Robert's Pizza and Dough

All 4 pizzas we got were realllly good. My favorite was the walk in the woods, but the Rita was probably one of the best cheese pizzas I have ever had. The Cali italia would be next - it was different and I did like the jam and balsamic with the prosciutto. The cup and char was as good as and other pepperoni, but nothing above and beyond. I had to start with the pizzas even though we ate apps first because the pizza just stole the show. I am glad we added some greens to our meal and I did enjoy the apple hazelnut salad. The arancini was tasty, but the Arabbiata sauce was just a little too spicy for me. The burrata was also good but small and nothing extra special. We also got the meatballs which as far as meatballs go were slightly above average. The service was great and we had a nice big table with a booth that was great for our large party from work. We had to change our numbers and timing around a few times and they were very accommodating! The place is really big and I would definitely like to go back and sit on the deck/patio.

Okay, we have died and gone to pizza heaven! Robert's Pizza and Dough Company is amazing.We ordered The Rita pizza at the takeout window. Yazmin was so kind and helpful in placing the order. She kept us updated on our order as we waited. Yazmin and the back kitchen operated with such a flow, it was both fun and reassuring to see. We knew we were in excellent hands! You can tell everyone really loves what they do there.Well, let's talk pizza now... woahhhh. The crust is perfectly crisp and ingredients really fresh and tasty. Everything combined perfectly to create this magical pie. We definitely will be returning and look forward to the dine-in experience, as well. The patio looks like it has a fabulous view of water!During this visit, we even got to meet the owner Robert!!! What a cool person. He told us how he started Robert's and all about the recipe that took years of perfecting leading to it. Knowing that his passion to create a great piece of pizza makes us love Robert's Pizza and Dough Company even more!We loved our experience and highly recommend it. Five stars doesn't do it justice!!! Deserves many, many more.

What's not to like about duck pizza on the river. A little bit of a maze to find the restaurant. Make a reservation if you want to sit outside(and in general it's a popular spot). You can also sit at the bar and order thought it's limited seating and not really amenable to standing since you may block the walkway.

This place says it all.. Outstanding pizza and food, great service, & atmosphere right on the water in an amazing area downtown. We always get the seafood pizza!

Pretty great dough: crispy and structured with a nice chew. The outside crust is crispy while lighter and fluffier on the inside. Maybe the best dough in the city. We got the pepperoni half and sausage on the other. Standard order to judge a pizza. A few of the other pizzas sounded tasty, but we wouldn't have been able to eat two pizzas between the two of us. Unfortunately they cannot do half and half for pizzas with different base sauces. The pizza topping flavors were pretty good, but I wasn't super impressed. I would definitely recommend Robert's if you're in the area and looking for pizza. It definitely better than the typical pizza places and deep dish spots in this area of the city. Service was fine and the interior decor has a classic Chicago pizza place vibe, maybe a little touristy feeling. There's seating outside by the river, so if it's a nice day outside it's a great place to sit!

Came here for lunch with friends. Great location along the river with outdoor seating but I would recommend reservations for that, especially on the weekends. Pizza was great! We got the duck prosciutto pizza and it had great flavor and the crust was nice and crispy. Our friends ordered the roasted vegetables pizza and loved it. One pizza is more than enough for 2 people. Service is good and we left stuffed!

This place is cute, they have seating outside right on the river. It was not too busy when we were there for Sunday brunch. We all ordered breakfast food; pancakes, eggs, and the huevos rancheros 10 inch pizza. The food was really good. The only slight issue was the food came out at all different times. The pizza came out 10 minutes before the rest of the plates. The egg dish my friend got had chips and the chips were super soggy and gross. The pancakes were good. Overall good food but the timing of food coming out was poor.

Love this place! Second time i've been there and this time I sat on the lower patio which was great for a summer night! Luckily came on a Tuesday which is when they have Detroit style which is my favorite. Also offer GF thin crust which is a bonus for the GF pizza lovers. Burrata comes with fig jam and was a great add to the dish. The detroit style pizza was perfectly crispy and loved the pepperoni one- only thing is a little more cheese could have put it over the top. Really delicious red sauce as well- planning my next visit asap!

Robert's is one of my favorite pizza places in Chicago! It's the perfect patio seating by the river in the summertime. All of their pizza's are incredible - Perfect crust and delicious combinations of toppings, the pepperoni one is one of the best. They also have an amazing espresso martini and huge variety of other cocktails on the menu. The service is always good and they're accommodating to larger parties.10/10 Would definitely recommend Robert's for your next pizza night!
