Ristorante Portovino

Our experience at Portovino is always a great one! The owner/chef is a good friend of our family and always treats us so kindly. We are given recommendations and specials upon seating and the food is always amazing and tastes delicious and authentic. I love the pumpkin gnocchi when it is in season & the pizza is so crisp and fluffy. The pasta is all homemade and top notch quality. Make a reservation to eat here, as they do not usually take walk-ins and only serve a few tables at once. Also expect a slower dining experience, but with good service.

Avoid!Over rated!Owner is an ass! Thinks he is a restaurateur. Arrogant owner who thinks he owns a Michelin star restaurant. So far from it. To the owner, Don't be an ass and be little your staff. You can't even take a simple reservation. The restaurant's short comings are the owners fault. Took entirely too long for the food.Flavor is mediocre. Doesn't matter what kind of Italian food you think you serve, it should NOT take as long as it did. Owner, Who the hell do you think you are, you arrogant ass!Then there was the pathetic portion size. You're better off at Anthony's Coal Fire.

Fantastic authentic Italian food!It's worth whatever wait others speak of. I was the last seating at 9:30 & had no wait for anything. The squid ink pasta was phenomenal. The Mushroom tagliatelle pasta was so fresh & light & very very good. Cesar salad & tiramisu were excellent. My new fav authentic Italian!!

Authentic Italian family sharing place. Chef came out to give his recommendation and you can feel the love for the food with every bite. Very unique and delicious food. Highly recommend eggplant appetizer and steak for dinner. You feel taste of Italy when you come here.

This is the worst restaurant in South Florida. we made a reservation for 6 for New Year's , they served 5 and my food was only served after everyone had finished their meals. It is expensive and service is a nightmare. It is garbage. Disrespectful. Worst experience. Would never ever return to this place.

Possibly the best Italian restaurant in Miami. The owner is the hostess the waiter the chef and everything in between. Expect slow service, expect a long dinner, expect phenomenal food.

This is the worst Italian restaurant experience I've ever had. We got there at 4:30, when their website says they open and they said they weren't open until 5pm. The margherita pizza had four shriveled pieces of basil on it, and the "special" was $90. When someone orders a "special", you need to tell them how much it's going to be if it's twice as much as everything else on the menu. Also the service was AWFUL. The owner or whoever he was , was gruff, ordering the waitstaff around loudly and rudely. He even demanded we restate our order for him and clarify exactly what we wanted. He does not belong in the hospitality business. The prices were astronomical for a place with a moldy drop ceiling and a TV that takes up an entire wall. The food was good, but not $90 an entree good. I don't know how they stay in business.

The best Italian restaurant in our area. All is amazing, service, food, location. Strongly recommend
