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they extended their happy hour to 6:30. I had the Roka fashion and asked for no ice and a lemon wedge and it was perfect. My friend got lychee martinis and enjoyed them. We tried a few things on the happy hour menu and the assorted sashimi tacos and dumplings were awesome. The hamachi Serrano roll was good as well. The burger is a STEAL at $9 for the mini burger and fries. We very easily spent $100 but definitely worth the price for 4-5 items (food/drink) per person. Service was great though the marketer manager awkwardly stopped by and told us how to book the private room lol. Parking: complimentary valet right in front. If you pull further down it's a diffenrt valet for the apartments and they will act very confused.

One of our two go-to sushi restaurants in town. The service is awesome but the reason to come here is the Sushi! Fresh, exotic and Always Delicious.

LOL.Okay, I don't know if the staff is trained or having a bad day or what.. but the service was tragic. I expect a certain level of service for this caliber of a spot, and this was a letdown. We came for Valentine's Day, a busy day for all food establishments, so I get when there may be a wait with a reservation. We were stuck behind 12 couples at arrival and were asked if we'd like to go to the bar.At the bar, we asked about a specific sake to get some insight and they just go "it's cloudy"... yeah clearly, we've had cloudy sake before but that is unhelpful to say the least. We went with it, and it was delicious (thank god).We then get seated about 30 minutes past our resy, no offer for a courtesy welcome drink for our wait.. Any other restaurant would have profusely apologized and provided a pour of even a $5 bottle of Prosecco for having several folks bunch together in the walkway. We had to wait for 30 minutes to order, and we saw our waiter a grand total of twice until the check came. We were never asked about our food, drinks, or experience.Regarding the food:Smash-Bone marrowFatty tuna nigiriKing salmon nigiriPass-Spicy Edamame- needed saltSeared salmon and unagi- noAmberjack- thick and chewyWagyu and kimchi dumplings- very ginger heavySake is a personal preference (and you better know it before going in!) so I'll let you decide. Also, as it was Valentine's Day, every female in a couple left with a rose, did I get offered one? No. Would I go again? No, not if I experienced what I did tonight.

Food was delicious, would definitely recommend and return. Dined after happy hour and they were a tad busy but it seemed very much 'all hands on deck' every one was check in to make sure the flow was right.

Too loud. Untrained servers and the tables are too close to others. Sushi was not great. We still left a generous tip because the server was young and naive but won't be back.

I went to Roka Akor for a private dining experience for a corporate dinner. The process to book and reserve the private room (which holds up to 40 people) was a seamless process and the event coordinator was very helpful in the process. The complimentary valet is a huge plus, and the inside of this restaurant is just stunning. It was definitely one of the nicest restaurants I have ever been to. Once in the private "Roka" room, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Onto the food, we were served a four course meal (family style). The shrimp tempura was amazing. The quality of the batter and the shrimp paired very well with the sauce provided. The prime beef takati and yellowtail sashimi were good starters to get the night going. The sauce on each respective dish kept each individual piece super juicy and refreshing. The Hamachi and Serrano Chili Maki were a good change of pace and a solid option overall. However, the sashimi platter, waygu sirloin, and marinated cod were all okay at best. For a restaurant of this caliber and after the strong starters, the main courses were kind of underwhelming. The presentation was there but the flavor just seemed to be lacking a special something. The sashimi could have definitely been found at a less expensive restaurant for the same quality, the cod was bland, and the sirloin had inconsistencies in the texture. To finish the night off with dessert, we had the Warm Valrhona Chocolate Cake with Almond Caramel and Vanilla Ice Cream. This dessert was by far the best dessert I have ever had. The bits on top were perfect and everything about this dish was perfect down to the last detail. Overall, Roka Akor was a great experience, however I can't see myself dining here again (unless it's on the company card).

My wife and I have somehow started a tradition of celebrating our anniversary with omakase's every year. This year we wanted to shake things up and try this Roka Akor's signature "Decadent Omakase". Roka Akor is a pretty spankin nice restaurant and warrants a business casual getup. The Decadent Omakase isn't exactly like a traditional omakase but rather a prix fix menu that they serve you at a regular table as opposed to sitting at the sushi bar and watching the chef prepare your meal. Decadent is a really great word to describe this meal as it quite literally hit up all the proteins on a menu ranging from seabass, to tuna collar, to crab legs, uni and steak. There were just too much dishes for me to name on here, but go to the photos and look at them. It was quite the experience and it left me stuffed to the brim. The service was great and our server was always on point.Pricing is as it suggests, a decadent meal is going to merit a decadent price. The night was definitely memorable and this 'Decadent Omakase' was definitely a good one. Minus 1 star as this wasn't really an Omakase IMO. More like a fixed menu. Might as well call it 'Decadent Meal for Two'. Don't want this to cheapen the term 'Omakase'

This was an ABSOLUTE experience! Great food, great energy and Andrew, the manager... I give him 5 stars PLUS 2, so he is a 7 manager! The food was oooh lala! And the atmosphere and ambiance was great! No complaints. If you're looking for a date night or girls night, this is YOUR place... even if it's a solo dolo kinda night, you will love this place. Come visit and ask for Hien (server) & Andrew (manager)! Tell them Marel sent you!

If I had to come back here for one thing and one thing only, it would absolutely be the the yuzu miso marinated black cod! It was SO delicious and cooked to perfection. The sauce that came with it was so good too. I usually don't like cooked fish that much, but this was the best cooked fish I've ever had in my life. My friends really hyped up this dish, and I can say that this was definitely worth the hype.I came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday, and I wanted to try this place out because it's so close to where I live, and I also have not been here before.I also recommend getting the grilled bone marrow dish too. It's so good and the toast that came with it tasted really good! This dish is unique because I don't really see this at other restaurants.I tried the Chef's choice nigiri, and it was so delicious! It's a great choice, if you're indecisive like me, on what to get. For dessert, I tried the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. You can't ever go wrong with this combination. The chocolate cake is almost like a lava cake, so it's warm and goes well with the cold ice cream.Service was great, and they treated us really well here. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend this place to anyone for a date night or a celebration.
